PARSON RUSSELL EAST OF ENGLAND 09 Judge(s) MISS S COLLIS DCC CH AFINLEA ROAD SIDE SKIPPER (MRS A J, MR J A & MRS S J BROWN & GRANGE) Parson Russell Terriers My first time awarding tickets & I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. PD (4) 1 Bygate’s Windynook Init To Winit, one for the future, only 9 months & so much promise, lovely head, proportions & body shape with good topline, had the best movement in the class & is a great size, still needs to settle a little more in the ring but time is on his side. Pushed hard for CC. RCC & BP; 2 Baker’s Pacolito Cost A Phortune, still a baby at 6 months & has plenty of time, good body & strength of head, correct coat, spannable. Movement however needs to settle; 3 Sutton’s Pacolito Persona at Springbeck. JD (3) 1 Tagg’s Rymshott Tactic, strong head with lovely eyes & expression, topline particularly good when moving, harsh coat, spannabl. Could settle more in the ring; 2 Cutler & Hughes’ Trumpmoor Exmoor, lovely outline, good front & keen expression, spannable, good head but not as strong as 1; 3 Farrow’s Glenholm Go Lucky. PGD (2,1) 1 Sollis’ Mister Bonamonty, ideal size, good front & topline, lovely shape of head, spannable, moved with purpose. Would have preferred a narrower front. LD (6,1) 1 Doyle’s Alne Master Piece of Ilexquercus, lovely outline, good strength of head, correct topline & tailset, spannable, moved & showed well for handler; 2 Broadberry’s Ratscallion How Dare Yer, a bit unsettled in the ring but a good type of terrier with strong head, topline & tailset, front could have been tighter; 3 Pell’s Olliebark Star Performer. OD (7,1) 1 Brown & Grange’s Ch Afinlea Road Side Skipper, very showy terrier with great head & straight front, well balanced with strong rearend, good coat, ideal size, spannable, moved best in class. CC but unfortunately didn’t move as well in challenge for BOB; 2 Johnson’s Garsayno Astronemer, head & front not as good as 1 but a sound terrier with lovely topline & tailset, correct size, easily spannable; 3 Tagg’s Rymshott Strider. PB (6) 1 Sutton’s Pacolito Maid A Phortune at Springbeck, won the class on movement, has correct coat, straight front, lovely head & expression, ideal size & easily spannable, good potential for the future as only just over 6 months; 2 Dolman’s Pacolito Phirstpick, very showy youngster with correct topline & tailset, strong head, spannable. Movement needs to settle but still only 7 months; 3 Rimmer’s Kylini Spellsabound. JB (2) 1 Bigland’s Heythrop Tri, ideal size, great outline when settled, harsh coat, feminine head & lovely expression, easily spannable. Somewhat unsettled in the ring at times; 2 Chen’s Pacolito Phaithfull, strong head, good coat, topline & tailset, showed well. Preferred size & balance of 1. PGB (8,4) 1 Bigland’s Heythrop Tandy, very showy girl, handy size, lovely feminine head with good topline & tailset. Would have preferred more bend to her stifle; 2 Farrow’s Halishmoor Final Fling, ideal size with a well proportioned, feminine head, good coat, correct topline & tailset. Front not as good as 1; 3 Selby’s Warden Law at Jacksden. LB (9,3) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Phirstclass, showed her socks off for her handler, correct size with good topline & tailset, keen expression, strong head & front, spannable with harsh coat, moved well. CC & BOB; 2 Steel’s Garsayno The Dancer, good outline with feminine head & straight front, keen expression, spannable. Ideally front could have been a little narrower; 3 Bigland’s Heythrop Tiadrop. OB (8,2) 1 Swift & Parr’s Pacolito Picture Monkey, showy terrier with a good outline, correct size, strong head with right tailset, spannable, moved OK. Slightly lacking in coat. RCC; 2 Pell’s Olliebark Thats My Girl, lovely outline with good coat & topline, feminine, well proportioned head. Overall preferred the movement of 1 but pushed hard for 1st place; 3 Baker's Pacolito X Rated. Breeder 1 Baker’s well matched & even quartet, although the only group to take part they moved out well together & made a strong team. STEPHANIE COLLIS
