PARSON RUSSELL JUDGE BOURNEMOUTH 17

I really enjoyed judging this breed at CC level for the first time. They are such great characters and I thought the breed has stayed pretty true to type.

PD (2)

1. Hooley's Hoolmark Johnny Guitar. Well proportioned baby. Fairly well balanced head with strong jaw. Strong neck. Well laid shoulder with good return of upper arm. Well ribbed back. Good rear. Super coat. Just a bit loose out and back but a lengthy stride on profile.

2. Hall's Frithgarth Stone Meadow. Slightly tall for his length of back. Long head and ears need to settle. Good neck and shoulder. Well ribbed. Moderate rear. Loose in front but v good hind action.

JD (2)

1. Broadberry's Mindlen Magnum at Ratscallion. Really super puppy. Lovely for size and type. Well balanced head with super eye and expression. Well set ears. Enough neck. Well laid shoulders and good return upper arm. Super body, correct topline with well set tail. Well muscled rear with enough angulation. Moved well, although can just tighten in front. real cracker. CC, BOB, BP and puppy G4

2. Newport's Digaden Pitch Perfect. Liked him v much for type and proportion. Masc head, just a bit cheeky, but well set ears and super eyes. Correct neck. Well laid shoulder. Can just tighten in front. Well bodied, with good tail set. Liked his rear.

LD  (3,2)

1. Kirkby's Rountfelley Beaspoke. Very typy b with good proportions. Masc head, slight stop, well set ears. Enough neck. He could have just a little more front angulation, which would give a longer stride,. In super body. Firm topline with well set tail. Well muscled rear with good bend of stifle. Accurate on move.

OD (7,1)

V competitive class.

1. Baker's Ch Pacolito Protolythic. Liked his outline and proportions. Super head with well set ears. Enough neck. Well laid shoulder. A bit steep in upper arm and elbows could be tighter. Correct depth of chest. Well ribbed back to sufficient loin. Correct topline and tailset. Really super rear, which he used so well on move. RCC

2. Blair & Hadley's Cleve Hill Kasper. Certainly full of character. V good head with super eyes, ears just a bit high set. Good neck and front.. found him just a bit over sprung in ribbing. Arch to loin. Strong rear. Sound mover and in super jacket.

3. Smith's Dagaden Top Hat & Tails.

Vet D (2)

1. Pell's Cassacre Sea Urchin at Olliebark. Fill of fun. He is well proportioned. Masc head, ears could be better. Balanced in angulation. Liked his topline and tailset. Went well.

2. Hall's Frithgarth Jack Frost. 11 years and just a little heavy now. Well balanced, masc head. Ears could be held better. Well ribbed back. Good tailset. Low hocks.

PB (3)

1. Newport's Digaden Runner Bean. Liked her for size and proportions, could carry less colour on her body.. Fem head, super eye and expression. Lengthy neck. Quite a good front. Well bodied. Correct topline with slight arch to loin, well set tail. V good rear.

2. Neild's Logieait Lambie Lalley. Nice proportions. She has a fem head. Angulation is well balanced but just rather too moderate. Well ribbed back. V good coat.

3. Steele's Digaden Get Up and Go.

PGB (3,1)

1. Hall's Frithgarth Sky Lantern. She has a well balanced outline. Fem head, super ears, v slight stop. good neck. Well made front. Could have a slightly longer loin. Correct topline. Enough hind angulation. Moved well.

2. Pell's Pippinsbrook Minnie the Minx at Olliebark. A great character. Fem head, ears could be smaller. Good neck. Well made front. Correct depth of chest. Well set tail. Could have more turn of stifle and be better in hind action. Good coat.

LB  (6,2)

1. Collis' Riplington Dream Image. Liked her balance and proportions. Fem head, well set ears and good expression. Lengthy neck. Well laid shoulder. Super body. Well set and carried tail. Preferred her rear to 2.

2. Smith & Moon's Alncroft Tussle. Full of fun and shows so v well. Liked her head. Lengthy neck. Well laid shoulder, but just flicks her front slightly. Super tail set and carriage.

3. Collin's Matsstar Moonshine

OB (10,3)

Tough class to sort, quite a mixture here but all with things to commend them.

1. Smith & moon's Ch Alncroft I Spy. Liked her shape and proportions. She has a super head, well set ears and lovely expression. Good neck into well laid shoulders. Would like just a little less width of front. Well ribbed. Correct loin. Super topline and tail set with straight tail. Enough hind angulation. Super coat and muscle. CC

2. Newport's Digaden Made To Measure. Liked her type v much. Fem head, could have just a fraction more length of muzzle. Good neck. Decent front. Super body and rib. Well set tail. Enough hind angulation. Just not as good on move as 1, but a super b. RCC

3. Highfield's Bradpole Beauty

Vet B (1)

1. Newport's Pacolito Xpectations. Grand 10yrs b of super type. She has a lovely head. Good neck and front. Just a bit heavy in body new. Lovely coat texture. Could have a little more hind angulation. Went and showed v well.
