Parson Russell Terriers

It is always a pleasure to judge this breed. I was very pleased with the exhibits standing & most were just the type I prefer, but sadly several were very close behind, almost plaiting with the rear legs. I had no problem spanning any exhibit. There were some dirty teeth which needed cleaning & some coats were very sparse.

1 Johnson’s Garsayno Magic Man, young dog, took my eye straight away, lovely typical expression & ear carriage, good angulation, good coat. BD;

2 Roberts & Todd’s Chataway Careless, very young, promising puppy, all attributes required. Needs to mature a little;

3 Smith’s Bethane Liberton Lassie.

1 Roberts & Todd’s Shooting Star over Chataway, good head & expression, good ear placement, good angulation. Prefer slightly deeper through body. Good coat;

2 Roberts & Murray’s Mindlen Matuka, very little to choose between 1 & 2, both had many similar good points. This young lady was reluctant to walk properly which cost her;

3 Steel & Johnson’s Garsayno Yum Yum.

1 Rimmer’s Kylini Spellsabound, my type of PRT to a tee, lovely type of head & expression, good angulation, moved well, good coat, excellent outline. BOB;

2 Roberts & Murray’s Ardencote Tangle with Mindlen, super bitch, excellently handled by young handler, despite being given bit of hard time trying to get to move correctly. Should do very well when settles down more;

3 Laird’s Mindlen Monro.

A strong class. Could change places many times.

1 Roberts & Todd’s Stars And Stripes, nice head & expression, good ear placement, good shoulders, good angulation. RBD;

2 Coelho & Philp’s Ch PT Gambler Da Roseira Brava, have admired from ringside, perfect picture standing, would have been my choice for BD. Movement was untypical;

3 Farrow’s Glenholm Happy Go Lucky.

Another very nice strong class.

1 Roberts & Murray’s Ch Mindlen Mataura, very attractive with good outline, excellent conformation, nice expression, well developed loin, well muscled. RBB;

2 Stubbs’ Ch Ir Ch Mindlen Forestbow Fir Cone, very smart, well muscled, good ear placement, good angulation, nice outline, moved well;

3 Rimmer’s Kylini Mythnmyst.
