PARSON RUSSELL JUDGE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 24

What an extraordinary privilege to have been invited to award CCs to one of my breeds very next to my heart, because I have been Vice Chairman of Parson and Jack Russell Terrier Club of Austria before I became President of whole Austrian Terrier Club for now. And it was not only this but even much more, because judging them let me experience a wonderful and harmoneous multiplicity of sound Parsons full of their original workmanship and specific beauty as well – much more of that so very important combination for making a breed prospering than I have seen and judged over so many years in the rest of Middle Europe and especially my homeland. So it is no wonder, that in total opposite from what I have experienced elsewhere all of them had been of correct proportion with most of them easy spanable chests, what I will not mention seperately again. And – OMG – it was the absolute icing on the cake, that I have had the honor to put – with spontaneous goosbumps over my whole body – my hands on the very best and sound representative of this breed I have ever judged, that became my BOB and a bit later watching him with tears all over my eyes when he was awarded with TERRIER BEST OF GROUP at this wonderful show.

MPD

1 Ryzing Star Via Pacolito. 6 months; quite at the upper limit of size this cutie impressed me with a nice sound head full of typical expression, correct stop, strong teeth, only a bit heavy ears; the topline is straight and due to age not finally consolidated; excellent croup with correct tailset and carriage; angulations are correct and the movement is very sound and well trained for this age.

JD

1 Vixenview Silent Uh Sass In. 13 months; correct size with an excellent, well developed masculine head, correct ears, eyes of good dark colour, ears of correct size; excellent back and croup with well set and carried tail; more or less correct dimension of chest, only forechest could be minimally better developed; parallel in standing, with correct angulation in front, sufficient in rear; movement correct from aside and in rear, a bit narrow in front; correct coat.

PGD

1 Heythrop Tamar. 20 months; correct sized male with a bit female length of loin; very nice and expressive masculine head, excelent set and carriage of hiss mall ears, correct inbeded, a bit bright eyes, good size of teeth that should be cleaned a bit more; excellent substance of bones with correct angulation in front and rear; movement excellent with correct drive from behind at sideview, correct in rear, only sometimes a bit narrow in front.

LD

1 Alncroft Hijack. 19 months; excellent proportioned dog of lower size but nevertheless excellent masculine attitude and head in perfect harmony to his body; what a keen and allert expression out of his wonderful dark eyes framed by perfectly structured, set and carried small ears; excellent upper and lower line, well developed chest of harmonious structure, strong but easy spannable; excellent structure and substance of bones that are well muscled with correct sound angulation; no wonder that the movement is really excellent from all sides of view and so this dog was awarded with Dog Res CC, too.

2 Plunkett Woody At Kylini. 19 months as well; at the upper size limit tricolor, but very sound in structure; very masculine attitude fitting to his size; correct size of quite spannable chest, only would wish a bit more forechest; excellent bones and angulations with good movment and enough drive from behind.

OD

It is perhaps once or twice in a judge´s lifetime, that some dog enters the showring and you are spontaneously getting goosebumps and being touched by a shiver of delight and now, writing these lines, having again tears of gratitude in my eyes, to have had the incredible honor to put my hands on this wonderful fellow, of whom, I am so very sure, even Reverend John Russell as the founder of this breed had been dreaming of in his keenest dreams:

1 Ch Heythrop Task Master For Alcncroft. 6 years, 10 months, modern type of Parson with straight back on to the set of tail, absolutely near to the breed-standard in never seen harmony and soundness and without any exaggeration; flashing expression of head and extreme ring-presence – no wonder that this dog in spite of all the high quality of all the Parsons in the showring today was awarded with the Dog CC, BOB and later TERRIER BEST OF GROUP under my dear well known colleague and Terrier Specialist Ann Ingram.

2 Ch Pacolito Resurrection JW. 25 months, upper sized with excellent masculine head and attitude, only a bit heavy ear; harmoneous and sound in total type, excellent topline and tailset, strong, not so easy spannable chest; very well angulated in front and rear with excellent movment from side-, front- and rear-view; correct coat.

SBB

1 Heythrop Tangle. 6 years 7 months; very classical type of smooth coated Parson, tender in body, tough and firm in character, exactely that what this breed ever should have been, with a wonderful smart expression out of her a bit round eyes; bones soundly fitting to her body with correct angulations in front and rear combined with a correct movement full of passion and hereby awarded Best Special Beginner.

2 Vixenview Montero Of Shemist. Almost 2 years, all over white bitch with excellent dark eye and well structured female head fitting to her smaller, but sound body; easy spannable; allmost straight back in standing, when moving the loin starts to rise a bit.

MPB

1 Deglacobs Rebecca Riot. 8 ½ months; very nice structured of middle size and typical female in expression and attitude; excellent head, especially very nice small ears, correct inbeded and coloured eyes; correct topline, chest correctly developed for her age; angulations in front and rear without exaggerations – moves quite well and absolutely worth tob e awarded as Best Puppy!

2 Cassjoebar Chunky Monkey. 7 months; well structured and sound in type, bit larger in size; nice female head and expression; today, quite typical for her age, not in top mood to present herself, so movement, though being well angulated in front and rear as well as shape sometimes affected by a bit of shyness.

PB

1 Mindlen Talla Trout. 10 months; due to age at the moment a bit cautious; very short trimmed coat with quite a lot of ticking, nice head with very nice small correctly carried ears, wonderful dark eyes; correct topline, moderately angulated; enough chest for her age, moves well.
