AIREDALE SKC MAY 14 Judge(s): MR F KANE Airedale Terriers I enjoyed the entry & appreciated the sporting exhibitors, a feature sadly diminishing in many breeds. Many thanks to my stewards Vernon Peel & Diana Kirkwood. PD 1 Toulsyork Idiosyncracy, 8 months, very good headed dog, of good proportions & good ribs. A touch soft in body yet but moved well. Very good coat. Ears need to settle. Won BP over his litter sister on quarters & tail. BP. PGD 1 Colldale The Hero, 18 months, smart dog with excellent outline & good coat. Very good head & eye. Needs to fill out in rib & body up. Smart mover. Uses his ears well; 2 Gardaire Lanarks Thistle, 3 year old, a heavier type all through. Good ribcage. A little long for balance. Sound mover & good temperament. Not the head qualities of winner. The sporting attitude of this owner is an example for all. LD 1 Sherifs Red Beret, 21 months, excellent short coupled body & good movement. Very good coat. Could be a little finer in backskull. Uses ears well, scored in topline & front movement. RCC; 2 Russtam Starman at Sonorra, almost 3 years, lovely head & eye, did score here but a little longer in couplings & this showed on his topline. Good quarters. Could be cleaner in front action; 3 Nedella Sparks In The Park at Arngask. OD 1 Ir Ch Bambusa Most Noble, 3 years, smart dog in excellent form. All Airedale in type, excellent body & sound. Clean head without coarseness. Holds an excellent topline & tail carriage on the move. CC, his third, & BOB; 2 Saredon The Last Samurai, lovely headed with excellent outline, rather let himself down on the last run off with the winner; 3 Aust Sup Ch Oldiron Flame Thrower. PB 1 Toulsyork Ha Ha Hope, 9 months, beautifully coated bitch with excellent topline. Long clean head with good eye. Good topline & ribbing. Tail carriage a little tight; 2 Colldale Into The Night, 6 months feminine bitch who is raw but has type & quality. A touch low in tailset. Sound. Winner had a big pull in maturity here. JB 1 Bealytan Best Seller of Colldale, 16 months, smart bich with excellent topline & tailset, good mover. Quality clean head, needs to settle in ears; 2 Nedella Allspice at Ellwoodkings, 16 months, appealed greatly in outline & type, in excellent coat. Ears could be better set. Very good head. While she was sound on the move but happy in the surroundings which was a great pity. PGB 1 Nedella Olympic Medallist from Buddonwood, 20 months, in excellent coat, good head, eye a touch large. Good ears, a touch long in couplings & this shows in the topline. Sound mover, convincing winner of this class; 2 Matrasen Scarlet Lace with Evaire, 22 months, immature bitch needing to fill out in body & settle in her front action but has a good head & ears & good topline & tail which gave her this place. LB 1 Muliebritty Rilletta, 2 year old, lovely headed bitch of good type, she is a little long in the couplings & could be firmer in topline but scored in tailset & head over 2 Colldale Hope And Glory, 18 months bitch, very smart & sound moving. Good head & ears. Not the tailset or maturity of body of the winner. OB Best class of the day & all the bitches had a lot of quality. 1 Ir Ch Bambusa Dream Model, 3 years, full of breed type, excellent topline, lovely quality & very well built, scored in coat & eye to win this class & CC, sound moving; 2 Aust Ch Oldiron One In A Million, looked my winner standing but not in her best coat & this decided the issue. Beautiful outline & good head & very good movement. I would prefer a slightly smaller eye & neater ears but her body shape, proporitons & topline & tailset took her to the RCC; 3 Muliebrity Oceana. VB All a credit to owners & breed. 1 Jetstream Jewel via Wendaire, 7 years in excellent form & a credit to her owner. Very good head, tailset could be better, showed with spirit to win this; 2 Thistleaire Cracklin Rosie, almost 8 years, I liked her a lot, just a touch short on the leg for balance but a better tailset than 1. 1 just showing more spirit; 3 Jolliver Angel Delight.
