AIREDALE SKC MAY 13 Judge(s): MRS M J MORRIS Airedale Terriers PD (0). JD (1) 1 Toulson’s Toulsyork Fisty Filbert, very attractive 14 months dog, ample bone & smart profile, harsh b/t coat, dark expressive eye, used ears well, correct shaped head, scissor bite with strong teeth. Lean neck into well placed shoulders & kept topline level on move, straight front, ample spring of rib, well padded feet. Movement out & back covering the ground when he settled. Worthy CC. PGD (1) 1 Collins’ Gardaire Lanarks Thistle, good grizzle coat, dark Eye, plenty of body. Rather long back. Movement close at back but moved well for his novice owner. More attention required to trimming. RCC withheld due to insufficient merit. LD (0). OD (1) Withdrawn by owner. PB (5) 1 Brown’s Dendaric Xtra Gold, 7 months playful puppy enjoying the occasion as a puppy should. Bone of excellent proportion, long head with good jaw, scissor bite, dark eye, neat ears, lovely straight front, ample neck leading to laid back shoulder & on to level topline, good tailset. Excellent bend of stifle, well padded feet, makings of a good harsh coat. Moved positively when settled, well presented & handled. BP; 2 Ablard’s Saredon First Alexandria, very smart, well presented 11 months puppy, head of excellent shape & proportions, neat ears, decent length of neck into laid back shoulders. Kept level topline on move. Lighter in bone than 1 & would prefer a better bend of stifle; 3 Greig’s Matrasen Scarlet Lace with Evaire. JB (4) 1 Baker’s Jokyl Bright Star, 14 months bitch of correct size, decent coat & colour, in good order, lean head, dark expressive eye. Ears held a little high. Straight front, level topline, well sprung ribs, tail on top, ample bend of stifle. Moved OK; 2 Mayo’s Relight My Fire for Starcana, well up to size 13 months bitch, nicely presented & handled, good dark harsh jacket, lean head, small dark eye, straight front. Rather long in back. Short hocks, good bend of stifle. Would prefer more body. Not happy moving around the ring; 3 Mitchell & McColl’s Harpham Christmas Cracker. PGB (2) 1 Clarke’s Jolliver Angel Delight, cobby bitch with plenty of covering, good scissor bite, dark eyes. Movement & ears not her fortune, but won class on presentation; 2 Mitchell & McColl’s Harpham Christmas Cracker, bitch of ample proportions. Straight front with well laid shoulders. Rather low tailset & coat not in show trim. Moved OK. LB (4) 1 Lockett’s The Wilderness JP Gypsy Lady at Jaideld, fine boned elegant bitch of good all round proportions, long lean head, small dark expressive eye, neat ears, used well, straight front leading into good shoulders & level topline, well sprung rib, good jacket, well presented & handled. Moved with drive & purpose; 2 Ablard’s Russtam Star Attraction, smaller bitch with a lot of good qualities, dark eyes, well filled foreface, scissor bite, good length of neck into well laid shoulders, kept topline on move, presentation good. Moved well; 3 Clarke’s Muliebrity Crowning Glory. OB (3) 1 Averis’ Katerina’s Land Spicy Cherry, have been waiting to get my hands on this bitch & she did not disappoint from any aspect. Impeccably groomed & handled, classy head, so well proportioned, neat ears, lovely dark eyes giving true terrier expression, long neck into super laid back shoulders. Level topline in profile & on the move, tail bang on top, super ribbing & correct bend of stifle with no exaggerations. Moved as though she owned the ring. CC, BOB & G2; 2 Toulson’s Toulsyork Effulgent, good all round sound bitch, long head, well filled foreface, small dark eye, used ears to advantage, ample neck into level topline, harsh b/t coat which was well presented.
