AIREDALE JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 22

I would like to thank the Officers and Committee of the National Terrier Club for inviting me, and making my day a very pleasurable experience. I also thank the exhibitors for entering the show and allowing me the privilege of judging their dogs, and their courteous way of excepting my decisions. I found that all dogs were of good temperament and well presented. My only concern is the number of dogs that were short in forearm, this not only affects front movement, but also the whole balance of the dog, I feel that this need to be looked at very carefully.

Special Beginners D/B (3)

1. Richardson. Glentops Naught But Nice. (B). Well balanced head of good length, dak eye giving a good expression, clean neck into well - muscled shoulders, level topline, tail well set with plenty behind, well angulated hind quarters, moved ok, handled presented well.

2. Blackburn. Jecadie Just Spicy Sparkler for Lumosadie. (B). Balanced head with a flat skull, dark eye, ample neck with strong shoulders and topline, fair angulated hind quarters, moved ok, well-handled and presented.

3. Allen. Kentwone Playing With Fire to Andmaura. NAF TAF (D).

MPD. (1)

1. Toulson. Toulsyork Sequel. Nine months and thoroughly enjoying his day, well handled. Long lean head with no sign of fullness in cheek, dark eye, fair length of neck, good layback of shoulder, no real depth of chest or muscle yet, as to be expected in one so young, short back with good spring of rib, decent bent of stifle, good coat and texture, moved well when settled.

PD. (6.2)

1. Pickering. Stargus Alldandini at Joliver NAF. 10 months, this young dog was a pleasure to go over. A balanced head of correct proportions, dark eye, well set ears used to advantage, strong underjaw, fair length of neck leading into a good layback of shoulder, chest just deep enough will drop with maturity. Short back held steady on the move, correct length of loin, tail well set with plenty behind, well angulated hindquarters, moved well with drive and purpose. Best Puppy in Breed was pleased to see him shortlisted in the Group.
