AIREDALE TERRIER

Most of the quality in the breed today is within the bitches. Dogs in general while fitting the breed standard, do not display real quality. On the other hand some bitch classes contained much better balance and conformation and showed with purpose. Heads, forefaces and mouths are generally good, Eyes in some cases could cause some concern becoming a little bold with black rims taking away from expression. Front ends in general have improved, but rear end angulation and strength of quarters should become a priority as should attitude.

PD

1 Jackson &Swash's Jokyl Star Turn. Good head and ears, straight front, level top with good tail set, nice jacket, moved well and enjoyed the ring.

2 Morris' Nedella Gambling Man. Good head and neck, straight front, good tailset, nice colour, not so happy, movement erratic, needs to tighten all over.

JD

1 Toulson's Toulsyork Delfy Dexter. Good head and foreface, nice neck into short coupled body with good tail set, small tight feet, reasonable balance, nice coat and colour, better ear use would help expression, wants to fill in body.

2 Averis' Saredon Last Samurai. Nice dog, good head and neck, nice front with good back end and high set, trifle long cast, not so happy in the ring today, a dog that needs time.

3 Acton's Jantaradon He's The Wizzard.

PG 1 Noyce's Black Prince. Small dog, good front, short back, good set on with enough rear angulation, low hocks and moved well, good jacket, too lightly made up.

LD

1 Lee's Stargus Raiden. Masculine dog, strong head and foreface with good ear carriage, straight front, good bone and feet, level top with excellent rear end angulation into low hocks, would like a little more rib, in the challenge first movement was uncomfortable, final movement and looser lead on more even surface was ok, ring performance, animation and confidence took him to the CC.

2 Turner, Swash &Jackson's Crillee Carry On Commando With Jokyl. Compact dog, nice head, ear and eye giving good expression, nice front into well laid shoulder, good body with decent set on, moved true fore and aft, would like a little more rear angle and animation.

3 Holbrook's Matrasen The Juggler.

OD

1 Averis' Int Ch Katherina's Land Quite So. Good head and neck into lovely forehand with straight terrier front, short coupled body with level top and high set on, enough behind tail but shorter second thigh detracts from rear end angulation, ring presence and overall quality gave him the Res CC.

2 McCallum's Glentops Hugh Bett. Compact dog, well proportioned and balanced, front straight but a little heavy, short, well ribbed body with fair tail set and good rear end angulation, rolled a little on the move.

MPB

1 Turner's Crillee Carry On Baby. Promising puppy. Feminine head and well placed ears, well balanced with straight front, good spring of rib and set on, low hocks, good coat and colour, happy youngster who moved well.

PB

1 Averis' Saredon Taste Of Honey. Quality bitch, lovely heada nd ears, nice neck, straight front, fair rib, level topline with excellent set on, good bend of stifle and well let down hocks, well boned and tight feet, moved well. I would prefer slightly smaller eye.

2 Ladsacres April Love With Glentops. Balanced head and good ears giving nice expression, well ribbed and level top, good for bone and substance, harsh jacket, needs to settle in movement.

3 Keay's Jaymitch Gift Before Dawn.

JB

1 Johnstone's Jecadie Dipped In Spice. Well balanced bitch with good head and expression, short well ribbed body, good angulation and well let down hocks, tight feet, moved well.

2 Toulson's Toulesyork Effulgent. Balanced bitch with no exaggerations. Nice neck into short backed body, lost out on head and rear angulation.

3 Touessrok Super Saphire Of Colldale.

NB

1 Gray's Russtam Summer Wine At Grayaire. Good enough quality but disguised by weight and hair, well boned, good front, rib, tail set, rear angulation, moved well.

2 Haley's Vivavick Supercilious. Good head and nice expression, well bodied with level topline, harsh jacket, fluent mover but a little tight at the elbow and short second thigh.

3 Spragg's Saredon Sea Breeze.

PGB

1 Edington-Hall's Wendaire Jokers Angels Kiss. Rather heavily made up all over, good head, front and well ribbed, good bone, good stifling and moved well.

2 Haly's Vivavick's The Royal We. Good balanced head, well bodied with nice rib and tail set, moved ok but not enjoying her day.

LB

1 Jackson &Swash's Jokyl Red Ribbons. Quality bitch, balanced head, correct ear carriage and good expression, lovely neck into well laid shoulders and straight front, well ribbed, short coupled body, level topline and good tail set, good bend of stifle and low hocks, harsh jacket, well presented and good ring manner, keeps topline on the move but straining on lead at times, somewhat distorted front action, overall quality assured her of CC and BOB.

2 Ablard's Russtam Star Attraction. Very nice well balanced bitch, great coat and colour, good head, straight front and well laid clean shoulders, short body with good tailset, well stifled. If used ears and showed with any animation, would trouble the best.

3 Saredon Solar Eclipse With Jecadie.

OB

1 Jackson &Swash's Another good quality bitch, lovely head, strong muzzle, good ears and expression, well laid shoulder and good length of neck, deep chest but not obstructing leg movement, short well ribbed body, good stifle and set on, hard jacket, moved well. Res CC.

2 Miller's Lakeaire Lily The Pink. Smaller type, compact bitch with good all round balance, nice head and ears, enough neck and good shoulders, level top with good tailset, moved well.
