AIREDALE LKA 10 Judge: Mrs L Lee LESLEY LEE (JUDGE) PD (3) 1. Baker’s Islandaire Yer Maun, 6mths and shows great promise. Great outline at this stage. Length of head balances a cobby body. Good expression coming from a good dark eye with nicely carried ears. Scissor bite. Nice length of neck flowing into a well laid shoulder and lay of upper arm giving good front angulation. Level topline and good tailset with good rear angulation. Excellent coat and colour moved steady for one so young. 2. Norcross Richardson Howorth Oliver’s Russtam Going for Gold 8mths taller and rangier than 1 but with maturity should all come together. Head is of good length with an excellent eye with ears nicely carried. Scissor bite. Good reach of neck into a nice lay of shoulder and good front angulation. Level topline with good rear angulation. Movement not as steady as one. 3. Hargreaves’ Toffeeblue Moyes. JD (5) 1. Brown’s Oceanaire Beachcomber. Solid upstanding dog with a nice outline. Length of head good and, when uses ears, has a good expression. Scissor bite. Good reach of neck into OK shoulders and front angulation. Topline level but would like a bit better tailset. Good rear angulation and movement was steady. Good coat and colour, short backed and nicely presented and handled. 2. Moore’s Jokyl Time After Time another upstanding dog with excellent coat and colour. Good head eye and ears and bite. Would like more neck and slopes from shoulder to tailset. Good rear angulation. Movement not as good as one. 3. Hargreaves’ Toffeeblue Moyes. PGD (3/1ab) 1. Eastall’s Daedal Hi Mister Webster now 5yrs of age and looking well. Good coat and colour. Would like a finer head. Excellent eye and good expression when uses his ears. Scissor bite. Moderate length of neck into a nice shoulder and upper arm. Level topline and good tailset. Rear angulation good. Little erratic in movement and toes in at back. Overall picture of a cobby short backed dog well presented and handled. A steady showman. 2. Gomersal’s Matrasen Smokey Joe. 4th in jnr. Excellent coat and colour with a good head. A nice expression but would improve if he used his ears more. A little more neck would balance length of back. OK in topline and tailset. Needs to steady in movement. If he were to enjoy himself more he would look much better. LD (5/1ab) 1. Hampton & Hall’s Muliebrity Grandioso. Stallion of a dog with an excellent overall outline. Excellent coat and colour. Good head but would finish the picture if it was a bit finer. Excellent expression from a good eye and good ear placement. Scissor bite. Good reach of neck into a good shoulder and level topline and tailset with excellent rear angulation. Movement was steady and good although would like a bit more reach in front. RCC. 2. Toulson’s Toulsyork Combat Cooper. So much to like about this dog. Good outline (when he pulls himself together), head and eye and rear angulation. Can be a bit erratic with ears but when used adds to the overall expression. Lovely length of neck. Today he was slack in topline but he needs more substance and to tighten overall especially in movement. Basically he needs to mature. 3. Callon & Callon-Winn’s Sonorra Jack Son at Russtam. OD (3/2ab) 1. Jackson & Swash’s Ch Jokyl Captain Scarlet. Excellent harsh coat and colour which unfortunately means his rear furnishings suffer but nevertheless a super upstanding male who probably has the best head currently in the ring. His expression is excellent. Excellent reach of neck into a good shoulder. Topline and tailset excellent, as is rear angulation. His movement is good. If I were being really picky lack of rear furnishings can make him look a bit strong in front and this would also be improved by a slightly better lay of upper arm but none of this detracts from the quality of this dog. PB (8/2ab) 1. Byrne’s Saredon Morning Breeze, Overall picture of a cobby pretty bitch showing all the time. Good length of head which balances the body. Excellent use of ears gives a good expression from a dark well shaped eye. Scissor bite. Good reach of neck into a nice lay of shoulder. Level topline and good tailset. Rear angulation very good and she moved very steady for one so young. BP. 2. Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Red Ribbons. Another promising puppy. Good head, eye and ear carriage giving a good expression. Lovely reach of neck into a nice lay of shoulder. Her overall outline is good when stacked but she was a bit of a handful. Movement good in front but a bit erratic behind. 3. Johnstone’s Saredon Solar Eclipse with Jecadie. JB (6/1ab/1wd). 1. Jackson & Swash Jokyl Time to Party very pretty bitch with a lovely head and expression. Well carried ears. Good reach of neck into nice lay of shoulder level topline and good rear angulation. 2. Haly’s Vivavick’s The Royal We. A more mature b than 1 with an excellent coat and colour and well presented. Nice head with very good expression. Lovely eye and well placed ears. Moderate length of neck leading into a good shoulder and upper arm. Level topline and good tailset and rear angulation. Steady mover. Overall outline is good but longer in the back than one. 3. Keay’s Jaymitch Misty Over Malvern. PGB (7). 1. Hampton & Hall’s Muliebrity True Spirit. Overall picture of an upstanding cobby bitch on her toes, good length of neck into a level short back with tail on top. Good head which would be even better if it was a shade longer. Good ear placement and dark eyes give an excellent expression. Nice lay of shoulder giving good front angulation with good bend of stifle giving good rear angulation. Tailset good. Moved well and steady. RBCC. 2. Hacker & Jenkin’s Sheriffs Winter Dawn. Improving with maturity and would look even better if she were to enjoy her day. Good coat and colour. A more refined head than 1. When she uses her ears she has a very good expression. Moderate length of neck into a nice shoulder. Level topline and back which is slightly longer than 1. Tailset good as is rear angulation. Moved OK. 3. Eastall’s Daedal Hi Point. LB (5) 1 Hacker & Jenkin’s Sheriffs Winter Jasmine. Always liked this b. When on her toes she shows an outline with a reachy neck, excellent length of head and v. short back. However when she loses interest she props and looks a little heavy in front and neck shortens. Excellent coat and colour. Good expression from nice eye and ear carriage but you only get fleeting glimpses of this! Good rear angulation. Good front movement, bit close behind. 2. Edwards’ Smockalley Top Totty. Excellent coat with good black and tan and very well presented. Head could be a bit longer to balance length of back. Good eye, ears and expression. Moderate length of neck. Good lay of shoulder but upper arm could be a bit better. Rear angulation good. Topline and tailset good. Rear movement a bit erratic. 3. Miller’s Lakeaire Lilly the Pink Sh.CM. OB (6/2a). 1. Toulson’s What Comes Around via Toulsyork. Overall picture of a cobby, quality b. with a jacket of harsh texture although the scattered brindle detracts. Good length of head which balances her body. Expression good as is her dark eye and ear placement. Nice reach of neck into level topline. Good lay of shoulder. In good body. Rear angulation good and moved well. I would like a bit more of her. CC. 2. Morris’s Kenocto Amaryllis at Nedella. A more rangier b than one with good length of neck into nice lay of shoulder with good front and rear angulation. Eye good. Ear carriage OK although a bit erratic. Scissor bite. Slight rise in topline to good tailset. Preferred movement of one but lots to like about her. 3. Keay’s Magwyr Sweet Dreams with Jaymitch.
