AIREDALE TERRIER

A nice quality entry with little between placings, was pleased to see quality in heads and overall body construction with better rear movement, but front movement still needs improving with a slight hackney movement creeping in. My thanks to all including two very helpful stewards for a very enjoyable day and to exhibitors for joining in a minute to remember a fellow exhibitor Elizabeth Oates.

DOGS: PGD (1)

1 Lee's Stargus Santa Rocks, strong majestic dog entered the ring as an Airedale should, on his toes and lovely condition, lovely dark eye and well placed ears with length to head and strength in muzzle without undue width, well ribbed on strong legs with well cushioned feet, substance to match body structure, little space between ribs and hips, brought in lovely condition, lovely rear action on well-muscled hindquarters, pushed hard in the challenge.

LD (3)
1 Jackson/Swash Jokyl Truly Noble, short compact body, well sprung ribs with strength in front as well as back-quarters showing on the move with no looseness in front and power from behind, gave this dog the edge over a quality class today to take the first place, good eye placement, neat ears with long lean head piece and strength of foreface, lovely reach of neck, used his ears and eyes adding to expression, tail on top and firm strong top line that remained so on the move to take RCC.

2 Toulson's Toulsyork Levity Lester. Lovely strong masculine dog, demands attention and handler gets the best from him, good strong head, but no hint of coarseness, good strong bite, dark eye and used his ears, liked his depth of brisket with good spring of rib, strong well boned legs with neat feet, substance to match body frame, lovely wiry coat, and strength in quarters, just needed to keep top line firmer on the move that made the difference, but pushed above hard and won over another quality dog.

3 Ablard's Katherine's Land Vip Lover.

OD (1)

1 Jackson & Swash Ch Jokyl Wish List, well-proportioned strong masculine dog, brought in tip top condition, loved his length of head with just the right width between ears good proportions between skull and foreface, powerful jaw with teeth to match, good eye with well-set ears that gave you their full attention, strong forelegs with shoulders well laid back, good rib, with short back and just the right amount of coupling, lovely back quarters with length to thighs and hocks well let down, tail on top with plenty behind, no disappointment on the move, move true both fore and aft with power from strong hindquarters, happy to award DCC.

BITCHES: Lovely class of three nice quality puppies.

PB (3)
1 Jackson/Swash Jokyl Red Letter Day, well matured 12mth youngster with lovely dark eyes full of expression, she likes the ring and shows it a great advantage, liked her front and reach of neck, well-proportioned head piece with good length and balance, ribs well sprung, and ample substance, short strong body lines, with strength in loins in keeping with age and nice bend of stifle, never put a foot wrong, tail up she moved with ease and confidence both ways keeping her top line level, Best Puppy.

2 Hampton/Hall's Muliebrity Enchanted Bay, well named this sweet just 6 mth baby, but she gave good account and showed well, good head, with length to skull using her eyes and ears with lovey expression, nice neckline with just the right amount of bone and substance in keeping with age, ribs sprung and hindquarters developing, never let handler down on the move and kept tail well up, giving her the edge today.
