Many thanks to the exhibitors who braved the diabolical conditions at Driffield, how you managed to get your dogs and a trolley etc to the benches is a mystery to me. I feel honoured that a good number of dogs had entered the show, but understandably there were some absentees. My major winners are as follows:- DCC and Best of Breed : Miss G Hill’s Ch Crillee Catch Of The Day With Gillaire. Res Dog CC : Mr. D E Ablard’s Katherina's Land Vip Lover . Bitch CC :Mr. T. Iwahashi, & Ms T Kanaya’s Int Ch UK Rockridge Jp I Can't Stop Lovin You .Res Bitch CC Mr. R & Mrs. J. Turner’s Crillee Carry On Maybe Baby and Best Puppy Mr. N & Mrs. H. 1st: Moore’s Jokyl True Grit At Arngask . Nice dog presented in very good condition. Masculine head, dark eye, good mouth, ears set and used well. Finer trimming of neck and under the chin would improve the picture. Adequate neck, shoulders OK, short back, topline held standing and on the move. Good rear angulation . Tail set ok. Handled and showed well.

1st: Ablards’ Katherina's Land Vip Lover . Solid, compact, masculine dog, very nice to go over. Head well balanced, good mouth, dark correct shaped eye, ears carried and used at all times. Strong neck which went into a good layback of shoulder, short back, level topline, well sprung ribs. Well muscled and angulated rear, tail on top with plenty behind. Moved very well with lots of drive. To be ultra critical I would like to see the furnishing on the back hocks reduced on the inside as this gives an illusion of closeness when he moves away.RCC

2nd: Toulson’s Toulsyork Levity Lester . Another quality male with lots to like. Good head, mouth, ear carriage. Strong neck into very good shoulder placement. Straight front, ribs well sprung with a good tuck. Tail set on top with good rear muscle tone and angulation. Longer cast than winner. Very well presented and handled.
