AIREDALE BOURNEMOUTH 15 Judge: Mr H Ogden BEST OF BREED : 3984 JACKSON, Mrs O K & SWASH Mrs M Ch Jokyl Simply Red AIREDALE JUDGE BOURNEMOUTH 15 Airedale Terriers Grateful the modest entry held together with 7 of the 9 entered present in an excellent wet weather ring. PD (3,2a) 1 Hill’s Crillee Catch Of The Day, 8 months, half-brother to the BP, just without her assured confidence as yet, came together better in the challenge thanks to sympathetic handling, long head of balanced proportions, touch rounded in skull as yet & loose in ear carriage, good neck & shoulder, clean front if a little loose, deep, firm backline, good quarters correctly angulated, moved true, excellent jacket, had a promising air of style about him. In the absence of any other males took BD. PB (4) 1 Fernandez & Purnell’s Jokyl Gold Star, 8 months, bred in the purple, a “goosebumps” kinda girl, different to her rivals in that she represented the phrase “fairly cobby”, yet her head was gloriously refined with delicate chiselling & a keen eye, flat skull, good ear, well matured in body, crisp jacket immaculately turned out, superb feet, balanced angulation, enviable propulsion from the rear, will be part of my learning curve to watch how she develops on now I have her in my mind’s eye,. RBB, BP, PG1; 2 Turner’s Jokyl Star Struck, 11 months, entering her teenager phase so that bit rangier all through, undeniably classy & feminine, head long & well balanced, good ear, equally well balanced through her well-constructed frame, super jacket, bit slacker on the move but perfectly sound, a quality bitch of exceptional promise; 3 Brown’s Jokyl Noble Princess for Oceanaire. JB (1) 1 Atterbury’s Stargus Black Magik, 17 months, heavy headed with a bold eye, deep bodied, balanced angulation that showed on the move, low tailset. OB (2) 1 Jackson & Swash’s Ch Jokyl Simply Red, 2½ years, very much the “real deal”, has length & shape to the head without losing strength, expressive eye, superior neck & forehand, great structure that told in the accuracy of her movement without ever losing her “form”, crisp jacket, masterful presentation, would have liked a bit more activity in her deportment which was terribly “regal” throughout. BOB; 2 S Black Magic. HOWARD OGDEN |
