AIREDALE JUDGE BORDER UNION 17

Many thanks to the committee for the invitation to judge at this lovely two day Championship show, set out traditionally, with plenty of space and this year bathed in sunshine, it made for a good atmosphere. Many thanks to all the exhibitors who took the time and expense to bring their dogs.

JD (1)

1. Moore's, Jockyl True Grit at Arngask. 16 month old, rather reluctant to have his head examined, however, when settled we got enough. Head was of good length and not to wide, good bite and eye ok. Good for bone throughout, short back, good angulation front and rear and tail well set on. Sporting a well coloured jacket. Moved well and steadily, covering the ground.

PGD (1)

1. Moore's, Nedella Sparks in the Park at Arngask shcm. 6 year old. Little heavy in head. Balanced throughout with good bone. Good depth and decent neck. Good rear angulation. Lovely jacket and colouring. Would prefer more cleaner movement, was close behind and wide in front.

OD (2)

1. Morris's, Nedella Black Opal. 3 year old male. Up to size, but put down in great condition. Sporting a crisp, colourful jacket and hard throughout with firm muscletone. Long strong head with powerful jaws. Good dentition and small dark eye, with terrier expression. Tail set ok. A little loose in movement. BD.

2. Collins, Toulsyork King Lincoln. Good for size and balance. Just found him a little heavy throughout today and did not have the muscle tone of 1. Pleasing head, decent angulation and good jacket. Moved well. RBD.

JB (2)

1. Bain's, Unique in all Ways of Malton. 11 mth, upto size bitch who still needs to fill out. Balanced head, decent neck, good depth of chest and good ribbing. Would prefer a little more rear angulation. Moved ok. BP.

2. Pugh and Shaw, Lakeaire Ooh La La. Balanced and sporting a good jacket. Needs to mature and ears to settle. Would prefer a little more rear angulation, that said, moved very well.

OB (4)

1. Vickers, Jodean Book of Dreams.3 year old that was very clean to go over. Pleasing head, with good eye, dentition and tidy well set ears. Ample bone throughout. Muscular neck of moderate length into well placed shoulders, nice length to back and tail on top. Straight in front. Good depth of brisket. Ribs well sprung, strong loin, powerful well muscled rear with good angulation, hocks well let down. Moved out well and true both ways. Full of terrier spirit, which proved to be a handful for her handler at times. BB and BOB.

2. Graham's, Nedella Showtime at Thistleaire. Tidy head, small dark eye, ears ok. Balanced, decent body and ample bone. Well angle throughout. Moved steadily. RBB.
