AIREDALE BORDER UNION 16 Judge(s): MRS S WRIGLEY Airedale Terriers JD (0). PGD (1) 1 Crillie’s Cool Running, dog of good substance throughout, masculine head, nice dark eye & length of foreface, strong jaws. Muscular neck & firm topline. Good harsh jacket, moved freely. OD (2) 1 Moore’s Nedella Sparks In The Park at Arngask, appealed with his square outline, typical head, really dark eyes, well off for bone, harsh coat of good colour, nicely proportioned throughout, strong quarters used to effect on the move which won him the class. BD; 2 Morris’ Nedella Black Opal, an eyecatching stylish dog with a lot of ring presence, appealed very much in head, neck & angulation, good coat texture, rather close behind on the move. RBD. JB (1) 1 Graham’s Nedella Showtime, lovely 11 months bitch of super proportions all through, lovely feminine head, very dark eyes full of terrier expression, nice chiselling beneath & good length of foreface. Super coat & colour, good bone, moved really well, should have a bright future. BP. PGB (3,1) 1 Shaw’s Nedella Annie Laurie, elegant bitch, feminine head, typical expression, nice reach of neck, well laid shoulders, level topline & good hindquarters, good length of stride on the move. RBB; 2 Mitchell & McColl’s Storm In A Teacup Lady Lola, a lot to like about this girl, cobby square outline, nice eye & expression, good angulation fore & aft, good set-on, just a little stilted on the move compared to 1. OB (3,1) 1 Davidson’s Russtam Stargazer, this girl very much appealed to me in all departments as a really classic Airedale, really square outline, lovely head & expression, muscular neck, firm topline, harsh jacket & good colour, well balanced angulation & moved really well. BB & BOB; 2 Morris’ Nedella Cleopatra, longer cast than 1 but I liked her head, well off for bone, fair angulation both ends, nice bone & feet, stepped out well but rather close behind. S WRIGLEY |
