AIREDALE JUDGE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 13

Airedale Terriers

I judged the Airedale & Lakeland Terriers as a last minute replacement judge. Best wishes go to Paul Wilkinson for a speedy recovery.

MPD (3)

1 Martin’s Doraemi Krakkerjax for Tobadale, 7 months raw puppy sporting a good head, dark eye, good bite & using ears well, moderate length of neck merging into level back, good shoulder placement & rear angulation. Coat not at its best but will improve with perseverance. Movement needs to settle but time is on his side.

PD (2)

1 Hacker & Jenkins’ Sherifs Red Beret, 10 months, well proportioned head, good eye, bite & using ears to great advantage, reachy neck, short level back, well set tail, good layback of shoulder & turn of stifle, gives well balanced pleasing outline, moved well for age. All things being equal should have a bright future. BP.

JD (1)

1 Toulson’s Toulsyork Fiisty Filbert, 14 months well built upstanding young man, good eye, bite & ears giving keen expression, straight front, good shoulder placement, moderate neck, nice turn of stifle. Looking a little long cast at the moment but the overall picture will improve as he matures. Good coat & condition. Put in just enough to gain the RCC.

PGD (0).

LD

1 Brown’s Oceanaire Beachcomber, well grown, strong bone & substance, well balanced square outline, in good coat & condition, sound mover. No outstanding faults. A little more animation would be to his advantage;

2 Hughes & Pearce’s Knowleleon A Sunny Smile at Alkinra, neat head, eye, bite & ears all correct, level back, good tailset & quarters, well presented in good coat. Rear action a little close;

3 Noyce’s Black Prince.

OD (2)

1 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Star Turn, good length of head, correct bite, eye & ear carriage giving keen alert expression, good reach of neck merging nicely into short level back, correct shoulder placement & rear angulation, strong quarters, well muscled up, in first class condition, steady mover. CC.

MPB (2)

1 Colldale High Flyer of Touessrok, just 6 months & very much a baby, neat head, eye & bite, sweet expression, moderate length of neck, short back, good tailset, coat coming through nicely. Movement not all together at the moment but has ample time to improve.

PB (4)

1 Hampton & Hall’s Muliebrity Oceana, well grown upstanding bitch, good front & rear assembly, strong bone, good muscletone, in excellent condition. Moving a little close behind;

2 Furnandes & Purnell’s Muliebrity Rilletta, litter sister to 1, fraction smaller all round. Slightly better head than her sister, otherwise similar in many respects. Standing appears straight in the shoulder but this is her handler’s fault. Moved OK;

3 Oates’ Stabuks Immy.

JB (2)

1 Steinke’s Temtiz African Flame Lily, balanced head giving good expression, well placed ears used to advantage, level back, good tailset, harsh jacket. Behaved herself after a dodgy start.

PGB (4)

1 Fury’s Saredon Lorelli, smart well balanced outline, good head, well placed ears used to advantage to ensure an alert expression, good front & rear angulation, very good coat & firm muscle, moved well;

2 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Starlet, neat head, moderate neck, short level back, tail on top, well laid shoulders & turn of stifle. Refused to use her ears which detracted from any expression. Excellent presentation;

3 Haly’s Vivavick Supercilious.

LB (8)

1 Johnson’s Jecadie Dipped In Spice, balanced head, good eye, bite & ear carriage, correct shoulder placement & good rear angulation, strong quarters having plenty of muscle, well presented & shown to her advantage, moved soundly;

2 Keay’s Jaymitch Gift Before Dawn, good head & expression, moderate neck, level back, good shoulder placement & rear angulation, good texture coat, pleasing outline. Moving close behind, I have seen her move better;

3 Callon & Callon-Winn’s Russtam Star Princess.

OB (5)

1 Averis’ Katerinas Land Spicy Cherry of Saredon, lovely head & expression, dark eye, correct bite & ear carriage, reachy neck merging into short level back, tail on top, good shoulder placement & rear angulation, good bone & musculature yet remains feminine, moved really well, in first class condition, well handled, presents an attractive picture. CC & BOB;

2 Jackson & Swash’s Ch Jokyl Red Ribbons, correct head, super expression, good length of neck, level topline & good tailset, front & rear angulation mirror each other which ensures sound movement. Have always admired her but she was unlucky to meet 1 in such good form. RCC;

3 Toulson’s Toulsyork Effugent.
