AIREDALE BATH 11 Judge: Mr M P Phillips AIREDALE JUDGE BATH 11 Airedale Terriers My first CC appointment. I do think breeders do need to look more at soundness as I did find a lot of poor movement in hindquarters. Temperament was good. PD (2) 1 Lee’s Stargus Raiden, 9 months, all male with attitude, lovely bone & shape, all essentials of making a good one, sound. When gets it all together will make impressive picture; 2 Turner’s Crillee Carry On Commando, 9 months, again of good quality, lovely head with correct planes, very good in shoulder, well bodied for age. Would like stronger quarters. Handled & presented well. PGD (2) 1 Hoyce’s Black Prince, good outline & size, scores on head & shoulders, good body. Would like more angulations from behind. Nice coat, steady on move; 2 Brown’s Oceanaire Beachcomber, bigger type than 1. Preferred head of 1. Good eye & ears, short strong body, strong in coupling, went OK. LD (2) 1 Morris’ Nedella A Kind Of Magic, very stylish & balanced, liked head, good eye & expression, good length of neck, deep chest, again nice body, tailset on top, nice behind, good coat texture, handled well; 2 Hacker & Jenkins’ Sherifs Midnight Rambler, again good quality & type, nice outline. Shade long in loin compared to 1. Pleasing head. Didn’t help himself on the move. OD (3) 1 Hampton & Hall’s Muliebrity Grandioso, very upstanding & impressive, all male, pleasing head & expression, good neck, clean in front, deep chest, very well bodied & short coupling, tailset correct, very strong behind used on move, nice coat & presentation. CC; 2 Jackson & Swash’s Ch Jokyl Captain Scarlet, lovely quality, lovely head & expression, front assembly very good. Would like more strength behind. In lovely coat. Just preferred more positive movement of 1. RCC; 3 Turner’s Crillee Cool As Jack. PB (3) 1 Turner’s Crillee Carry On Calypso, 9 months, very raw, has outline & shape required, pleasing head, lovely shoulders, short coupled, went well holding topline; 2 Haly’s Vivawick Supercilious, 7 months raw baby. Nice head & expression, nice eye, OK for bone for age, moved OK. Ears need to settle. JB (5) 1 Morris’ Nedella Victoriana, 15 months, liked balance, shape & size, good bone for size, nice eye & body, strong quarters, in nice trim; 2 Edington-Hall’s Wendaire Jokers Angel Kiss, nice shape & size. Bit plain in head & expression. OK shoulders, clean in front, went well. PGB (8) 1 Hacker & Jenkins’ Sherifs Winter Dawn, nice quality, good outline & balance, pleasing head & expression, good assembly, well bodied, short coupling, tail on top & went well; 2 Edwards’ Lytchdale Summer Twister, good length of head with good eye. Would like better ear carriage. OK in neck & body, good harsh jacket. Needs more strength behind. Handled OK; 3 Haly’s Vivavick’s The Royal We. LB (7) Super class, some nice bitches to go over. 1 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Time To Party, took my eye as soon as entered the ring for upstanding attitude, overall quality & outline, good length of head with correct dark eye, ears bang on top giving good expression, excellent length of neck, good deep chest & lay back of shoulders, well bodied with short coupling, strong topline, tailset on top, good angulated quarters, moved sound, do hope gets well deserved title, liked a lot.
