AIREDALE BATH 16 Judge: Mr T D Mather BEST OF BREED : 1242 TURNER Mr R & Mrs J Crillee Cool Scarlet AIREDALE JUDGE BATH 16 Airedale Terriers A most sporting group of exhibitors with some excellent dogs, what more could a judge ask for on their first appointment in a breed. PD (1) 1 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Wish List, this handsome, upstanding youngster provided a good start to my day. Good for both type & balance. Flat skull of good length, decent neck & shoulders, good forehand. Well ribbed for age & short in loin. Sound & free moving. BP. JD (2) 1 Hill’s Crillee Catch Of The Day, presented in excellent coat & condition, flat skull, strong powerful jaw, clean neck. Good body with firm topline & good tailset. Strong well muscled hindquarters gave him some drive on the move; 2 Perry’s Jaymitch Dawn's Good Guy, not quite the finish of the first but very typical & soundly made, decent head & when alert made good use of his ears. Could carry a little more weight to advantage. Moved soundly. PGD (1) 1 Burkin’s Nedella Flash Opal at Raffinato, smart & well balanced with a good body, short coupled & in good muscular condition, good skull, ears carriage could be a fraction neater. Harsh wiry jacket was presented to good advantage. LD (6) 1 Collins’ Colldale Son Of Adventurer, a shade heavy in ear but his head is a good length & he has a dark, fairly small, expressive eye & strong jaw. Clean neck of decent length & good shoulders. Mature in body with good ribs & strong short loin. Free moving with plenty of drive & shown in good coat; 2 Toulson’s Toulsyork King Lincoln, not quite the body as yet of the winner but he has a most pleasing head & expression, good forehand with decent depth of chest. Good topline & tailset. Moved soundly with some drive from the rear; 3 Morris’ Nedella Black Opal. OD (7,1a) 1 CC, Averis & Barker’s Int Ch Saredon From A Jack To A King, strong & masculine with a head of good length, neat well set ears. Excellent neck & shoulders with good bone & deep well padded feet. Short back & good ribs with good topline & tailset. Good drive from the rear. Shown in excellent jacket. Pleased to give him the CC which I gather was his third; 2 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Truly Noble, strong masculine head with powerful jaws & good big teeth. Deep chest, short coupled & well ribbed. Good textured jacket. Score here with his powerful hind action; 3 Pisani, Steinbach & Bouma’s Int Ch It Expression Factor-x Of Malton. PB (0). JB (7,1) 1 Edwards’ Saredon Simply Susan At Smock Alley, a good headed bitch, neat ears, keen expression, clean neck & shoulders, well ribbed for age. Accurate & free moving with plenty of drive from the rear; 2 Simpson-Jones’ Nedella Amasing Grace, typy & well balanced & shown in a good harsh jacket. Well ribbed with good topline & tailset. Had a tendency to pace on the move but once corrected went well & presents a pleasing overall picture; 3 Howells’ Jaymitch Under The Stars. PGB (4) 1 Jackson & Swash’s Jokyl Her Ladyship, pleasing head, good carriage, short firm topline & high set well carried tail. Strong well muscled hindquarters. Moved & shows to good advantage; 2 Turner’s Jokyl Star Struck, lovely head & keen expression with neat well carried ears. Well ribbed but not quite as firm in topline as the winner. Good strong hindquarters; 3 Haly’s Vivavick Tittletattle. LB (7) 1 Toulson’s Toulsyork Ha Ha Hope, right out of the top drawer & she knows it! Long clean head, fairly small dark eye & keen expression. Presents a lovely outline as she is well balanced & so typical. Strong nicely arched neck, good topline & tailset. Harsh well prepared jacket. Sound & free moving; 2 Morris’ Nedella Cleopatra, excellent head & expression, good forehand, well ribbed but perhaps not quite as short-coupled as the winner. Good jacket. Impressive on the move as she used her well muscled hindquarters to advantage; 3 Brown’s Jokyl Noble Princess for Oceanaire.
