NORWICH WELSH KENNEL CLUB 09 Judge: Mrs R Spore-Willis NORWICH JUDGE WELSH KC 09 Norwich Terriers MPD (2,1a) 1 Birch’s Barwest Barnaby Bill at Kibkiln, nice topline, but a bit straight in shoulder & upper arm. Nice head & expression, moves well behind, good coat. PD (3,1) 1 Higgit’s Redash Clock This, very good topline & neck, nice head, excellent expression, moved well & in good coat; 2 James’ Bakewood Twenty Four Carat, nice body, although hindquarters could be stronger. Good head & muzzle, but ears too low set. Good coat. JD (4,2) 1 Stevenson’s Brickin Top Of The Morning, excellent topline & tail, firm body, good bone, excellent muscle condition, lovely head & expression, moved very well, very strong contender in the challenge, but did not put all in the whole time. RCC; 2 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Creme Brulee, very nice type, excellent movement, nice head. Not in the same coat & condition as 1. PGD (2) 1 Southwell’s Berty Way of Delosinga, short back, good body & front, but a bit short in neck. Lovely head, good coat. Moved well in front, but lacked drive behind; 2 Lawson’s Softpaws Red Robin, too long in loin, good head, but a bit thin in muzzle. Nice expression, good front & coat, although hindquarters need to be stronger. LD (3) 1 Crawley’s Ragus Sweet Talking Guy, excellent topline, a great mover, nice head & expression, OK coat; 2 Needham & Mines’ Foxwood Lucky Edition of Redfern, unfortunately in very thin condition & reluctant to move. Very good bone, lovely head. Good front, but would like stronger hindquarters. Grizzle with OK coat; 3 Lawson’s Softpaws Red Robin. OD (3) 1 Crawley & Crosbies’s Am Ch Dunbar’s Kensington Square, stocky, short coupled dog, very nice head. To be critical would like a bit more neck, but he performed the whole time & was in perfect condition. CC; 2 Needham’s Ch Titanium Columbus, excellent size & bone, very nice head & expression. Too short in ribcage. Good side movement. Coat not flat laying; 3 Kirkpatrick’s Tynallt Trouble Shooter. MPB (6,1) 1 Corkhill’s Redash Cherry Plum, lovely type, nice head, sweet expression, excellent front & rear. Moves well when not allowed to sniff the floor; 2 Corkhill’s Redash Cherry Ripe, nice similar type to 1, not the same good bone. Nice head, very good neck, moves well; 3 Southwell’s Ragus Beautiful Morning over Delosinga. PB (5) 1 Corkhill’s Redash Crystal Clock, lovely type, sound with excellent neck & hindquarters, very good tail & coat, nice head & expression, moves very well. BP; 2 Corkhill’s Redash Clementine, nice type, very good neck & hindquarters. A bit small in head & up on the legs. Good coat, moves well; 3 Brown’s Dorinor Holy Quest. JB (7,1) 1 Crawley & Nagrecha’s Ragus Bubbling Hot, excellent type, so well balanced & sound, excellent front & rear, moves with easy stride & great power of propulsion from rear, lovely expression, excellent condition, shortlisted in the G2. CC & BOB; 2 Brown’s Queslade All That Glitters, excellent body & tail, very nice head, but should be darker in eye. Moves well, seen from side, OK coat; 3 Watkin’s Baktwins Sunrise. PGB (1) 1 Lazenby’s Ragus Diamonds Only, nice with good topline, nice head & expression, excellent front, moved well, OK coat. LB (3) 1 Crawley & Jones’ Ragus Forever Amber, very nice type, cobby body, nice head & expression, moved well, perfect coat; 2 Crawley’s Ragus Forever Yours, excellent outline & movement, well made body, good head, but eye shape & eye colour could be better. Not in full coat yet; 3 Needham’s Titanium Paint Your Wagon. OB (2) 1 Crawley’s Ragus Very True, lovely type, excellent body, moves very well, nice head & expression, good coat. RCC; 2 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Coconut Cream, very nice outline, moves well, good head. Not as strong as 1 & would like her with slightly harder muscletone.
