WELKS 23 Judge

NORWICH WELKS 23 Judge: Mr Howard Ogden Being a Category 2 breed, I can record there were no respiratory issues. 1 Crawley’s Mr Holmes Investigates Ragus; cracking youngster of just 12m; correct head proportions with broad skull, defined stop & strong muzzle; ex eye & ear to give a keen expression; gd neck & forehand; short, level, back; gd in rib into a short, thick loin; gd bone & feet; youthfully tight tail carriage; broad & muscled through his rear; truly hard coated with ruff; put down in immaculate order, notwithstanding what turned out to be his owner’s absence, and apparently unconcerned taking the entire experience in his stride as he moved parallel, pushing off a firm, short hock; his title should be a formality & fully expect to see him winning beyond breed competition; BD & BOB 1 Crawley’s Kaju Shot In The Dark; 2.5yrs; choc full of breed type, ticking so many breed specific boxes, save for being totally devoid of topcoat, albeit that only emphasised his short, sturdy body & his ex conformation; expressive face within his broad skull & wedge-shaped muzzle; excelled in bone & feet; absolutely sound so as to see straight through his parallel action. RBD 1 Inett & Harrison’s Ragus Blowing Kisses to Carradine; 19m & looks to have the strength & structure to breed on, being so well built with gd substance & bone; low set; short & level with some breadth; firm at pastern & at hock; well sprung rib into short, strong loin; gd width between ears; defined stop; strongly muzzled; desired 2:3 head ratio; put down in a close-lying double coat that enhanced her outline; so sound moving with an ex tail carriage.
