1 Crawley’s Ragus Scouts Honour, this precocious 8 month old ticked all the boxes for me & even though he needs more time, the type & frame are there, topped off with attitude in abundance! He presents the most beautiful outline with the best of necks, short level back, ribcage extending well back & excellent coupling. Loved his head & expression with correct skull to muzzle proportions, dark oval shaped eyes, ears set well apart, strong wedge shaped muzzle & correct dentition. He is well made all through, standing nice & straight in front with elbows close to the body & nice turn of stifle. Moving true both fore & aft, extending well in front & nice strong rear action. Using himself fully at all times. RBD & BP;

2 Stevenson’s Brickin Moonmaker, this 13 month old was another who appealed for type but didn’t quite have the head or expression of the winner. Having said that, his head proportions are correct & he pleased for eye & ear. He is nice & compact with good length of neck, firm level topline, well sprung ribs & nice short loin. Carrying good bone & substance. Hard, wiry jacket & presented in good order. He moved soundly all through but front extension could not match that of winner;

3 Batey’s Javidel Walk Hand In Hand.

1 Jones’ Ragus Enough Said, this 9 month old is another quality exhibit. Compact youngster who is well off for bone & substance & I thought him a lovely type. Nicely proportioned head with good width of skull between his correctly set ears, wedge shaped muzzle, oval shaped eyes of good colour & correct scissor bite. Strong neck of good length, well laid shoulders, nice straight forelegs & good feet. Ribs extending well back with good spring, short loin & tailset on high. Excellent coat. When he got going he moved out well with nice self carriage, driving well from the rear;

2 Lazenby & Crawley’s Tinkave I’m The Man, 10 month old & another who pleased. Again a good type with nice eye & ear but the winner had the edge in expression for me. He presented a compact outline with muscular neck of good length, short level back, nice spring of rib & short muscular loin. He is well off for bone & substance. Moving well enough both coming & going but doesn’t quite have the front extension of the winner. Good quality coat & excellent presentation. Tail is set on well but carried rather tighter than I would prefer.

OD (4,1a)

1 Crawley & Baldwin’s Ch Ragus Jump The Gun, this 22 month old won this class with ease & is quite the standout. I thought him the complete package, compact in outline, of excellent size, carrying good bone & substance & a first class head & expression. He is so well made both front & rear, with well laid shoulders, elbows held close to the body, standing nice & straight in front on excellent feet & with muscular hindquarters which are correctly angulated. Super headed boy with good width of skull, correct skull to muzzle proportions, keen expressive eyes, ears set on correctly, strong muzzle & correct dentition with good size teeth. Strong, muscular neck of good length, firm level topline, excellent ribbing, short loin & tailset on nice & high. Used himself to the max both standing & on the move, true on the down & back & covering the ground when viewed in profile. Quality coat & presentation. BD & BOB;

2 Hayes’ Ragus Fabulous Clown, approaching 3 years, this boy was not in full coat which detracted a little but even so he deserved his placing here. Neck of good length, level topline but could be more compact in outline, ribs extend well back, muscular loin & tailset on well. Nicely proportioned head with good width between the ears, well defined stop, dark eye but a little larger, strong muzzle & correct scissor bite. He stands well in front on good feet & is nicely angulated behind. Moving well in enough in profile just a tad wider coming towards. Excellent temperament & very well schooled;

3 McLaughlin’s Barwest Blaze Of Glory.

1 Batey’s Ragus Burning Question, this 9 month old was the clear winner in this class for me & what a super puppy she is! She excels for type & balance & was so good to go over. She has the most delightful head & expression with correct skull to muzzle proportions, nice width between her well set ears, dark oval shaped eyes, strong muzzle, correct dentition & excellent furnishings. Good length of neck, short level back, well ribbed back & rib developing well for age, short muscular loin & tailset on high. She stands so well naturally & has particularly good side gait & self carriage, strong rear action, a tad wide coming at you but nothing untoward. A quality girl who should have a very bright future. RBB;

2 Stevenson’s Brickin Definitely Could Be, 13 months b/t who was not making her handler’s life an easy one! She is a good type of bitch, scoring for size & outline & feminine throughout. Pleasing head & expression with dark expressive eyes of good size & shape, ears set on well & nice & wide apart, strong muzzle & correct dentition. Muscular neck of good length, level topline, short couplings & tailset on well. Nice spring of rib & carrying good bone. She stands well in front but is also a fraction wider on the move & she could use herself more to advantage. Nice firm rear action. Nice hard, wiry coat & good presentation;

3 Page’s Nora Elysian.

1 Crawley’s Ragus Silk Gloves, this 11 months youngster is yet another great prospect but making her handler work hard on the day! She appealed for size, femininity & soundness. I thought her head & expression quite delightful, good skull to muzzle proportions, well defined stop, first class eye & ear, strong muzzle & good furnishings which enhance the expression. Strong neck of adequate length, short level back, excellent ribbing, muscular loin & tailset on nice & high. Well laid shoulder, elbows close to the body, nice straight forelegs, good feet & nicely angulated rear. Moving true & with purpose. Good quality jacket.

OB (1)

1 Tate’s Ch Jaeva Maid Of Honour, 2 year old b/t. Feminine girl who I thought was a standout for size & balance & carries good bone & substance. Attractive head & expression with nice width between the ears, well defined stop, good skull to muzzle proportions, dark oval-shaped eyes & first class dentition. Muscular neck of good length, nice short back, good spring of rib, short loin & tailset on well. She is well constructed all through with good layback of shoulder, elbows held close to the body & muscular hindquarters with good turn of stifle. She really knows how to move & I was particularly impressed with her side gait & carriage, using herself fully at all times as she powered around the ring. Excellent coat & presentation. BB.
