NORWICH JUDGE WELKS 11

Norwich Terriers

JD (3)

1 Baldwin’s Ragus Devil’s Due, very mature for age, solid dog oozes quality, so well made, & the best of backends. Strong bodied & showing so well, masculine head, but lost to best dog on head proportions, for me he is a touch short & blunt in muzzle, has great presence & the best mover. RBD;

2 Wilson’s Sheltrice Regal Star, very raw & needs to mature in body & fill out, he is only 6 months & has plenty of time on his side.

PGD (2)

1 Crawley’s Ragus Only This Once, 7 months of very good type, short backed & has a good head for his age, better in front than behind at the moment, needs to drop in his quarters behind;

2 Higgitt’s Redash Clock This, sympathetically handled, is a touch leggy for me & expression would be enhanced if pigment around the eye was better, coat could be better.

OD (3)

1 Crawley’s Ragus Devine Devil, superb for type, the best of heads, tremendous bone, & excellent size, head is wonderful & full of detail, best of fronts, in a shorter jacket today but looked incredible, could be slightly better in the rear but moved with attitude & purpose, stole my heart. BOB;

2 Norrey’s Fleurnor Red Hot Poker, totally different for type, so sound coming & going, but lacked body & substance compared to 1, very showy & lovely to go over;

3 Lawson’s Softpaws Red Robin at Irvelm.

JB (4)

1 Corkhill’s Jillymack Madam Butterfly, quality puppy & well up for size, strong bodied & good on the move going & on the round, perhaps a touch wide in front, quality bitch & should reach the milestones of maturity. BP & RBB;

2 Stevenson’s Brickin Tickled Pink, better for size & of good type, head OK but needs touch more stop, reluctant on the move & dropped her tail, good to go over & throws a good outline when stood;

3 Lawson’s Irvelm Minnie The Moocher.

PGB (3)

1 Hitchen’s Ragus Hidden Amber, general type is good but head could have more strength & underjaw, perhaps a touch wide in front, OK behind, decent type;

2 Smith & Crawley’s Ragus Cool Jazz, OK outline, head could be stronger, very good side gait.

OB (4)

1 Crawley & Baldwin’s Ragus Mayfair, b/t of good size, lovely for shape & presentation, very good behind, marginally wide in front, very good side gait, head of general good type. BB;

2 Norrey’s Fleurnor Caillan Blaa, superb for side gait, head is of different type, very good movement all around. Needs more furnishings & finishing;

3 Lazenby’s Ragus Dimonds Only.
