NORWICH JUDGE RICHMOND 25

Firstly, I would like to thank all the exhibitors who entered under me. The dogs were a pleasure to judge. Thanks also to my stewards Deborah and Susan. There was a variation in size and type, but this seems to be the norm in most terrier breeds now. However, there was much quality on show, and I am pleased to see that the numbers are rising. The rough ground did not help some exhibits who tried to jump the furrows!

Vet (2)

1 Sea Sky (Crozier) Masculine B/T of pleasing type and looking good for his 10 years. Well off for bone and substance. Masculine well proportioned head with good expression and strength in muzzle. Strong body but could be slightly closer coupled. Lovely harsh coat texture. Moved slowly but well. BV

2 Mishma Of Brook Hall (Crozier) Litter brother to 1st and has many of his attributes. Not quite the substance of 1st and was a little more hesitant on the move and did not enjoy the ground but a very typical boy.

JD (1)

1 Brancova’s Isle Of Harris (Webster) 16 month old red. Of good type but looking a typical junior and needing to come together. Masculine, correctly proportioned head. Neat ears when used. Good front. Has depth of body and a level topline. Would just like a tad more bone. Tail on top. Showed well and kept topline on the move.

OD (4,1)

Quality class

1 Ch Tinkave Vibe Setter At Belleville (Thomson Morgan and Lazenby) Easy to see why this dog has been in the spotlight. So beautifully balanced and full of breed qualities. Liked him for size. Pleasing head and expression. Short and deep. Super angulation both ends, and this shows in his easy movement. His movement in profile is textbook. In lovely coat. He still had a bit more maturing to do but that does not detract from his overall soundness. BD & BOB. Delighted to see him a win a well deserved TG1

2 Winflash Feather Furever (Harrison, Inett and Page) Another quality dog with much to like. A size bigger than 1st . Typical head and expression with good proportions. Strong jaw. Very solid in bone and substance. Has depth and width of body. Level topline and well placed tail. Perfect hard coat texture. Sound mover but not quite the reach and drive of 1st RBD

3 Ragus Oh Boy (Martin)

PB (3)

Another quality class and example of dog on the day.

1 Brancova Amber Rose (Webster) Delightful 7 months old bitch who never put a foot wrong today. Lovely for type. Feminine head. Neat ears. Well balanced and short coupled with tail on top. Level topline. Just need to mature and keep her shape. Well schooled to show off her assets and she moved with purpose. BB & BPIB. Delighted to see she got TPG4. Congratulations!

2 Ragus Sunburst For Brupurhat (Brackner) Another pretty bitch of 7 months .Similar type to 1st. Similar remarks apply but just needs to gain confidence

3 Jaeva Joy Ride (Tate & Dragon)

JB (3,1)

1 Ragus Sunday Girl For Brupurhat (Brackner) Another promising bitch of 13 months. Has all the breed essentials. Feminine head with pleasing eye and expression. Low and compact. Level topline and carries her tail well. Sound mover and showed with confidence. RBB

2 A Summer Symphony Played (Crozier) Pretty bitch but much rangier and taller than 1st. Feminine head and good expression. Harsh coat. I understand that the handler had only just got her, and she was getting used to the show scene. She was certainly proving a challenge. Needs to come together in body and confidence

.PGB (3,1)

1 Ragus Pearl Maiden (Samson, Samson, Crawley) Smart young bitch and very typical. Liked her for size and compactness. Good front, neck and shoulders. Level topline held on move. Tail on top. In good coat. Steady mover.

2 Baktwins Only Believe (Watkins) Wheaten bitch of good type. Lovely head and expression and good bite. Body low and deep.Carrying a few extra pound which affects her outline and movement. She has a superb quality coat. Not the angulations of 1st which showed on the move but she is a confident show girl and put in a steady performance.

SBD/B

1 Brancova’s Mr Mcthistle (Webster) 16 month old dog of good breed type. Masculine head. Good in neck and shoulders and has a harsh coat,. Needs to develop in body and moving a little close in rear. He has time and showed to advantage.

2 A Summer Symphony Played
