NORWICH RICHMOND 19 Judge: Mr Barry Day (Risepark) BEST OF BREED : 1948 CRAWLEY Mrs L A Ragus Beyond Question NORWICH JUDGE RICHMOND 19 SBD (1) 1 Hayes’ Ragus Fabulous Clown ShCM. A very sound moving, typey red d, making a balanced outline. Good head and eye, nicely ribbed body of good depth, good level topline but I would have preferred a higher tail set. Ok for rear angulation and coat texture, I liked him enough to keep him in the mix when deciding on the RCC. Best Sp Beginners. 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Total Eclipse. A sound moving, typey baby, making a good compact outline. Acceptable head and expression. Lovely flow of neck into a good level topline with a high set tail. Presented in a good jacket, and with good rear angulation, he moved freely. 2 Page’s Contilly Ask No Questions Between Winflash. Another with a lovely flow of neck into a good topline. Ok for head and expression and good for body and bone, although not as short in loin as 1 and with a nicely angulated rear. Well presented in a good jacket, she moved very well behind but not so good coming towards me. 3 Crawley’s Ragus My Best Shot. 1 Crawley’s Ragus Beyond Question. A beautifully balanced d making a lovely typey, compact outline. Nicely proportioned head with good strength but no hint of coarseness and a good dark oval eye and good width between the ears. Lovely deep, well ribbed body with good bone. Super flow of neck into well laid shoulders. Good, firm topline that leads to a high set on and correct tail carriage. Superbly presented in a good harsh jacket and with well developed quarters, he moved well and looked a picture on the move in profile. Am I suggesting that he is the perfect specimen? Not quite, but I felt he was the best here today. CC, BOB & BP. 1 Crawley & Baldwin’s Ragus Time Of My Life. A compact, typey d with a good head and a super expression. Pleasing neckline, topline and angulation. Presented in a good jacket, he moved well coming towards me but not quite so good going away. If he had carried hi tail a little higher, he would have made a superb outline on the move. 1 Lazenby’s Tinkave I’m The Man. A quality red d, making a good compact outline. A nicely proportioned head with a good dark eye and decent width between the ears. Good, well ribbed body and pleasing bone. Good strong neck that flowed into a firm topline. A good strong rear with decent angulation. Presented in a good jacket, he moved well. RCC. 2 Tate’s Ch Jaeva Pay The Piper. A typey b/t, making a lovely compact outline but not quite the coupling of first. I liked his head but would have preferred a slightly darker eye. Good for body and bone with a pleasing neckline and topline. Nicely presented and well handled but not moving as well as first today. 1 Hayes’ Ragus Seven Jumps. Good for type, with a pleasing head, good eye and decent width between the ears. She please for body, bone, topline and angulation. In good coat, she moved well behind and ok in front. Looked her best on the move in profile. PB (5, 2) 1 Watkins’ Trutillian Perfect Life. A pretty headed baby with a lovely expression, who made a typey outline and gave her all today. Pleasing body and bone with a good level topline and high tail set. With nicely developed quarters and well let down hocks, she moved particularly well behind and looked a picture on the move in profile when she was in harmony with her handler. 2 Graves’ Ragus Love Letter To Pipsacre. Another compact baby that made a typey outline. Feminie head, with a pleasing expression. Good topline and is another with well developed quarters and well let down hocks. In good coat but not moving or showing quite as well as first. 3 Page’s Ragus Easter Bonnet. 1 Davies & Tinsley’s Morzi Hello Dolly. A typey red b with a pretty head and pleasing expression. Good for neck and topline. In a good jacket, she moved ok. 1 Watkins’ Alantro Step To It. What do I say about this one? Well, I guess it can be summarised by just saying there is a lot to like about her but all, bar her head and lovely expression, is spoilt by carrying too much weight. 1 Hayes’ Ragus Seven Jumps. 2 Martin’s Tinkave Brown Eyed Girl At Kirmir. A pretty headed b with a pleasing expression that is slightly longer caste than first. Good for body, topline, quarters and coat. Not quite the angulation of movement of first. 1 Stevenson’s Ch Brickin Chase A Rainbow. A beautifully balanced b, making a lovely compact outline. Good, well proportioned and very feminine head with a good dark eye. Good, well ribbed body, with pleasing bone. Lovely flow of neck into a level topline. Good strong rear, with well let down hocks and good cat like feet. Presented in a jacket that was good for both colour and texture, she moved well. CC. 2 Batey’s Ragus Burning Question ShCM. A pretty headed b with a good eye and well ribbed body but not quite the topline of first. Another with a good strong rear and decent angulation. In a lovely jacket for both colour and texture. Sound moving but not quite as settled on the move as first in the class but was much better in the challenge. RCC.
