NORWICH JUDGE RICHMOND 12

Norwich Terriers

PD (2)

1 Stevenson’s Ragus Now And Forever, 10 months, smart chap with great personality, strong jaw goes scope for big white well placed teeth, typical head with well placed ear, neck flowing through short firm back, well ribbed, cheeky, active with true gait. BP.

JD & PGD (0).

LD (1)

1 Corkhill’s Redash Going For Gold, young fellow who has dark sparky expressive eye, good use of ear, which is set right, pleasing outline, cobby with developed ribs to short muscular loin, tailset on well with width of rump, harsh coat. Performed to advantage to win RCC.

OD (1)

1 Crawley & Oddie’s Ch Ragus Merry Gentleman, obviously heard of this chap but not had the chance to judge him before. As expected he excels in all departments, loved his head, masculine, not overdone, fab outlook, fit & hard with plenty after his good set on of tail. This handler always turns out quality dogs, immaculately presented. Having said all this it is his movement & particularly the forward reach, which is what really sets him apart. He delighted me, so CC & BOB, & even better that he went all the way under such respected terrier judges.

PB (2)

1 Watkins’ Ragus Morning Chime, charming 9½ months rather left her coat at home, but what she had was decent texture, pretty head & eye. Needs to grow on a touch, but obviously has time. Ribs have spring, topline is firm, & she went on nicely.

JB (4)

1 Phillips’ Ragus Madly In Love, a touch more mature in body, which was the deciding factor here, loved her head, correct forehand that makes for reach of neck & flow, presented in super body & coat & performed to advantage to take RCC;

2 Phillips, Gullick & Tate’s Jaeva Riot, very much a baby but oozes quality, just so sound & typical in all parts, has bone, strength in jaw & excellent coat, super bum & muscular definition, won’t be long until she is pushing for her title;

3 Crawley’s Ragus On My Honour.

PGB (3)

1 Martin’s Kirmir Little Mischief, 2 years, pretty headed bitch with dark expressive eye, short with decent rib & loin, rather out of coat, went OK behind.

LB (3)

1 Stevenson’s Ragus Coming Up Next at Brickin, young lady who doesn’t always hold herself together, however you can catch glimpses of the picture of when she gets her act together, which is just fine. It is all before her as her action produces positive foot fall & please side action;

2 Watkins’ Baktwins Dream Summer, typy, but rather heavy over her shoulders which makes her wide coming, on the move & rather spoils the outline. She certainly appeals for type, bone & size, so if took in a little less & gained her figure, could be up there.

OB (1)

1 Smith & Hurrion’s Ragus Takes The Biscuit, class act, what a stunning bitch, never put a foot wrong is in super order, sound, stylish, working with handler to advantage. Just so satisfying to lay hands on & a joy to see move. Had no hesitation in awarding her the CC & not surprised to note she is a champion. Would have been more than happy to send her through to the big ring, but not today, when the boy was on such form.
