KC Breed Standard NTC Ch 15 Judge	NORWICH TERRIER CLUB CH. SHOW 22ND NOVEMBER, 2015 I would like to thank the Norwich Terrier Club for allowing me to judge their Championship Show. The atmosphere was very friendly and my two stewards created a relaxed atmosphere and enabled the Show to run smoothly, one of them occasionally putting on a 'side show' to maintain the cosy, friendly and homely ambience. Showing dogs is a hobby for most exhibitors and as such it should be enjoyable for both handler and dog but unfortunately many of the dogs did not seem to be enjoying themselves, in fact, they looked frightened and didn't use their ears. When showing your dog it is important to keep it interested, communicate with it regularly. PD (3,0) 1st Thompson-Morgans, Belleville Just for Effect, strong head with correct ear placement and dark eyes, scissor bite, elbows close to body, good lay back of shoulders, level back, well muscled and moved well. BP. 2nd Croziers, Misma of Brook Hall, good ear placement, dark eyes scissor bite, good shoulder placement, level back, moved well. 3rd Fishers, Fizzella Hi Force, a well put together dog that needs time to mature. JD (2,0) 1st Fosters, Fizzella Hi Force, 2nd Hayes, Ragus Fabulous Clown, strong head, good ear placement, dark eye, scissor bite, good shoulder placement, moved O.K. ND ((2,0) 1st Jordans, Brickin Double Trouble, strong head, with well-defined stop, correct ear placement, small dark eyes, scissor bite, level topline, moved O.K. 2nd Fishers, Fizzella Hi Force. PGD (2,1) 1st Hayes, Ragus Fabulous Clown. LD (3,0) 1st Stevensons, Brickin Hot Of The Press, good strong head with ears set well apart, dark eyes, scissor bite, elbows close to body, good lay back of shoulder, level back, moved with drive and made good use of his ears. RDCC. 2nd Graves, Ragus Morning Herald, strong head good width between ears, dark eyes, scissor bite, level topline, moved O.K. 3rd Crawley & BaldwinsRagus Lady's Man, head strong, ear placement good but not used to effect, dark eyes, correct bite, good shoulder placement, level back, moved O.K. OD 1st Crawleys, Ch. Ragus Hand in Glove, lovely Black & Tan dog with all the correct attributes that make up a champion, strong head, ears erect and set well apart on top of skull and used to great effect to show his quality, eyes dark and full of expression, big teeth forming scissor bite,elbows close to body, good lay back of shoulder, level topline, muscular hindquarters, moved with drive. DCC and BIS. 2nd Oddie & Lapings, Ch. Ragus Pistols At Dawn, good head, dark eyes, scissor bite, well laid shoulders, level back, moved well, would have liked better use of ears. 3rd Stevensons, Brickin Early Morning, another well constructed Norwich but today rear movement let him down. SBD ((6,1) 1st Jordans, Bricken Double Trouble. 2nd Fishers, Fizzella Hi Force. 3rd Hayes Ragus Morning Herald. VD (2,0) 1st Lawsons, Softpaws Red Robin at Irvelm, strong head, good ear placement, dark eyes, level back, moved well. 2nd Bishops, Bardash Diamond Smugler, would have liked a stronger head and movement coould have been better. MPB (4,0) 1st Dents, Fizzella Helins Angel, black & tan, 8month old puppy with a lot of potential, lively and enjoying her day – the attitude I like to see in a Norwich – good ear placement, dark eyes, scissor bite, well laid shoulders, level back, moved confidently. BBP. 2nd Boers, Redash Dolly Daydream at Billboer, another lovely 8 month old puppy that could change places with first on another day, just preferred movement of first today. 3rd Crawleys, Ragus Walk of Life, 6 month old puppy, strong head, correct ear placement, dark eyes, scissor bite, level back, needs to be careful with weight. PB (2,0) 1st Flannery & Bennetts, Lady Lyra at Jacquill, good head, ears well placed, dark eyes, scissor bite, level back, moved well. 2nd Browns, Dancing Diva, similar comments as for first but not as settled on the move. JB (5,0) 1st Tates, Jaeva Maid of Honour, black & tan, highly spirited – what I like to see in a Norwich, a champion in the making, wide skull hence good width between ears that were used to provide an impressive picture, dark bright eyes giving the head a keen expression, scissor bite, elbows close to body, good lay back of shoulders, level topline, muscular hind quarters, moved with drive, thoroughly enjoying her day, and behaving when she had to. BCC, BOSex, RBIS pushed hard for BIS. 2nd Stevensons, Brickin Show Piece, strong head, good ear placement, dark eyes, scissor bite, correct shoulder placement, level back, moved well but today was up against a bitch who was on form. 3rd Martins, Tinkave Brown Eyed Girl at Kirmir, again another bitch that meets the standard but was in a very strong class. NB (6,0) 1st Boers, Redash Dolly Daydream at Billboer. 2nd Flannery & Bennetts, Lady Lyra at Jacquill. 3rd Dents, Ragus Just Joking at Fizzella, compact bitch with correct ear placement, dark eyes, scissor bite, level back, moved well. PGB (5,0) 1st Haynes, Alantro First Steps, strong head with correct ear placement, dark eyes, correct bite, well laid shoulders, level back, moved well. 2nd Flannery & Bennetts, Amicaro Hi Kicks at Jacquill, black & Tan, good head with ears well placed and eyes dark, scissor bite, good shoulder placement, level back, good tail carriage, moved well. 3rd Dents, Fizzella Go With The Flo, good head shape, well placed ears, small dark eyes, scissor bite, shoulders well placed, moved O.K. LB (4,1) 1st Corkhills, Redash The Merry Widow, good strong head with wide skull and well placed ears,small dark eyes, scissor bite, well laid shoulders, level back, moved well. 2nd Baldwins, Ragus My Fair Lady, head of correct proportions, ears well placed, eyes dark, correct bite, well placed shoulders, level back, good tail carriage, moved well, 3rd Martins, Kirmir Little Mischief, good head, ears well placed, eyes dark, scissor bite but would have liked teeth a little bigger, well laid shoulders level back, moved O.K. OB (4,0) 1st Crawleys, Ragus Now You're Talking, Black & Tan, another very good dog from this kennel, very strong head, wide skull allowing erect ears to be well placed, small dark eyes giving alert expression, scissor bite, well laid shoulders, level back, muscular hind quarters which proved the drive when on the moved. RBCC. 2nd Armstrong & Lawrances, Elantiz Primrose, Petal, strong head, good ear placement, dark eyes, correct bite, good shoulder placement, level back, moved well. 3rd. Hitchens, Ch. Kreatin Hidden Extra, good head ears correctly placed eyes dark and small, scissor bite, well laid shoulders, level back, moved O.K. I would like to thank the Norwich Terrier Club for allowing me to judge their Championship Show. The atmosphere was very friendly and my two stewards created a relaxed atmosphere and enabled the Show to run smoothly, one of them occasionally putting on a 'side show' to maintain the cosy, friendly and homely ambience.
