NORWICH NATIONAL TERRIER 25 Judge: Mrs C Thompson-Morgan NORWICH JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 25 I really enjoyed judging the breed today. There were a lot of quality exhibits and some close decisions. I was particularly pleased with my bitch line up and could happily have given a CC to any one of them. This bodes very well for the breed. Well done all of you. SBD/B (2,1) 1 Perlich, Ragus That’s My Story, 8 month old Puppy, well boned, head well developed for age, well set ears. Body should come with maturity. Good tail carriage, well presented. Showed well. VD/B (1) 1 Ostermann, Ch Ch Ch Kivamynk Thyme To Be Hot (Imp) Aus (Imp), 13 year old, amazing for his age! Good bone strong skull, correct size and carriage of ears. Liked his spring and length of rib. Moved well, enjoying his day. MPD (4) 1 Haynes, Alantro Solid Step, 2 beautiful puppies. 1 just had the edge on shortness of back and being a bit more controlled on the move. Strong head, neat well placed ears. Lovely correct eye, dark eye rim making the eye look larger than it is, beautifully presented. Just needs to develop a bit more spring of rib. Moved well both ways. 2 Graves, Pipsacre Wasn’t Me, Unlucky to meet 1, just a bit longer cast and tail not so strait. Scores on spring of rib and bone over 1. Another lovely strong head, dark eye, fabulous expression, correct ears. Loved both of them. 3 Perlich, Ragus That’s My Story PD (2) 1 Webster, Brancova’s Isle Of Harris, 2 very similar puppies, preferred overall balance and tail set of 1. A little rangy, hopefully will body up with age. Good length of neck, nice head. Balanced on the move. Showed well. 2 Inett & Harrison, Carradine Castaway, just a little longer cast than 1, also a little rangy, needing to body up although has a bit more spring of rib than 1. Scored in hind quarters over 1 and slightly preferred his head and expression. Showed well. Dark eye, correct ears. JD (1) 1 Russell, Casahasabi Lick Of Paint, Another quality exhibit, short and cobby, well carried tail. Strong head with correctly placed ears and dark eye. Good harsh coat, well presented. Balanced on the move and showed well. PGD (2) 1 Ostermann, Ragus Pearl Fisher, Quite a difficult decision between 1 and 2. Good coat texture, not the spring of rib of 2 but good tail carriage, strong well proportioned head, lovely eye and ear. Adequate angulation. 2 Armstrong & Egginton, Ragus Blue Steel, Amazing bone for his size but not coarse, Just lacked angulation front and rear. Good spring of rib. Would prefer stronger muzzle. LD (1) 1 Gretton & Bell, Elantiz Verde, A fabulous dog, one I have judged and loved before. A treat to go over. One of the soundest movers today. Fabulous head and expression, good length of neck and upper arm, short back, so well balanced and angulated. Cobby, low to ground, good bone. DCC & BOB OD (2) 1 Harrison & Inett, & Page, Winflash Feather Furever, Not quite as sound on the move as 2 but loved his head and expression, Short back, reasonable spring of rib, great bone, low to ground, shown in good coat. Prefer more angulation both ends. RCC 2 Morris, & Reid, Brickin Blame The Game, lost out on head and expression to 1 but scored in movement, a little longer in back than 1, prefer more length of neck, well set ears. Shown in good coat. MPB (5) What a lovely class! All 5 were lovely quality puppies. 1 Tate & Dragon, Jaeva Joy Ride, just had the edge on showmanship, coat texture and body tone, short backed, cobby, low to ground, lovely neat short hocks. Good spring of rib. Fabulous head for age, beautifully balanced. Moved out well. 2 Horsewood, Sunny Summer Holiday By Trrutillian, Another with a lovely head for her age and beautifully balanced. Also short and cobby, just needs to settle on the move. 3 Armstrong, & Lawrance, Elantiz Butter Would’t Melt PB (2) 1 Brackner, Ragus Sunday Girl For Brupurhat, A little cracker! A very typy, pretty feminine bitch, very well balanced, beautiful eye. Short backed, good length of neck, well carried tail. Not quite the bone of 2, well presented. RCC & BP 2 Armstrong & Egginton, Elantiz The Seasons Diamond, Another lovely puppy, just lost out in upper arm and expression to 1. Beautifull coat, well presented, just played up on the move. JB (4,2) 1 Batey, Contilly Parting Shot, Lovely strong head, good width of skull, correct ears and dark eye, strong muzzle. Harsh coat well presented, more compact than 2, moved and showed well 2 Haynes & Prior, Trouble And Chaos, a pretty bitch, a little longer cast than 1 and not the strength of muzzle, however she scored in bone over 1, well presented in a harsh coat, good tail carriage. Showed well, not the hind angulation of 1 which showed in her topline. PGB (4,1) 1 Tinsley, Javidel Talk The Talk, a very typy bitch, lovely shape and make, compact and strong, yet feminine, well balanced, short and cobby, good spring of rib, nice bone. In good coat well presented, moved well. 2 Morris & Reid, Alantro Botanical Jewel, not the spring of rib of 1 and a little longer cast. Good bone, good length of neck, good stop. Showed well. 3 Mitchell, Javidel Miss Marple At Swalefield Lb (4) 1 Inett, & Harrison, Ragus A Fine Romance, A close decision between 1 and 2, well up to size but had the edge on movement over 2. Lovely tail, good harsh coat, well presented, preferred her strength of head and expression, nice bone, rib could be longer. The best mover here today. Pleased to award her the CC. 2 Batey, Contilly Smoke And Burn, Unlucky to meet 1, a lovely size, just didn’t stride out as well as 1, shorter and more compact than 1, tail well carried, fabulous harsh coat, not the front construction of 1. 3 Armstrong & Lawrance, Elantiz I Am Who I Am Ob (3) 1 Armstrong, & Lawrance, Elantiz Autumnal Spice, another close decision between 1 and 2. Both short and compact but also short in rib and a bit lacking in muzzle. Won on movement and length of neck over 2 2 Smith, Javidel Pillow Talk, Another short cobby, typy bitch, preferred her coat to 1. 3 Bell & Bell, Dorinor Royal Maid C Thompson-Morgan
