1. Morris & Reid’s Brickin Blame the Game. Mature red wheaten male with an excellent head, small dark eye, neat ears, good length of neck and shoulder with firm topline, short in back with good harsh jacket nicely presented, with well sprung ribs and good tail carriage. Showing himself at all times a good rapport with his handler. Best Special Beginner.

2. Darkins Ragus Sand Marten. Red puppy 6 months old of good type, pleasing head and expression, good dentition, short in back, ribs developing well, good coat texture coming through. Just needs a little time to come together and learn the ropes. He has a good temperament and time is on his side.

1. Crawley’s Ragus War Paint. Eight months, quality grizzle pup, excellent head, dark eye with typical expression, good ears and dentition, so well put together, balanced cobby body, cat-like feet, in excellent coat, moved true. Loved him.

2. Darkins Ragus Sand Marten.

1. Harrison, Inett & Crawley’s Ragus Silver Gilt. Nine months red, pup of great type and balance another typical head and expression, dark eye, good ears and dentition. Excellent for size. Great coat, short back and firm top line, good lay back of shoulder and hind angulation, moves with style really caught my eye. RCC & BP.

2. Armstrong & Egginton’s Ragus Blue Steel. 10 months black and tan, smart pup, attractive head dark eye. Good ears, enough neck, good in shoulder, short coupled, well ribbed for age and good tail set, moving well keeping his outline.

1. Haynes & Crawley’s Ragus Fine Old Port. 17 months wheaten up to size, strong muzzle masculine head, dark eye, well-placed ears, with good spring of rib, short in back in good coat and presentation, lovely padded feet, he has an excellent temperament and shows with enthusiasm.

1. Graves’ Belleville I’m at Pipsacre. Black and tan with super head and expression. Strong muzzle with good width between ears and well off for bone, slightly longer in loin, broad hind quarters with good turn of stifle. Well sprung ribs and level topline, covering the ground with good length of stride, in harsh jacket.

2. Gretton & Bell’s Elantiz Verde. Two quality exhibits. Smartly turned out dog with good head, dark eye and keen expression. Good length of neck. Well laid shoulders, short backed with a good top line & tail set. Moved well in profile.

1. Crawley & Baldwins Ch. Ragus Punch Bowl. Top quality wheaten male, good width of skull, dark eye and good ear placement, giving that typical expression. He has a good length of neck and well laid shoulders. Excellent spring of rib in a cobby body, put down in excellent coat and condition. He covers the ground well flexing, those well padded feet, lovely outline from all angles. CC and congratulations to you on going on to win Best in show.

2. Martins Ragus Oh Boy. Another quality male, unlucky to meet one today. Smaller framed red in excellent harsh coat, masculine head, dark eye & good dentition, decent length of neck and correct lay of shoulder. Well ribbed and short in loin with a good tail set, moved steadily for his handler, holding his top line.

Lovely class of puppies, all at different stages of development.

1. Armstrong & Lawrence’s Elantiz Autumnal Spice. Six months red baby with the sweetest head and expression, small, dark eye and neat ears, in short coat today of excellent texture, everything in place at this age, super showy pup who moves well for her age, she has an excellent temperament and I will look forward to seeing how she develops.

2. Haynes’ Alantro Regal Jewel. Very similar attributes. Excellent type lovely head and expression. Short in back, well balanced, in good coat, another with good ring presence.

3. Gretton & Bell’s Ragus Songbird.

PB (4,1)

1. Crawley’s Ragus Made In Silver. 10 months grizzle pup, she was the most mature in this class, and more together, quality head super expression that catches the eye. Good in neck and well sprung ribs for her age. Short backed cobby body. Very well balanced on the move, good hind quarters and her cheeky attitude won her this class. BPB.

2. Armstrong & Lawrence’s Elantiz I Am Who I Am. Lovely head on this pup with alert expression, good ear placement which she uses well, good in neck and shoulder and in excellent short coat of harsh texture. Another promising puppy.

3. Graves’ Pipsacre Along Came Polly.

1. Tate & Dragon’s Jaeva In The Purple. Excellent for type. Cobby 15 months, black and tan well off for bone, so smart, in super coat and condition. Beautiful head and dentition, dark eye with a lovely expression. Good length of neck and layback of shoulder, straight in front, short backed with the best of tails with well padded feet. She looked a picture standing, and in profile, keeping her outline on the move very showy. BCC

2. Webster’s Ragus Another Button. Pretty red wheaten, pleasing in head with neat ears and small, dark eye and good dentition. She is short and compact in body with enough bone for her size and a good textured coat, keeping her top line on the move.

3. Furby’s Ragus Monkey Business at Pepperwood.

PGB (2,0)

1. Bell & Bell’s Dorinor’s Royal Maid. Excellent type of red wheaten in lovely coat and condition. She has a feminine head, small, dark eye, neat, well-placed ears, giving a lovely expression, good in neck and shoulder with a short level back, well ribbed and excellent tail and carriage. She has good legs and feet in her correct compact frame moved well fore and aft but in the challenge she tended to lean to one side and drop into her front which spoiled her overall movement. RCC

2. Mitchell’s Javidel Miss Marple at Swalefield. Two year old red bitch, with pleasing head and expression, dark eye, and neat ears, a little finer all through. She is short backed with a good spring of rib and once settled moved well for her handler.

OB (1,0)

1. Stevenson’s Brickin Mint Edition A mature bitch of good type. She has a lovely quality head and expression, dark eye and correct ear placement. Lovely length of neck and well-placed shoulders moving well keeping a good outline. She has good bone and spring of rib short in back and keeps her outline on the move, with a new coat she should do well.
