NORWICH NATIONAL TERRIER 17 Norwich Terrier Judge: Mr B Claydon BEST OF BREED : 811 CRAWLEY, Mrs L & BALDWIN Mrs Y Ch Ragus Jump the Gun NORWICH JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 17 Norwich Terriers I had a most enjoyable day at National Terrier, my thanks to my two capable stewards & to the committee for such a lovely day. MPD (3) 1 Crawley’s Ragus Scouts Honour, red youngster who surely has a bright future, good head & eye, well angulated front, level topline, well let down hocks, so well balanced for his age, & his movement is hard to find fault with, showed really well to take BP & RCC & was only beaten by his father for the CC; 2 Hitchen’s Kreatin Extra Mile, red of nice type & a lot to like about him, pleasing head, good ears, nice reach of neck, firm topline, in good coat, not as positive as the winner on the move at this stage; 3 Stevenson’s Brickin Paper Moon. PD (4) 1 Lazenby & Crawley’s Tincave I’m The Man, red in good order, pleasing head, good ears, a nice size with a good topline & outline, well set tail, moved OK & showed well; 2 Batey’s Javidel Walk Hand In Hand, a well balanced dog who was close up to the winner, a nice type with a good head, enough neck & a firm topline, moved steadily & showed nicely; 3 Crawley’s Ragus Mr 00’Seven. JD (1) 1 Stevenson’s Brickin Moonmaker, b/t with lovely head & alert expression, strong underjaw, good ears, well bodied & in full coat, nicely balanced & kept his topline on the move, stood alone but he’s a good one. PGD (3,1a) 1 Armstrong & Lawrence’s Butterscotch Schnapps at Elantiz, red in good condition, good head, eye & expression, strong underjaw, level topline, & in good coat, just needs more confidence on the move; 2 Sumowski’s Drut Zamlicze, red dog who unfortunately left the ring before I could critique it. LD (1) 1 Hayes’ Ragus Fabulous Clown, red with a pleasing head & a keen eye, a nice size with good bone, showed steadily & moved OK. OD (3) 1 Crawley & Baldwin’s Ch Ragus Jump The Gun, quality red of super type, presented in top class coat & condition, good headed dog with an alert expression at one with his handler. Nice front angulation, good reach of neck, firm level topline, well sprung ribs & well let down hocks, moved true front & rear & looked a picture going round the ring. CC & BOB; 2 R Fabulous Clown; 3 Barrel’s Barwest Blaze Of Glory. MPB (4,1) 1 Hitchen’s Kreatin Extra Sweet, typy red with good substance, in good coat, kept her topline on the move, nice reach of neck, moved with confidence, showed well; 2 Batey’s Ragus Burning Question, a nice bitch but trimmed down to the bottom on the day, a lot to like about her, she is a nice size & shape, good topline, well bent stifles & moved & showed well; 3 Crawley’s Hop Skip N’ Jump. PB (4,1) 1 Chambers’ Rouletta What A Charmer, red with a pleasing head & dark eyes, nice reach of neck, well sprung ribs, in good coat, moved steadily & showed OK; 2 Crawley’s Ragus Silk Gloves, lovely young bitch with a good head, & keen eye, short coupled & a nice overall shape, not as steady as the winner on the day; 3 Thompson’s Morgans Belleville Total Effect. JB (2) 1 Crawley’s Ragus Loves The Glove, what a super mover this young red bitch is, classy head, good reach of neck, level topline giving her a lovely outline, nice spring of rib & well let down hocks, great presentation, in good coat & showed non stop. RCC; 2 Smith’s Ragus Way Too Smart for Javidel, red who is another good mover, pleasing head, eye & ears, well bodied, short coupled, not in the coat of the winner on the day. PGB (4,1) 1 Armstrongs & Lawrence’s Elantiz Jabberjay, red in short hard coat, dark eyes, strong jaw, good ears, well bodied, good bone, moved OK & showed well; 2 Stevenson’s Brickin Miss Unruly, red, pleasing head, short coupled, good outline, moved steadily & showed well; 3 Thompson Morgan’s Belleville Vintage Effect. LB (1) 1 Armstrong & Lawrence’s Elantiz Mockingjay, nicely balanced red, with a varminty expression, good ears & a nice type, her lack of furnishings on the day detracted a little, but could not be ignored for her style on the move & her showmanship, just loved her attitude. OB (1) 1 Tate’s Ch Jaeva Maid Of Honour, b/t in good order, lovely head & expression, good reach of neck, nicely bodied, well bent stifles, a nice size & well balanced, beautifully presented & a non stop show girl.
