NORWICH NATIONAL TERRIER 13 Judge(s): DIANE JENKINS (KINSRIDGE) Norwich Terriers MPD, PD & JD (0). PGD (2) 1 Harpham & Hulance’s Ragus Kiss In The Dark, very typical young b/t, ultra short, cobby with excellent head proportions, dark eye, good bite, strong muzzle, lovely expression, enough neck well laid shoulders, good rear angulation. Just a little hesitant at times. RCC; 2 Clark’s Honismart Ginger Snap, very showy young male. Not the quality of 1. Pleasing head, front OK but straight behind. In full coat, well handled. LD (4) 1 Stevenson’s Ragus Now And Forever, very eyecatching red male, on his toes the whole time. Strong masculine head, small dark eye, excellent mouth & dentition. Good reach of neck, well laid shoulders, short back, level topline, good rear angulation, moved with reach & drive. CC & BOB, very pleased to see him in the last 6 for BIS; 2 Brown’s Ragus The Devil Can Wait for Lastarean, similar type to 1, good head proportions but with a softer expression. Excellent mouth. Reasonable length of neck but a little upright in shoulder. Moved well but felt he could have more animation. Good coat. OD (2) 1 Hitchen’s Ragus Devil In The Detail for Kreatin, really typy red male who I have admired in the past. Beautiful head & expression, dark eye, good mouth, good strength of muzzle. A little short in neck. Excellent bone & feet, short back, really cobby outline. A little unsteady in his rear movement. MPB (2) Not an easy class to judge as they were very different types & both had a lot to like. I’m sure they will change places many times during their careers. 1 Hitchen’s Kreatin Hidden Gem, what a together young lady, very attractive head & expression, good mouth, enough neck, level topline held on the move, in excellent coat & condition. Not as extravagant a mover as 2 but showed herself off to advantage. BP; 2 Crawley’s Ragus Sweet Kisses, bigger type than 1, carrying a bit of weight which made her look out of balance with a small head & neck & large body, very typical of a puppy of this age, I’m sure this will right itself in the future. Not as sure of herself as 1 but once settled moved out with reach & drive. PB (3) 1 Lazenby’s Diamond Girl, pleasing head & expression, dark eye & excellent mouth. Good length of neck running into well laid shoulders, level topline held on the move. Moved & showed well. Looks a little rangy but when she matures will be one to watch; 2 Kell’s Amicaro Jubilympia, good type, short level topline, pleasing head but could have more fill under her eye, good mouth, dark eye but a little full. Moved OK, showed well, in full coat. JB (3) 1 A Jubilympia; 2 Armstrong & Lawrence’s Elantiz Gwynevere, good head & expression but more old fashioned type with very little face & leg furnishings. Very difficult to assess her movement as her handler allowed her to move very fast. PGB (2) 1 Arrand’s Ragus Dance Away, pleasing head, good width between ears but could be stronger in foreface. Good length of neck, level topline, could be shorter in loin. Moved with purpose, well handled. LB (6) 1 Phillip’s Ragus Madly In Love, very typy bitch, lovely head & expression, dark eye, good mouth, good length of neck but a little short in upper arm causing her to move a little wide in-front. Short back, good set on & rear angulation, showed well enough for CC; 2 Brown’s Queslade Amber Angel, beautiful type, lovely head & expression. Not as sound as 1. Showed well. OB (5) 1 Stevenson’s Ragus Coming Up Next to Brickin, another very typy bitch, lovely expression with good head proportions, enough neck, excellent bone & feet, short back, cobby body. Moved & showed well but overall outline spoilt as she is carrying a bit too much weight. RCC; 2 Hitchen’s Ragus Hidden Amber, lovely type, in excellent coat. The same comments apply to this bitch as 1. Could have better rear movement. DIANE JENKINS |
