NORWICH JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 11

Norwich Terrier

A good entry. I thought the huge variation in sizes made judging to the Standard difficult in some classes. The two imported stud dogs were sires to most of my placed dogs & although they had many good features I don’t think they quite measured to ‘Truemans’ type.

MPD (1)

1 Crawley’s Ragus Only This Once, a promising 6 months pup, head still developing but already a good stop, dark eye & correct bite, good bone & body for age, moved OK.

PD (0).

JD (4)

1 Baldwin’s Ragus Devil’s Due, liked head type, shape, short back & outline, in good coat & condition. Moved a little wide in front;

2 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Coconut Ice, well up to size but of good type & substance, moved well & soundly for his young handler;

3 Dent’s Ragus Cornish Caper at Fizzella.

PGD (0).

LD (5)

1 CC & BOB, Crawley’s Ragus Devine Devil, b/t who stood out here, correct size, low to the ground, cobby, short in back, straight front, moved steadily & showed well, in excellent coat & condition & beautifully presented;

2 Fraser’s Ragus King Of Swing, very showy red, moved well with drive & energy, alongside 1 he appeared too big & a little long. In lovely coat & condition.

OD (2)

1 RCC, Crawley’s Ragus Jazz King, red with a fantastic head & expression, in lovely coat & condition, liked him equally as well as CC winner on table, so it was a difficult decision but movement was just not as steady, even in the challenge;

2 Norrey’s Fleurnor Red Hot Poker, red, good head type but lacked furnishings. Moved with drive & showed well.

MPB (1)

1 Crawley & Fraser’s Ragus Extra Hot, deep red pup with attractive head, in good coat & condition, moved well when settled.

PB

1 Corkhill’s Jillymack Madam Butterfly, 11 months b/t, balanced with good head, neck, shoulders & outline, straight front, moved well & showed with animation, well presented in coat of good texture. CC & BP;

2 Stevenson’s Bricking Tickled Pink – not today! Lovely to go over on table, really liked for type, size & balance but just could not be persuaded to move or show.

JB (5)

1 Crawley & Baldwin’s Ragus Mayfair, b/t, just out of puppy & still looked immature but so neat, very smart & showy, won on movement & balanced outline, well presented;

2 Hitchen’s Ragus Hidden Amber, red in lovely coat, good head, mouth & balance. Lost on front movement;

3 Martin’s Kirmir Little Mischief.

PGB (6)

1 Watkins’ Baktwins Dream Summer, b/t, liked her type, head & expression, short back & topline, in good coat. Could lose some weight to advantage but moved soundly & smartly. RCC;

2 Chambers’ Bewitching Belle from Roulette;

3 Dent’s Amicaro Kiss On The Hand at Rizzella.

LB (7)

1 Smith & Crawley’s Ragus Cool Jazz, b/t, similar in make & shape to her brother, good head, balance & outline. Moved a little wide in front. In good coat & condition;

2 Harrild’s Ragus Inspiration, liked type, head & balance. A little straight in hindquarters. Showed very well to deserve her placing;

3 Chambers’ Rouletta Thyme For Diamonds.

OB (3)

1 Corkhill’s Ch Redash Clementine, up to size but such a well balanced outline, good spring of rib & well made body, very fit which showed in movement, a worthy ch but out of coat;

2 Martin’s Baktwins Follow That Dream, liked her type, low & short, good reach of neck but carrying too much weight;

3 Crawley’s Ragus Forever Yours.
