NORWICH LEEDS 19 Judge: Mrs F Chapman-King BEST OF BREED : 2270 CRAWLEY, Mrs L & ODDIE Mr M Ch Ragus The Jumping Jack NORWICH JUDGE LEEDS 19 It was a pleasure to judge this breed at CC level for the first time, with quality dogs down the line, and sporting exhibitors. Assisted by my able stewards. Three puppies, all at different stages of development. 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Total Eclipse. Promising puppy with an excellent well made body and substance for his age. Well off for bone, good proportion and angulation, ribbed up and in good coat and order. Preferred stronger head of second, but time on his side. Moved and handled well. 2 Crawley’s Ragus My Best Shot. Close up and with more developed typical head than first and better eye. Preferred the body properties of first. In good coat and order, moved well. 3 Page’s Contilly Ask No Questions Between Winflash. Pleasing head and moved well enough. More immature than first and second at present. Not the body properties of first, up to size. 1 Crawley & Baldwin’s Ragus Time of My Life. Typical and super head and expression, short backed, good in body, ribbing substance and bone. Harsh jacket, compact, sound and shown to advantage. Res CC. 2 Armstrong & Lawrence’s Ragus Sweet Bay At Elantiz. Typical dog with lovely head, eye and expression and of pleasing breed type. Good forehand and excellent coat and presentation. A touch longer in back and would not settle on the move today in the long grass. Will do better on another surface. 1 Armstrong & Lawrence’s Butterscotch Schnapps At Elantiz (Imp Ita). Well made dog with strong wide skull, short back and level topline. Good body properties and coat texture. Reluctant to move and moved better going than coming. 1 Crawley & Oddie’s Ch Ragus The Jumping Jack. Quality dog of excellent type and size. Short backed, cobby, well bodied, ribbed up, balanced and well angulated. Most typical head and skull, could have darker eye. Sound and showy, presented and handled expertly. Well set on. CC & BOB. 2 Lazenby’s Tinkave I’m The Man. Another typy dog of quality. Pleasing in head, skull and ear. Looked good on the stack and excellent quarters and coat texture good. Slightly longer in back than first and a size bigger. Moved out well enough. 3 Hayes’ Ragus Fabulous Clown ShCM. 1 Hayes’ Ragus Seven Jumps. Typical and pretty bitch with feminine head and eye, good skull. Compact, well bodied, in good coat and order. Could have a touch more angulation. Moved out well enough. Best Sp Beginner and third in Sp Beginner Group. 2 Hayes’ Ragus Fabulous Clown ShCM. Dog of rangier type. Pleasing eye and expression and coat of good texture. Coped well with the long grass and moved well. PB (5) Three puppies, all at different stages of development. 1 Hitchen’s Kreatin Added Extra. Lovely quality typical puppy, with a super head, eye and expression. Cobby, well bodied, ribbed up, excellent quarters short back. Well set on good bone and substance. In excellent coat and presentation. Moved and showed very well. BPIB. 2 Horsewood & Horsewood’s Trutillian Perfect Joyce. Not as forward in development yet as first and not the head properties. Has time on her side. Moved out fairly well. 3 Page’s Ragus Pardon My French. Did not stay for critique. 1 Hayes’ Ragus Seven Jumps. 2 Davies & Tinsley’s Morzi Hello Dolly. Has good substance and body properties, excellent coat texture and well presented. Not quite the head properties of first. Unlucky to meet first on such good form today. Not settled on the move. PGB (2, 1) 1 Hayes’ Ragus Seven Jumps. LB (1) 1 Kell & Crawley’s Amicaro Light Up The Sky. Wheaten, with a pleasing eye and expression. Could have a stronger head.
