NORWICH JUDGE LKA 19

Thank you to LKA for the invitation to judge the Norwich, to my stewards for their great job and especially the exhibitors for their entries. I was pleased to see that mouths and dentition were correct on the majority of dogs, and that all the dogs had ease of breathing. Coats were good and well presented

MPD (1)

1 Crawley’s Ragus Comedy King, Up to size but very well put together, good head, eye and ear set, lovely strong dentition, level top line and correct tail set, ribs of correct length and depth, sound in front and rear, moved out sound and free, coat of good texture and excellent trim.

PD (2)

1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Total Eclipse. Loved this little man, mature 11 months old and everything for me to like, correct size, super head with dark eyes, well set ears all giving that true Norwich expression, well placed shoulders, short back, strong rib and level top line. Straight in front and well angulated quarters giving him power on the move, coat at its very best. Scored high in profile and finish for me, very pleased to award him DCC, BP and BOB.

2 Mason’s Ragus Mark My Words To Glenhafod. Another nice puppy with strong head and dark eye, good length of neck, falling into well placed shoulders, Level topline and correct tail set. Good texture to coat, needs to tighten a little more in front.

JD (3)

1 Graves’ Pipsacre Morning Tide. My winner for overall type and movement, true expression and good strong mouth, good straight front and well angulated quarters, his habit (one often seen in the best of Norwich) of tail dropping on the free stand was made up by the fact that it was set on well, and he held it so well on the move which was both sound and true. Shown in excellent coat and trim.

2 mason’s Ragus Mark My Words To Glenhafod.

3 Page’s Contilly Ask No Questions Between Winflash.

LD (2)

1 Ackling & Dingle’s Kreatin Extra Factor. Smart girl with good head, dk eyes, and well placed ears. level top line and well ribbed body, good front and rear angulation which gave her a sound movement. Shown in good coat and trim.

2 Webster’s Bellville Striking Effect. Not the overall construction of my winner, feminine head, correct ear placement, but would like a better mouth and dentition, moved steadily, good presentation.

OD (2)

This class was down to the finest of points for me, and made my decision hard.

1 Hitchen’s Ch Kreatin Extra Mile. Nice upstanding dog with a lot to like, well balanced, masculine head with dk eyes and well placed ears, good length of neck and well placed shoulders. Level top line and nicely placed tail. Well boned straight front and good strong thighs, nice profile both stood and on the move which was sound both ways. RCC.

2 Crawley & Oddie’s Ch Ragus The Jumping Jack. Another very good dog that has a lot to offer, smaller in type to the winner but very well balanced, nice head with dk eyes and well placed ears giving a good expression. Moved soundly fore and aft.

GCD (1)

1 Hayes’ Ragus Fabulous Clown ShCM ShCEx. Masculine head with dk eyes, good length of neck and well laid shoulders, correct depth of rib, front a little wide, moved steady.

MPB (4, 2)

A disappointing class where both girls need time to develop.

1 McLaughlin’s Brickin Star Catcher At Barwest. Hopefully this young baby will develop more with age, feminine head with dark eyes, lacking body and bone, moved well for her owner.

2 Page’s Winflash To Russia With Love. Similar findings as first but didn’t move as well.

PB (3, 1)

1 Tate’s Jaeva Run N’jump TAF. Won this class on overall type as both exhibits not enjoying their day out at all, feminine head with dk eyes, coat was harsh and correct, moved better once settled.

2 Page’s Ragus Easter Bonnet. Feminine head with dark eyes, nice neck and shoulders, coat was of good texture, front and rear both a little wide, not enjoying herself at all on the move.

JB (4, 1)

1 Graves’ Ragus Love Letter To Pipsacre. Lovely sound bitch, super size with feminine head full of expression, strong mouth and dentition, correct length of neck and well laid shoulders, strong in front and well angulated quarters which she used well on the move. Coat at its very best and presentation excellent, pleased to give her the CC.

2 Tate’s Ladies Maid Jaeva NAF TAF. Nice type, feminine head although I would prefer a little darker eye, correct ear set, strong firm top line, straight front and sound rear, coat in between stages but of good texture, moved well.

3 Watkins’ Trutillian Perfect Life.

LB (3, 1)

1 Crawley’s Ragus Cinnamon Twist. Although only 7 months she has all to offer, pleasing head with lovely expression, good dark eyes, correct ears and strong mouth. Level topline and good length and depth to rib, sound in front and well angulated to rear, moved with purpose and showed herself well for one so young which made her my class winner and my RCC.

2 Hayes’ Ragus Seven Jumps JW. Pleasing head with good expression, eyes, ears and mouth all correct, sound front and rear, coat in very good order, moved well but lacked the sparkle of first.

GCB (1)

1 Ragus Seven Jumps JW.
