NORWICH JUDGE LKA 19

First my apologies that my BOB didn't make the Group. I was quite disappointed that we missed it by minutes due to the delay in starting my judging. I enjoy judging this breed and think the breed type is quite uniform. Again movement was quite sound in the majority, on the negative side, mouths need to be watched, quite a few exhibits had small teeth and not best of bites. I had no concerns as regards breathing problems.

MPD (3)

1 Crawley's Ragus Time Of My Life. Ultra typy boy who is very mature for his age. Has one of the nicest heads, good skull with well placed ears, dark eyes which help to give that keen expression. Well balanced shape, good neck and shoulders with a straight front. Correct body with depth and well ribbed. Strongly made hindquarters with a correct tailset. In a full well presented coat, moved well and a steady showman. BP.

2 Graves' Pipsacre The Black Of Beyond. Black/tan, as his name suggests. Nice head and expression, well placed ears. Nice outline. Well made body, short & well ribbed. In nice coat, lost out to first on movement.

3 Davies & Tinsley's Morzi Cousin Vinny.

JD (2)

1 Ackling & Dingle's Kreatin Extra Factor. Very nice type, good head for length with a well filled foreface. Good in neck, shoulders and front. Short backed with a good spring of rib, well made hindquarters and correct in tailset. In very nice coat and condition. He is a lovely sound mover and showed well.

2 Tate's Jaeva Pay The Piper. Black/tan. Nice head and expression, well placed dark eye. Good depth of ribs, but in my opinion could carry a little more body. In a full coat. Could have moved with more enthusiasm, a happy showman.

LD (1)

1 Smith's Javidel Walk In The Park. Alone, but full of quality and breed type. He has a well balanced head with a keen and alert expression. Correct in neck and shoulders with a straight front. Short backed with a good spring of ribs, well muscled hindquarters. Balanced outline, in a good quality coat, a lovely sound mover who showed his head off. RCC.

OD (3)

This was a nice class.

1 Crawley, Oddie, Nagrecha & Dyer's Ch Ragus Scouts Honour. An outstanding example of the breed. Full of breed type with that 'Ragus' expression. Correct head with well placed ears, dark expressive eyes, correct lengths and a well filled foreface. Neck, shoulders and front correct. Well made body with good depth and well sprung ribs. Strongly made hindquarters and correct tailset. Lovely outline, moves with an easy fluent action. A top showman. Was pleased to award him the CC & BOB. Nice to hear he was a son of my BOB winner when I last judged the breed and he is the sire of my BP.

2 Lazenby's Tinkave I'm The Man. Another very nice male who was close to first in many ways. I liked his masculine head but preferred the expression of first. He has a nice outline, short backed and balanced. Good in neck, shoulders and front. Very nice covered body with a good spring of ribs. Well made hindquarters and correct tailset. In nice coat and condition, moved and showed well.

3 Hitchen's Ch Kreatin Extra Mile.

VD (2)

1 Barge & Hardwicke's Baktwins Sun Seeker. Black/tan of nice type. Pleasing head and expression. Nicely made front, mature in body with a good tailset. In a nice coat, moves very well and congratulations to his owners for keeping him in such good condition for his age. BV.

2 Nutkin's Tebrun Favour. A younger male than 1, not as balanced looking somewhat taller on the leg. Nice head and expression, straight in front, well made body and level topline. In nice coat.

GCD (2)

1 Hayes' Ragus Fabulous Clown. Nice size and shape, masculine in outlook. Well balanced shape and clean in outline. Nice front, well made body and hindquarters. In a good coat, moves well with plenty of enthusiasm.

3 Nutkin's Tebrun Favour.

MPB (5, 1)

1 Hardwicke's Norowic Mistress Of Magic. Black/tan who I liked very much for her type. Looks very mature for one so young, nice expressive head with well placed ears. Nice through her neck and shoulders, good front. Well made body, good ribbing and compact with correct tail set. She has a good coat of the correct texture. A very good mover both ways and shows well.

2 Lazenby's Bellville All Smiles. Similar in age to first but not so mature, needs more time which she has. She has a nice head with a good expression, nicely placed ears. Good body and coat, happy mover.

3 Nutkin's Norowic Lady Of Lorien.

PB (2)

1 Hayes' Ragus Seven Jumps. Mature girl of nice type and size. I liked her overall shape and balance. She has a good expressive head with good ear placement. Nice in front and back construction, well made body and correct in tailset. In nice coat, a good and confident mover.

2 Nutkin's Norowic Lady Of Lorien. A baby and gives a lot away in age, she has the making of a nice one when she is more mature. She has a nice expressive head, I liked her overall shape and make. A happy mover.

JB (4)

1 Hitchen & Lumpkin's Ch Kreatin Extra Treat. My notes just said lovely! This wheaten just takes your eye when she walks into the ring. She is of just lovely type, good size and nicely balanced. Very pleasing head and expression. Good through her neck and shoulders, good front with nice feet. Mature short backed body, strongly made hindquarters and correct tailset. In very nice coat, moves soundly both ways and shows very nicely. CC.

2 Crawley's Ragus Loving Spoonful. Very nice typy girl, also of the correct size. She has that special expressive head this kennel is known for. Good length of neck, well angulated shoulders and nice front. Pleasing in body and well made hindquarters with a good tailset. I liked her balanced outline, in good coat and moves soundly both ways. RCC.

3 Haynes' Alantro Step In To My Shadow.

PGB (1)

1 Watkin's Alantro Step To It. Nice typy red girl. She has a nice head piece with a dark eye. Good width in front, cobby well ribbed body. Well made hindquarters and correct tailset. Coat ok, moves soundly both ways and shows well.

LB (2, 1)

1 Stevenson's Brickin Chase A Rainbow. Lovely type of girl. She has a very nice head with a good keen expression. Well made in front construction, mature body with a nice spring of rib. In a nice coat, moved soundly around the ring and showed very nicely.

OB (3, 1)

1 Crawley's Ragus Silk Moth. She has very good breed type, a really nice head with that typical expression. Good in neck and shoulders with a straight front. Good body with a good depth and spring of rib. Nice turn of stifle and well muscled hindquarters. In a nice coat, moves soundly both ways and showed well.

2 Haynes' Alantro First Step. Mature girl who lost out to first in head, would like a shorter foreface. Good neck and shoulders, nice in front. She has a good body with a good spring of rib. Moves well both ways and a happy showgirl.

GCB (2)

1 Hayes' Ragus Seven Jumps.

2 Nutkin's Norowic Lady Of Lorien.
