NORWICH JUDGE EAST OF ENGLAND 21

Thank you to the East of England committee for the appointment, the exhibitors for the lovely entry and for taking my decisions graciously.
The ring was large and well spaced out but the ground left a lot to be desired.
Congratulations for holding the show in such difficult times and thank you to my efficient stewards, whom without you shows couldn’t go ahead.

1 Crawley’s Ragus Fun And Games: Smart typy red dog with a good head, typical terrier expression with dark eye nicely shaped. He uses his ears well. Excellent mouth, strong jaw. Enough length of neck, short back and enough bone for his size. I would prefer a straighter tail but he showed his socks off, moving with enthusiasm and handling the ground extremely well. Very confident, happy dog.

1 Crawley’s Michan Smoke N Mirrors: My star of the day! Quality B&T male, 16 month old at only his 2nd show; he showed like he owned the ring. Excels for breed type, beautiful head with expressive dark eyes, correctly placed ears, good dentition and strong jaw. Correct length of neck running into well placed shoulders, short in back with correct short rib and short loin. Standing on tight feet with lovely bone. He is in excellent jacket, black all through with the correct coat texture. He moved well given the ring conditions. I was pleased to award him BOB and see him awarded Terrier Group 2 in excellent company. I’m sure this young man has a bright future.

2 Crozier’s Sea Sky: 6yr old typy B&T dog, he excels in head, eye and expression. Enough neck, lovely and short well sprung ribs. I would like to see more angulation behind but moved well and coped remarkably well with the long grass. Happy dog, well handled.

1 Lazenby’s Tinkave I’m The Man: Well put together male who is very typy. He is up to size but all in proportion. He has a beautiful broad head full of quality, dark expressive eyes and well placed ears which he used well. Medium length of neck, well placed shoulders, excellent spring of rib with short loin, good tailset. Lovely bone and feet. Moved and handled the ground well. RBD.

2 Crozier’s Misma Of Brook Hall: What a neat typy little Norwich, lovely head and expression, enough length of neck but not quite the shoulders of 1. Short cobby body, would like to see a little more bend of stifle. Good coat and well presented.

1 Hayes’ Ragus Fabulous Clown ShCM, ShCEx: Lovely head with expressive eyes and neat well placed ears. Good length of neck, well ribbed body. He has lovely bone but is quite a leggy Norwich. He has a zest for life, never stops wagging his tail. So well schooled, he was one of the few that handled the ground conditions well.

What an exciting class of baby puppies, all at different stages but all full of quality. I am sure they will all take their turn in the top spot.

1 Crawley’s, Ragus Clouded Silver Moth: Such a quality puppy full of breed type. Excelled in head with the darkest of eyes, excellent mouth, strong under jaw. Strong neck into well laid shoulders, great bone for a bitch standing on well rounded feet. Short in back, with correct length of rib, good tail and set, moved and showed well. BB & BP, sorry she didn’t make the puppy group.

2 Stevenson’s Brickin Definitely Hot: I’m sure she will be hot too! Another quality bitch similar to 1, just is not as mature and doesn’t quite have the ringcraft at the moment as the winner. The loveliest of heads with dark expressive eyes, well placed ears, good mouth. Another well boned bitch. Good length of neck, well laid shoulders but slightly longer cast than 1. Good straight tail, in between coats, moved soundly.

3 Lazenby’s Belleville Vintage Vibe At Tinkave: Lovely bitch and her day will come.

JB (2,1)

1 Crawley’s Ragus Ruby Tiger Moth: Another quality exhibit from this kennel, litter sister to the PB winner and what a great litter of show girls. Beautiful head with dark expressive eyes and lovely fill under the eyes. Good mouth with strong jaw. Good length of neck, well laid shoulders, cobby in body but slightly longer than her sister. Lovely bone, tight feet and a great tail. Her first show, although full of confidence, handled the ground conditions well but not the ring presence of her sister. RBB.

1 Graves’ Pipsacre Seasons Greetings: Red bitch of 19 months who is quite immature. She is a lovely bitch who is just coming into coat. She has a good head and keen expression, dark eyes, and a good mouth. Correct length of neck into well laid shoulders, slightly longer cast and I would like to see a stronger topline. Well angulated at the rear and a straight tail. Moved slightly close behind but didn't think she was enjoying the ground conditions.

1 Watkins’ Trulillian Perfect Life: Quality typy red bitch of 2yrs. Lovely strong head with the darkest of eyes, well placed ears which she used, strong jaw with excellent bite. She was well boned for a bitch, enough neck into well placed shoulders. Short and cobby with well sprung ribs, excellent tail short and thick. She has a good texture of coat but not quite the trim of the main winners. She moved out well responding to her handler. I can see by the weight she carried today that she has “The Perfect Life”!

2 Graves’ Pipsacre Seasons Greetings: repeat

1 Hayes’ Ragus Seven Jumps: A Pretty bitch I have seen before. Attractive head with a sweet expression, neat ears which she used well, lovely big teeth. Correct length of neck and well placed shoulders. She is short and compact with a good tail, could be stronger behind but handled the ground conditions well. Beautifully turned out and went as one would expect from this team.
