NORWICH CRUFTS 26 Judge: Mr D Winsley It was a great pleasure to judge this lovely breed at Crufts. I was delighted with the quality and behaviour of the dogs. My thanks to my stewards for keeping the ring running. PD (2) 1 Smith’s Javidel War Talk. Black/tan. Nice size, pleasing head & expression for age. Straight front, good body, nice spring of ribs & depth. Well made hindquarters, good mover. In good coat, good temperament. Needs more time to mature, beaten by his sister for Best Puppy. 2 Page’s Ragus Another Coin. Red, not as mature as 1, but has plenty of time to mature. I liked his head & expression, good eye & well placed ears. Nice body, just needs to drop a little for better balance. In good coat & condition. Moved nicely. JD (3) 1 Crawley’s Willsifox Playful Whisper. Needs time to settle into showing, kept his handler on her toes. Good type, I liked his head & expression, nice dark eye with well placed ears. Good length of neck, pleasing in front, balanced body. In good coat & condition. Was a little wilful at times, happy with his movement both ways. 2 Ostermann & Inett’s. Kaju Skippy in Blue Jeans. Nice for type & size. Liked his head, good length of neck & level topline. Tending to move a little loose in front action. Good depth of body with well made hindquarters. In good coat & showing well. 3 Davydiuk’s Yarei Iz Poltavskogo Kraiya. PGD (5) 1 Perlich’s Ragus That’s My Story. Red with a nice overall balanced shape. Nice head of good proportions, good stop, good expression. Good neck & shoulders, compact body with good depth of rib. In good coat, nice mover both ways & shows well. 2 Webster’s Brancova’s Isle of Harris. Red, another of good breed type & shape. Pleasing head shape and expression. Well made front, good depth to his body, well ribbed. Level in topline & correct tailset. In good coat & condition, I was happy with his movement. 3 Webster’s Brancova’sMr Mcthistle. LD (3) 1 Crawley’s Ragus Lazy Sunday Afternoon. Red of the correct size & good type. Nice expressive head with good ear placement. Good reach of neck, well angulated shoulders with a straight front. Short in back & good depth to his body. Strongly made hindquarters, nice turn of stifle. Correct level topline & tailset. In a good quality coat, really sound fluent mover both ways & a competent showman. RCC. 2 Aparicio Gallinal’s Siete Villas On Fire. Unfortunately this boy was lacking in head furnishings & had too much coat on his forechest which detracted from the overall shape. Good stop, dark eye & well placed ears. Good length of neck & topline. Good depth to his body & well made hindquarters. In nice coat & condition. Happy with his movement. 3 Russell’s Casahasabi Lick of Paint. OD (6,1) 1 Thompson-Morgan & Lazenby’s Ch Tinkave Vibe Setter at Belleville WW25. Red dog who stands out, masculine without any coarseness. Good for type & size, nice head of good proportions, neat well placed ears. Good reach of neck that blends into his level topline. Straight in front, good depth to his well ribbed body. Well made hindquarters, correct tailset. In a lovely double coat with the correct ruff ( missing in many). Moving with drive, quite a competent showman. CC & BOB. Happy to see he took group 4 in a strong & competitive group. 2 Inett, Harrison & Page’s Winflash Feather Furever. Red of correct type & size. He has a nice head & expression. Good length of neck, correct in shoulder & straight front. Well made body with correct tailset, in a good quality coat. Moving well but just lacking in attitude for me. 3 Morris & Reid’s Brickin Blame The Game. PB (3,1) 1 Smiths Javidel Silence Is Golden. Mature Red who is put together just right. Good for size, type & balance shape. She already has a nice feminine head & expression, good reach of neck & level back. Straight front with a nice body that has depth & good ribbing. In a nice coat, moves cleanly both ways. Happy show girl, deserved her Best Puppy. 2 Darkins Ragus Another Summer. Red, not as mature as 1, but has plenty of time on her side. Has a nice head & expression. Nice body shape & depth. I liked her turn of stifle, good level topline. Nice coat. Needs to tighten up in movement which should come with more confidence, the NEC can be a little over powering for some youngsters. JB (5) 1 Horsewood’s SunnySummer Holiday by Trutillian. Red of good breed type, nice balanced shape. Expressive head with neat well placed ears. Straight front, body good for depth and ribbing. Good topline & tailset. In a good coat, steady mover both ways. 2 Tihomirova’s Black Imp Glamorous Genoveva. Black/tan of nice type. Good outline, carrying a little too much body. Pleasing head & expression. Balanced well made body, good hindquarters & correct tailset. In good coat, moved & showed well. 3 Inett, Harrison & Crawley’s Brancova Button N’bows. PGB (6,2) 1 Ouverney’s Casahasabi Paint My Love. Wheaten, nice balanced shape & correct size. Nicely balanced head with a keen expression. Good length of neck, correct in shoulder & straight front. Balanced in body, level topline & good straight tail. Well made hindquarters, nice sound mover, in a good coat. Was a little lacking in animation during the challenge as I seriously considered her for the RCC. 2 Armstrong & Lawrence’s Elantiz Butter Wouldn’t Melt. Black/tan, I liked her balanced shape. Pleasing head & expression. Well made body & backend with a correct tailset. In good coat, she is a very sound mover. 3 Morris & Reid’s Alantro Botanical Jewel. LB (4,1) 1 Inett, Harrison & Crawley’s Javidel Miss Moneypenny. Shaded red of good type. Really pleasing head & alert expression. Nicely balanced overall shape & outline. Good length of neck, correct shoulders & straight in front. Well made body of good depth. Good topline & tailset. In a quality coat, a good mover both ways. 2 Armstrong & Eggington’s Elantiz The Seasons Diamond. Black/tan, very showy girl. Nice expressive head set off by a ruff. Straight front, good body with depth & correct length. Level topline with correct tailset. In a nice coat, lost out to 1 due to her erratic movement. 3 Tinsley’s Javidel Talk The Talk at Morzi. OB (7,2) Nice class 1 Crawley’s Ch Ragus Smart In Silver. Red scores in breed type. Really nice feminine head of correct proportions, keen expression. Good front with correct shoulder angulation. Mature body of good depth & short back, level topline & correct tailset. Well made sound hindquarters which she knows how to use. In a good double coat, well prepared with a ruff. Showed steadily to win the CC & BOS. 2 Lazenby’s Ch Tinkeave Summer Vibes. Red, another quality girl, close up to 1. Good feminine head & expression, well placed ears, clean shape. Nice reach of neck that blends into her level topline, correct tailset. Well made body, in lovely coat & condition. Good mover both ways, shows all out. RCC 3 Armstrong & Lawrence’s Elantiz Autumnal Spice. David Winsley |
