NORWICH CRUFTS 17 Norwich Terrier NORWICH JUDGE CRUFTS 17 Norwich Terriers VD (1) 1 Barge & Hardwicke’s Baktwins Sunseeker, a 9 years b/t in good order. Pleasing head & expression, good for body & bone, with nice tight elbows. Good level topline, well muscled quarters & OK angulation & coat texture. He moved well. PD (4) 1 Lazenby & Crawley’s Tinkave Imthe Man, a typy red dog making a balanced outline. Good head & expression, with neat ears. Good topline & set-on, pleasing angulation, in a good jacket, he moved well; 2 Hitchen’s Kreatin Extra Mile, a red dog making a lovely compact outline but disappointed in length of loin. Pleasing head with a lovely eye, & nice angulation. Good coat texture & he moved OK when settled; 3 Batey’s Javidel Walk Hand In Hand, good for size & type, although not making the compact outline of 2. Pleasing head & expression, nicely off for bone, OK angulation & coat. He moved OK. JD (1) 1 Stevenson’s Brickin Moonmaker, an impressive b/t, good for size & type. Lovely head with a pleasing expression & neat, well place ears with good width between. Lovely well ribbed & well coupled body with a firm level topline. OK for angulation & presented in a good jacket, he moved OK behind but tended to swing a little in front. Looked his best on the move in profile. PGD (4) 1 Kell’s Ragus All Guns Firing for Amicaro, an up to size red dog, making a typy outline. Pleasing head & expression, nicely balanced body with a good topline & OK angulation. Presented in a good jacket, he showed very well & moved OK; 2 Armstrong & Lawrence’s Butterscotch Schnapps, good for size & super type, making a lovely balanced outline. I liked his head but would have preferred a darker eye, lovely, well couple body with a good topline & set-on. Presented in a lovely harsh jacket but sadly he was not moving well today; 3 Sutton’s Jaffa Cake Of Neszmely, a red dog, of larger stamp but making a pleasing outline. Acceptable head & expression, good for body topline & angulation. He showed well & moved OK behind but not so good in front. LD (3) 1 Kell’s Amicaro Whisky Chaser, a red dog of good size & lovely type. Good head & expression, lovely flow of neck into a level topline with a good set-on. Nicely balanced in body & bone with pleasing angulation & well muscled quarters. In good coat, he was one of the few to move with reach & drive; 2 Hayes’ Ragus Fabulous Clown, a larger stamp & a shade longer cast than 1. Pleasing head with a lovely expression, good body & topline. In an OK jacket, he moved OK behind but not quite too good in front; 3 Jaffa Cake of N. OD (6,2a) 1 Crawley & Baldwin’s Ch Ragus Jump The Gun, this was a lovely class & they ended up in different positions to my first impression. Whilst I would have preferred a little less of this one, I liked what I felt on examination & he was the best mover in the male classes. Well handled & presented, I liked his head & expression, body, bone & well muscled quarters. Good topline & angulation & well let down in hock. In good coat, he moved soundly with reach & drive; 2 Thompson-Morgan’s Ch Belleville Just For Effect, this was the one that initially took my eye. Good for size, & making a lovely typy, balanced outline. Whilst he has a perfectly acceptable head with a good eye, I found myself preferring the head of 1. In good coat, with a good topline, not quite the angulation & drive of 1. RCC; 3 Lapina’s Ragus Royal Tweed Brait Nouz, a larger dog, good for body, nicely balanced & well put together, moving soundly. I preferred the expression of those above. GCD (2) 1 R Fabulous Clown; 2 Dent’s Ragus Cornish Caper at Fizzella, aA b/t, good for size & in a super jacket. Masculine head with a good eye, a shade longer than 1 but with a level topline. Not the best of movers up & down & looked his best on the move in profile. VB (6,2) 1 Lazenby’s Ch Ragus Diamonds Only, a pretty headed red bitch with a good eye & well set ears. Good for size & type, with a pleasing body & good topline. In a good jacket, she moved & showed well; 2 Martin’s Kirmir Little Mischief, a typy red bitch with a feminine head & pleasing expression. Good for body but not quite the angulation of 1. She moved OK; 3 Flannery & Bennett’s Amicaro Hi Kicks at Jacquill, a b/t with a pleasing head & expression, presented in a good jacket. Nice flow of neck into her topline & with well muscled quarters. Not quite the angulation of 1 & a shade longer than those above. She moved OK. PB (5,1) 1 Crawley’s Ragus Silk Gloves, a lovely well balance red bitch making a super typy outline. Delightful head & expression, lovely flow of neck into a nicely ribbed, well coupled body with pleasing angulation & a good firm topline. In good coat, she moved & showed well & really filled my eye. BP; 2 Hitchen’s Kreatin Extra Sweet, another baby that made a lovely balanced outline. Feminine head with a good eye, OK body but not quite the coupling of 1. OK & angulation & in a good jacket, she moved OK; 3 Batey’s Ragus Burning Question, an appealing baby with a pretty head & lovely expression. Good for body with an OK topline. Not quite the angulation or movement of those above. JB (6,2) 1 Phillips’ Jaeva Summer Wine, a quality b/t bitch, good for size & type. Lovely head & expression, nicely angulated, with a good body & bone & correct topline. Well presented in a good jacket, she moved soundly. In the challenge she had a change of handler & did not perform as she did in the class; 2 Willett’s Debeaux A Royal Flush, a lovely, typy, compact bitch with a pretty head & pleasing expression. Nicely balanced in body & bone, with a good level topline, she moved true out & back but did not have the profile movement of 1; 3 Crawley’s Ragus Loves The Glove, an ultra sound moving bitch with a good head & eye. Lovely flow of neck into a good body but not quite the angulation of those above & just a shade too much of her. PGB (4,1) 1 Stevenson’s Brickin Miss Unruly, a pretty headed red bitch with a good eye, making a typy, balanced outline. Good flow of neck into a well ribbed body with a correct topline. Nicely angulated with well muscled quarters, she was in an OK coat, showed well & moved soundly. For some reason the handler seemed to lose concentration in the challenge; 2 Flannery & Bennett’s Lady Lyra at Jacquill, another b/t, good for size, although a shad longer than 1. Pretty head, OK for angulation & in a super jacket but I would have preferred better rear movement; 3 Armstrong & Lawrence’s Elantiz Jabberjay, a lovely bodied red bitch with a pretty head & a good eye. Pleasing neckline but I would have preferred better movement & a shade more angulation. LB (5) 1 Crawley & Oddie’s Ragus All The Rage, a lovely balanced, sound moving bitch with a good head & eye, lovely flow of neck into a good topline with a good, well ribbed body & good topline. Presented in a good jacket, she didn’t cope terribly well with the conditions in the challenge; 2 Willett’s Shugar Kjub Razzle Dazzle at Debeaux, a typy compact bitch of good size. Pretty head with a good eye, good for body & bone & with pleasing angulation but I would have preferred firmer hocks. Presented in good coat, she looked good on the move in profile but was not as good as 1 on the out & back; 3 Martin’s Tinkave Brown Eyed Girl at Kirmir, a typy red bitch, good for size & with a pleasing head & expression & neat ears. In good coat & pleasing to go over, moving OK but just not making the best of herself. OB (4) 1 Tate’s Ch Jaeva Maid Of Honour, good for size & lovely type. Super head & expression & a lovely flow of neck into a good topline & set-on. Lovely deep, well ribbed body with nice tight elbows. Pleasing angulation with well let down hocks & good feet. Presented in a good b/t coat she moved soundly & made a beautifully balanced profile outline on the move. CC & BOB; 2 Dudareva’s Rus/Int Ch Shugar Kjub Starlite, this was the surprise package of the day. Not groomed as the rest of the entry she did not catch my eye until the first run round when she made a superb, balanced profile picture. On examination, I found her a really good bitch to go over. Lovely head with good width between her ears & a very typical expression. Good flow of neck into a correct topline & a lovely, deep, well coupled body. Although the coat was longer than I was used to looking at, it had good colour & texture. Very little to choose between the first two & although they both moved well, this one didn’t quite have the front movement of 1. RCC; 3 Weum’s Lotcheck I Love You Yeah Yeah Yeah, a pretty headed b/t with a good eye & well coupled body & super coat texture. Good for topline, she pleased in angulation & moved OK behind but not quite so well in front. GCB (2) 1 Dent’s Ragus Just Joking at Fizzella, a red bitch with a pleasing head & expression, OK for angulation & topline & good coat texture. She moved well; 2 Dent’s Fizzella Go With The Flo, a pretty headed bitch with good coat texture that showed well, but not quite the head or movement of 1. BARRY DAY
