NORWICH JUDGE CRUFTS 15

Norwich Terriers

I would like to thank all the exhibitors for a lovely entry, I just loved looking at all the dogs. Also a big thank you to my very competent stewards.

It was a very close decision for BOB. Both beautiful Norwich giving their all. But I could not take my eye from the bitch she was so steady & sound on the move.

VD (2)

1 Norrey’s Fleurnor Red Hot Poker, very handsome 7 year old in lovely coat with a good hard texture. Strong head with well placed ears, short coupled with good spring of rib & short loin. Very well angulated behind, moved soundly with drive & reach;

2 Nutkins’ Tebrun Timothy, 11 year old gentleman with a harsh coat & a solid body. Moved out well but not the hind action of 1.

PD (1)

1 Hayes’ Ragus Fabulous Clown, a very promising puppy, correctly proportioned & well balanced. Good shoulders & front, nice tail set, strong head & good bone. A little erratic on the move.

JD (1)

1 Kell’s Amicaro Whiskey Chaser, very smart young man who drove round the ring in style, correctly proportioned head & ear placement. Great bone & substance. Showing himself off to best advantage. His harsh coat was expertly groomed.

PGD (5)

1 Harphan & Hulance’s Caractacus Potts, loved his head & expression, a super dog with great bone. Soundly constructed short & cobby. Moving very well, balanced & steady showing me how well made he is. His coat was perfect & so beautifully groomed;

2 Steavenson’s Brickin Hot Of The Press, another very well made dog, good angles. Classic head & moved out well, like the way he carries his tail. Not in good coat today but you can see it is coming in nicely;

3 Haynes’ Alantros True Beginnings, in lovely coat & a very pleasing head & expression. Solid body & lovely tailset. Not so settled on the move today.

LD (5)

1 Baldwin’s Ragus Fair And Square, what a great little b/t this is wonderful coat harsh & beautifully trimmed. Super head & correct ears, strong neck & well laid shoulders & front. Nicely angulated with short hocks. Moved out well with drive;

2 Oddie’s Ragus Pistols At Dawn, strong head & good ear placement. Solid compact body & good bone. In great coat. Not moving as steadily as 1;

3 Steavenson’s Bricken Early Morning, loved his correctly proportioned head, in lovely coat, front angles were great but would like more hind angulation.

OD (3)

1 Oddie’s Ch Ragus Cool For Cats, lovely to go over this dog, has all the essentials, beautiful head, strong neck well laid shoulders & a great front. Super spring of rib & a short loin. Excellent tail set & carriage. Strong hindquarters that drove him round the ring. He was a little unbalanced at first on the move but did settle just in time to win the CC;

2 Harphen & Hulance’s Ch Ragus Kiss In The Dark, stunning b/t. Showing all the time. Groomed to perfection, he has all the essentials. Good bone, chunky short body, strong masculine head & expression. RCC;

3 Brown’s Ch Ragus The Devil Can Wait for Lastarean, sound & typy this boy showed great, lovely head & expression. Harsh coat & loved his tailset. Looking a little longer cast then those above. Three very worthy champions in this class. Thank you.

GCD (2)

1 Dent’s Ragus Cornish Caper at Fizzella, nicely proportioned b/t in lovely coat, moved & showed well;

2 Nutkins’ Tebrun Favour, short & cobby body, liked his head & ears. Would have liked a little more rear angulation.

VB (4,1)

1 Lazenran’s Ragus Diamonds Only, 7 year old not showing age at all. Correctly made & balanced, lovely head & expression. Strong neck & good shoulders. Level topline & great tailset. Moved out well with reach & drive;

2 Martin’s Baktwins Follow That Dream, 7 year old, looking very sprightly, loved her head & great front. Short solid body. Moved out well;

3 Nutkins’ Tebrun Chocolate Muffin, 15 year old. Looking very smart & enjoying her day. But her little legs were getting tired I think walking round that big ring. She is a credit to you.

PB (2)

1 Hitchen’s Kreatin Hidden Extra, a truly super puppy, feminine head with dark eye, correctly proportioned, super topline & good shoulder placement. Front & rear angles were excellent & she was in beautiful coat of correct texture, groomed to perfection. Tail set was just right. BP;

2 Dyer’s Ragus Luck Be A Lady at Sharnphilly, another lovely puppy. Loved her head & expression & good bone well made throughout. Not moving as soundly as 1 today.

JB (2)

1 Smith’s Ragus Walkin On Sunshine, likes her broad head & pleasing expression, in profuse coat of good texture, good angles front & rear, good spring of rib & had good reach on the move;

2 Kerr’s Sweet Afton, very showy. Short & compact body, used her ears well & showed all the time. Would like a little more rear angulation. Not moving as well as 1. PGB (5,1a) 1 Haynes’ Alantro First Steps, loved her happy little face & sparking eyes, great bone, lovely tailset, moved very well on strong little legs. In quite a heavy coat but good texture;

2 Flannery & Bennett’s Amicaro Hi Kicks at Jacquill, very smart b/t. Pretty head & expression. Broad head & good ears. Not the hind movement of 1;

3 Kell’s Amicaro Jubilympia, good head proportions, short strong body, would like more hind angulation.

LB (7,3)

1 Chambers’ Rouletta Luck Be A Lady, well what can I say a truly lovely Norwich. The best of heads feminine but strong. Well placed ears, strong neck leading into well laid shoulders, correctly angulated front & good feet. Just right spring of rib & a short loin. Her hindquarters are strong & well let down allowing her to move effortlessly with good reach, keeping a lovely topline. Her coat was of correct texture & beautifully trimmed. She was handled sympathetically to get the best from her. CC & BOB, I was very proud to see her showing so well in the big group ring. Well done;

2 Lazenby’s Tinkave Diamond Girl, very smart bitch, classic head & good ears, well laid shoulders, good bone. Loved her tailset & tight coat. Just lacking in rear angulation;

3 Armstrong & Lawrance’s Elantiz Primrose Petal, very typy, lovely head, good bone, moved & showed well. This was a lovely class all top quality bitches.

OB (4)

1 Stevenson’s Ch Paper Chase at Brickin, a very sound well constructed b/t. Correctly proportioned head, good ears. Lovely bone & well balanced throughout. Her coat was harsh. She had well angulated hindquarters which won her this class & good feet. You need to get your hands on this bitch to appreciate how well made she is. RCC;

2 Hitchen’s Ch Kreatin Hidden Gem, a little charmer I have always loved, showing all the time & so beautifully groomed. A head to die for & those eyes just get to you. I was splitting hairs here but Paper Chase won on hindquarters & rear movement;

3 Armstrong & Lawrance’s Elentiz Gwynevere, quality Norwich with a lot to like, good bone, nice spring of rib, showed to advantage.

GCB (1)

1 Dent’s Ragus Just Joking at Fizzella, good bodied, typy head, strong neck & short coupled, good tailset. In nice harsh jacket. Moved & showed to advantage by a very competent young handler.
