NORWICH CRUFTS 13 Norwich Terrier Judge(s): MR M S KING NORWICH JUDGE CRUFTS 13 VD (1) 1. Brown’s Ch Queslade Rebel Red. 7.1/2 yrs old and quality dog to commence judging with, one I have previously awarded top honours to and pleased to see that he retains super breed type, short coupled and well bodied with strong masculine head, neat ears, coat a little on the soft side, but could not deny many positive virtues. Res Dog CC. SPD (3) 1. Brown’s Ragus Indian Summer Over Lastarean. Nice overall shape, short coupled, strong head with good expression, nicely angulated, in good coat, but just carrying a touch too much weight. BP. 2. Phillips & Tate’s Debaux The Guvnor at Jaeva. B/t and not as mature as 1, pleasing type, dark eye, good expression, moved soundly. 3. Crawley’s Ragus Talk of the Devil. Quality youngster whose day will surely come, lots to like but threw away his chances when moving, on a different day placings may very well change. SJD (3.1) 1. Stevenson’s Ragus Now and Forever. Cobby type with coat coming on well, presenting attractive picture, good head and ears, nicely made shoulders and front construction, moved ok. 2. Nutkin’s Tebrun Favour. Masculine head, needs more attention to trimming and presentation, moving a little close behind. PGD (1) 1. Clark’s Honismart Ginger Snaps. Good head and expression, needs a little more neck, but outline detracted by coat being ready to come out, moved better when handler in firmer control. LD (2.1) 1. Higgitt’s Redash Clock This. Good head with broad skull and well placed ears, good body shape, but appearance spoiled on the move by carrying his head too low. OD (5.2) 3 Quality Dogs. 1. Crawley & Oddie’s Ch Ragus Merry Gentleman. Well known dog and worthy of all the praise lauded on him, super shape and size, strength and power in compact frame, handled and presented to best advantage. Dog CC and BOB. 2. Hitchen’s Ragus Devil in the Detail for Kreatin. Cobby and compact, nice expression coming from strong head, dark eye and well set ears, well bodied with well set tail, strong hindquarters, coat needs to come through more. 3. Brown’s Ragus The Devil Can Wait for Lastarean. Completing a trio of three fine examples of the breed, super type but not showing himself off to advantage today. GCD (2) 1. Dent’s Ragus Cornish Caper at Fizzella. B/t with good head proportions, nicely bodied, a little loose when moving. 2. Nutkin’s T Favour. SPB (3) 1. Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Coconut Bliss. Very promising and appealing youngster, short coupled, level body with tail on top and plenty behind, and head held well, presenting super outline and appearance. 2. Kell’s Amicaro Jubilympia. Nice overall shape and size, would benefit from carrying less weight and a new coat. 3. Stevenson’s Ragus Miss Sunshine. Really nice type, but just needs more training to get the best out of her when moving, her day will come. SJB (7.2) 1. Kell’s A Jubilympia. 2. Armstrong & Lawrance’s Elantiz Gwynevere. Feminine head, nice body shape, almost threw away her chances by not using her tail, but did just enough. 3. Arrand’s Ragus Dance Away. Well handled by her young Handler, just needs a different lead to get most from her, nice shape and overall type, and when controlled moved well. PGB (7.1) 1. Stevenson’s Brickin I’m In The Pink. Good size and shape, coat in very good order, nice head, well bodied with good bone, nicely angulated, moved well. 2. Haynes’ Baktwins Amber Diamond. Smaller type and coat coming through, nice head, good mouth, strong neck, moved ok. 3. Armstrong & Lawrance’s Elantiz Primrose Petal. Carrying too much weight, which spoiled her appearance and movement. LB (7.1) 1. Brown’s Queslade Amber Angel. Quality young lady, super shape, strong head, powerful jaw, well placed ears, good neck and shoulders, well bodied, coat in good condition, moved with air of arrogance. Bitch CC. 2. Phillip’s Ragus Madly In Love. A little playful at times, but good terrier spirit, pleasing head, good expression, nice neck flowing into short level back with well set tail, moved well when deciding to. Res Bitch CC. 3. Armstrong & Lawrance’s Elantiz Rambling Rosie. Nice overall shape, but another one carrying too much weight. OB (7) 1. Hitchen’s Ragus Hidden Amber. Compact and typy, good head proportions, well made front, good rear quarters, moved well, but failed in Challenge by not putting it all in. 2. Corkhill’s Ch Redash Clementine. Sturdy type and pleasing to go over, nice head with good bite, dark eye, strong neck, well bodied, nice tail set and carriage. 3. Smith & Hurrion’s Ch Ragus Takes The Biscuit. Another nice type, well made body, would prefer slightly higher tail set, coat not at its best today. GCB (2.1) 1. Dent’s Ragus Just Joking at Fizzella. Sympathetically handled by her young Handler, good head, neat ears, nice mouth, well bodied. Max King (Judge) |
