NORWICH CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 10 Judge: Mr Dan Ericsson (Sweden) NORWICH JUDGE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 10 VD NO ENTRIES 1st: THOMPSON-MORGAN Mrs C Belleville Coconut Ice, masculine, pale wheaten dog, rather tall and rangy all through and needs to thicken and drop in body, straight front, ok behind, a little overlong in muzzle, handled sympathetically by his very young handler for whom he went well most of the time JD NO ENTRIES 1st: HIGGITT Mrs S Redash Clock This, hard-coated dog with lovely head and expression, good bone, front could be better and he is not as short in back as I would like, very masculine all through, movement difficult to assess LD (3 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: NORREY Mrs T Fleurnor Snap Dragon, extrovert dog full of his own importance in the ring and of lovely type and overall make & shape, full of style, just needs time to thicken and gain more substance, pleasing fore and aft, typical head, gassy shower. 2nd: JAMES Mrs P F Bakewood Twenty Four Carat, larger than above and tail carriage detracts a little from overall balance, lovely head and expression, very good body properties, could do with better layback of shoulders, moves ok 3rd: KIRKPATRICK Mrs W Tynallt Trouble Shooter OD (5 Entries) Abs: Excellent class of top class dogs with two dogs of similar type eventually battling it out. 1st: THOMPSON-MORGAN Mrs C Belleville Creme Brulee, really lovely dog in wonderful bloom with harsh jacket in pristine condition, good masculine head, typical eye and expression, excellent neck and shoulders, very good front, body, top line and rear. Showed like a king to win the dog CC and BOB 3rd: NORREY Mrs T Fleurnor Red Hot Poker Res: NEEDHAM, Mrs E & MINES Miss K.A. Foxwood Lucky Edition Of Redfern GCD NO ENTRIES 1st: NO ENTRIES PB (2 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: SMITH, Mrs A C & CRAWLEY Mrs L A Ragus Cool Jazz, black and tan bitch puppy of lovely breed type, very good body, excellent coat, sound behind, moves and shows happily, rather fine in head and could do with more bone even at this stage. Best Puppy Class JB (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: WATKINS Mrs B A Baktwins Dream Summer, black/tan, very good type and size, excellent body, wonderful texture of coat, stands rather wide in front and skull could be stronger, happy show-girl presented to advantage PGB (3 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: NEEDHAM Mr T R & Mrs E Titanium Pop Goes The Weasel, this is a very good bitch who handles really well on the table, she is very well-made and has particularly good front, neck and shoulders, excellent body, hard coat, sound behind, head rather fine, very good natural tail, went well and was an easy winner in this class. 2nd: FLANNERY, Mrs J & BENNETT Mr W Amicaro Hi Kicks At Jacquill, black/tan bitch, rather long in body and could do with more enthusiasm in the ring, feminine head, good bone, ok coat, would like better lay back ofshoulders and more cooperation on the move. LB (4 Entries) Abs: 1st: WATKINS Mrs B A Baktwins Sunrise, ultra-short feminine bitch, good feminine head with excellent eye and expression, good spring of rib, ok behind, coata of excellent texture but could do with better presentation, would have liked better neck & shoulders, happy show girl moving well 2nd: BROWN Mr G C & Mrs C Queslade All That Glitters, very different from the winner and too tall and rangy all through, long back, well laid shoulders, straight front, sound rear, feminine head, rather narrow in underjaw, hard coat, good temperament and movement but I would have liked her to display better breed type overall. 3rd: GRIFFIN Mr J Brenin Summer Gold with Burlmere OB (5 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: CRAWLEY Mrs L A Ragus Lookin' Rosy, all quality black and tan bitch presented in perfect coat and condition, ideal size, very good body, excellent neck and shoulders, level short back, sound rear, easy fluid mover, feminine head with good expression despite being a little fine in skull. Won the bitch CC with a bit to spare. 2nd: MARTIN Mrs M F Baktwins Follow That Dream, another very good bitch, strongly made throughout with good overall proportions, excellent body, front and rear very good coat, pleasing head but large and round in eye detracting from expression. Showed very well and went round the ring fluidly. Res CC 3rd: CORKHILL Mrs R E Redash Clementine Res: NORREY Mrs T Fleurnor Caillan Blaa VHC: Dan Ericsson (Sweden) Judge |
