NORWICH BOSTON 25 Judge: Mr Mark Ord (Marnadee) Thank you to all who entered today for my first appointment, awarding tickets in the breed. Temperaments were good & only found one level bite today. Mouths were good but some creeping towards smaller teeth, not desirable in any Terrier breed so something to watch. Coats as always at various stages and the dog must be judged on the day and performance. MPD (2) 1 Alantro Solid Step (Haynes) has a well-defined stop & correct head proportions, ears well apart, erect & of medium size, good dentition, dark oval shaped eyes correctly set, neck flows into well laid shoulders, straight powerful front which he uses well, compact in body which is still developing, strong loin short & firm, cat like feet & well set tail, well set parallel hocks, excellent texture coat with undercoat. 2 Brickin Walking On Air to Barwest (Mclaughlin) very raw in comparison to 1, has correctly set eye & ear, still needs to fill out in front & ribbing, compact neat feet, good coat, moving better from the rear than in front but is very much a raw baby. PD (1) 1 Pipsacre Wasn’t Me (Graves) moved well for one so young, liked his size & presented a nice profile when standing, correct bite, well shaped feet, moved well both fore & aft with plenty verve, ribbing developing well, firm short loin & good top line, tail well set on, stands firm in the rear & uses it to propel the front well forward, correct double coat of good texture. LD (2) 1 Elantiz Verde (Gretton & Bell) more together on the move than 2nd, masculine but not overly large in stature, pleasing in his head shape with the correct small oval shaped eye, well set ears, has strength of neck & good head carriage, level back line, well sprung ribs & short firm loin, well muscled rear. RCC 2 Ragus Lazy Sunday Afternoon (Crawley) sadly today he was having a lazy Sunday afternoon and did not want to take part so giving his handler a hard time. That is dogs for you, not always willing to give their best, pity as has many qualities, pleasing in size & shape, lovely head, neck & shoulders, correct double coat, not moving as his conformation suggests. OD (3) 1 Tinkave Vibe Setter at Belleville (Thompson-Morgan & Lazenby) takes your eye on first run around the ring, loved the reach in front & precise footing from his rear, a real showman but not exaggerated in any shape or form. Desirable well shaped head, excellent dentition, correct size ears well placed, oval eyes, firm neck flowing into such a well placed shoulder, elbows well held to body, excellent ribbing, firm loin, powerful rear with well set tail, top line always firm & level both stood & moving, well presented double coat & not over abundant. CC and BOB 2 Winflash Feather Furever (Inett & Harrison & Page) another pleasing male who is of correct size, lovely dark, small oval eyes, correctly set small pricked ears which he uses, good length of neck & flows into his shoulders, short back, firm loin, ribs well sprung, well presented double coat, alert & showing well, moved well just prefer the rear drive of 1 today. 3 Brickin Blame The Game (Morris & Reid) MPB (3,1) 1 Jaeva Joy Ride (Dragon & Tate) lovely flowing shape & very together for her young age, feminine & no signs will end up large, desirable head, eye & ear, everything body wise as you would want for her age, excellent handling & presentation, good harsh top coat, loved her low set hocks which she certainly uses to propel herself with, front & rear in unison, well set tail. RCC 2 Winflash Ask Moi (Page) another quality youngster just not at the balanced stage of 1 yet, loved her head proportions & stands firm in her front, ribbing needs to develop & fill out which will help her top line, correct tail set, took a while to settle on the move but when she did could see a stride that was covering ground without over reaching. Should do well. PB (5) What a lovely class of bitches to judge. 1 Ragus Smart in Silver (Crawley) quite mature & certainly well schooled she never put a foot wrong or stood wrong. My eye kept returning to her in this class then again in the challenge. Lovely feminine size, nothing heavy or bulky about her, correct double coat, very typical in breed type for me. Excellent wedge shaped muzzle with well defined stop, correctly sized & set ears, oval eyes, clean strong dentition & tight lipped, quite well mature in body development, showed herself to advantage & movement was free & precise. CC and BP 2 Elantiz Butter Wouldn’t Melt (Armstrong & Lawrance) particularly liked the elbows well held to body on this youngster, another who showed herself well & has a good straight forward action when moving, double coat of good texture, well shaped feet, liked a lot & was in strong competition today, not as mature as 1 but has a lot of desirable breed points. 3 Sunny Summer Holiday by Trutillian (Horsewood) PGB (4,1) 1 Javidel Talk The Talk (Davies & Tinsley) won the class with ease, a pleasing size, well set ears & has good dentition, would like a little more weight, has good depth of rib & elbows well held to her body, compact neat feet, best coat in the class, moved soundly fore & aft just like to see a little more oomph. 2 Alantro Botanical Jewel (Morris & Reid) just coming into a new coat, it was harsh in texture but lacking in length today, won over 3 in movement, well set shoulder, elbows tightly held, also prefer the body weight over 3 today. 3 Baktwins Only Believe (Watkins) LB (2,1) 1 Elantiz The Seasons Diamond (Armstrong & Egginton) standing she presents a lovely flowing balanced profile picture, liked her head & neck, in good body with well shaped ribbing & short firm loin, good double coat, not as strong & positive in hind action when moving today & tending to drop her rear. OB (5,2) 1 Ragus A Fine Romance (Inett & Harrison) stood out in the class, very typical type from this kennel & nothing exaggerated, showed really well in the class just not as settled when in the challenge, pushed hard for top spot & on another day would happily have awarded but the competition was strong today. Desirable type with excellent head, small well set ears, oval expressive eyes, strong jaw, excellent body shape & fill, firm loin & holds a firm top line, harsh textured top coat & has undercoat, tail well set on, compact feet. 2 Tinkave Summer Vibes (Lazenby) a shade smaller all through than 1 but still pleasing in her balanced profile, well shaped head with correct bite, good length of neck which had strength & held her head well & flowing into her shoulders, stands with feet well forward & nicely compact, well presented double coat. 3 Elantiz Autumnal Spice (Armstrong & Lawrance) Mark Ord (Marnadee) |
