NORWICH BOSTON 22 Judge: Mr Stephen R Goodwin I would like to thank the Officers and Committee of Boston & District Canine Society for inviting me to judge the show. I would also like to thank both of my stewards, Natasha Dawson and Heidi Thomas, who kept things running smoothly. My appreciation must go to the exhibitors, allowing me to judge their lovely dogs. I was thrilled that my Best Special Beginners in Breed won G4 in the Terrier Special Beginners Group. 1 Ackling & Dingle’s Kreatin Extra Factor. Red, with great attitude, lovely overall size and balance, keen eye, short muzzle, correct scissor bite, nice front angles, good bone and substance, short coupled, powerful quarters, moved out well, good side profile and head carriage on the move with nice reach in front, presented in good jacket. Best Dog & Best of Breed. 2 Smith’s Javidel Walk In The Park. Red dog of good type, another of lovely size, well balanced head with nice eye and ears, strong well set jaw, nice ear set and correct scissor bite, nice flow of neck well laid shoulders, presented in great coat, not the movement as the winner. Reserve Best Dog. 1 Lazenby’s Belleville Vintage Vibe At Tinkave. Red, with pleasing head and expression, dark well shaped eyes, strong well set jaws, nice flow to neck, shoulders laid well back, good front neat feet, short coupled with nice set-on, well angled rearquarters, nice type, presented in good coat. 1 Jacobs’ Alantro Step Into The Vean. 2 years old with a pleasing overall profile, good head planes, correct mouth, keen eye, well laid shoulders, good front angles, well sprung in rib, short coupled, nice quarters, good topline on the move, in a great jacket. Best Bitch & Best Opposite Sex. 1 Haynes’ Alantro First Steps. Red lady 8 years young, lovely lively temperament, with super overall profile, good head planes, correct mouth, keen eye, well laid shoulders, good front angles, short back, nice quarters, moved really soundly a credit to her handler and breeder. Stood alone and was a deserving winner. Reserve Best Bitch. 1 Haynes’ Alantro Step Into My Shadow. Red, 4 years old, of good type, lovely balance in head, keen dark eyes, strong well set jaws, with correct bite, lovely flow of neck, well laid shoulders, well sprung in rib, short coupled, strong quarters, pleasing profile on the move with proud head carriage, first class presentation. I was thrilled that my Best Special Beginners in Breed won Group 4 in the Terrier Special Beginners Group.
