Considering there were no CCs on offer today I would like to thank the exhibitors for a most pleasing entry in both quality & numbers.

PD (4,1a)

1 Stevenson’s Brickin Moonmaker, what a cobby little chap this 10 months b/t is, with a keen eye he has a fabulous expression, ultra-short backed & well ribbed he has a most pleasing outline. Plenty of coat, which is about to change but is of good texture, he stands on neat feet & moves well. BP & RBD;

2 Lazenby’s Tinkave I’m The Man, 7 months red, only slightly longer in back then 1 & bigger all round but good for movement & coat, well presented & handled;

3 Batey’s Javidel Walk Hand In Hand.

JD (2)

1 Crawley’s Ragus Walks The Line, forward for 7 months, this red lad has a pleasing head with a dark eye, plenty of bone, good set on & strode out well on the move;

2 J Walk Hand In Hand, a pleasing red pup standing in good company with a good head & angulation but a tad long cast.

PGD (0).

OD (1)

1 Crawley & Baldwin’s Ch Ragus Jump The Gun, oh my goodness what a little cracker, this fabulous red has it all. He has a typical headpiece using his ears to give a most pleasing expression, a strong clean jaw, well angulated at the shoulder with elbows tucked in, short cobby body with strength to his short loin using his well-turned stifles to push him around the ring as if he owned it. He is such a little character I could have taken him home. BOB & pleased to see him pulled to the cut in the group.

PB (3,1)

1 Crawley’s Ragus Silk Gloves, a promising 7 months red baby, she has good head proportions with a dark eye & using her ears she gives a great expression. With a straight front, tight pasterns, cobby body & moving well out, back & profile I was pleased to award her BB;

2 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Total Effect, another baby at only 6 months, everything in the right place for this age & showing much promise.

JB (2,1)

1 Crawley’s Ragus Loves The Glove, red litter sister to my BB, & the same remarks apply, with a good outline & balance I just preferred the head proportions of her sibling. PGB (1) 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Vintage Effect, b/t, litter sister to Total Effect, my notes say ‘what a cutie’, she is a pretty baby with a pleasing head & dark eye, neat feet, short coupled & moving off with enthusiasm.
