NORWICH JUDGE BORDER UNION 18
Thank you to the Border Union committee for inviting me to judge and making me so welcome, a massive thank you to my Steward, Claire, who was fantastic with the paperwork and keeping the ring running smoothly and thank you to the exhibitors who brought their dogs for me to go over, I was delighted with my entry and no absentees on the day.
Post Graduate - Dog (1,0)
1 Websters Bellville Striking Effect - Lovely 2 year old Wheaten dog. Strong head with pleasing expression & muzzle, good eye & well placed ears, body shape compact, good bone & feet, moved with drive and soundly. Needs a new coat, as today very heavy.
Open - Dog (2,0)
1 Lazenby's Tinkave I'm The Man BD & BOB WOW 2 year old red dog and all male, my star of the day. He came into the ring so full of himself as I like to see and didn't put a foot wrong both in the breed or in the group. Such a lovely head and expression, correct ear placement, good length of neck into well laid shoulders , well sprung ribs and short compact body. His was beautifully groomed and his wonderful temperament shone through. Active and moved with drive holding very good outline to win this class.
2Kell's Ragus All Guns Firing For Amicaro RBD Another very nice red 2.5 year old dog. Very similar comments apply but another today in a very heavy coat and sadly very dirty teeth. Moved well and soundly.
Junior - Bitch (3,0)
1 Thompson-Morgan, Chambers & Chambers Rouletta Lady Luck RBB Red 13 month bitch. Moved with great confidence, compact bitch who could be a touch higher on legs. Feminine head, well carried small ears, strong neck, not in the best of coats, lovely temperament and moved soundly with drive.
2 Kell's Amicaro Light Up The Sky 15 month old Wheaten Bitch. Alot to like about this lovely girl but needs to mature . Feminine head and dark eye, Very showy, in good coat & condition. Not quite as compact as 1. Moved well in profile but could be a little sounder in front.
Post Graduate - Bitch (1,0)
1 Crawley's Ragus Silk Moth 7 month old Red Bitch. When I saw this bitch coming into the ring thought she would be my winner today, I just loved her. A truely lovely youngster with feminine quality head, excellent skull & muzzle, with good eye, & well placed ears of good shape , excellent mouth, well angulated rear, good coat & a really promising compact youngster with lots of type. Sadly after having been on the table she was not a happy girl on the move and decided today she was going to show at her best. I do hope this was just an off day for her.
Open - Bitch (3,0)
1 Armstrong & Lawrance's Elantiz Mockingjay BB 3 year old Red bitch, and what a cracker. Another bitch that I was very impressed with. And not a hair out of place. Super bitch to go over, everything flows together, lovely head and expression, excellent mouth with big teeth, superb length of neck, well laid shoulders, correct front construction, excellent rear angulation, hocks well let down, moved straight in front with excellent rear movement.
2 Batey's Ragus Burning Question ShCM , Red 2 year old bitch, different type to 1, feminine and not as stocky, dense harsh coat, good head, dark eye & earset, excellent mouth, strong neck, level topline. Showed well with a beautiful outline when stood. Moved ok but a little wide in front and seem to lose her va va voom the longer into the class she went. Lost out to 1 on movement.
3 Crawley's Ragus Feather In My Cap BP 11 month old Red Bitch, another super puppy, not the confidence of the first two, but still from the top draw. Excellent head & expression, super dark eyes, compact with good bone, harsh coat, handled & moved well. Just beat her kennel mate today on her more outgoing temperament.
