NORWICH JUDGE BLACKPOOL 17

Thank you all for giving me such a quality entry of Norwich terriers to go over. I was very lucky to have some of the finest Norwich to judge today.
Thank you also to the committee of Blackpool dog show for asking me to judge. And a thank you must also go to my hard working steward.
I must say I found that the overall quality of the dogs I saw today was excellent. Mouths on the whole were good and hind angulation has really improved. Coats and grooming are exceptional and temperaments were all delightful.

Puppy dog. (2,0).

1st. Crawley's Ragus Scouts Honour. A very smart pup with a lovely head and expression, good angulation which he uses to advantage. Compact body and good bone. Good textured coat, showed steady and soundly.

2nd. Davies and Tinsley Morzi Life of Brian. Very nice pup quite full of himself. Good shape and nice bone, not so settled in movement.

Junior dog. (3,0)

1st. Hitchen's Kreatin Extra Mile. Great little dog. Balanced and compact. Good shoulder placement and strong hind quarters. Excellent bone and good spring of rib. Lovely head and expression, in super coat and trim. Moved soundly and showed great. I can see he can be a handful for his handler as sometimes the playful pup takes over from the show dog. Lovely! Res CC

2nd. Mr and Miss Jones Ragus Enough Said. Another super young dog with a lovely head and ear placement. Short compact body but not quite the neck and shoulder placement of 1st. 3rd. Batey. Javidel Walk Hand in Hand.

Limit dog.(3,1)

1st. Crawleys Ragus Mr OO' Seven. Well this was the star of the day, as soon as I saw him on the table and got my hands on him I could see he was something special. Beautifully proportioned all through, such a lovely head and expression, correct ear placement, well laid shoulders , great hindquarters, well sprung ribs and short compact body. His coat is amazing, so harsh and beautifully groomed and on top of all this he has a wonderful temperament, showing all the time and never putting a foot wrong on the move. Hard to believe he is still a puppy.
C.C. BOB. Best Puppy. Was thrilled to hear he won both puppy group and terrier group. And then went on to win Res. Best puppy in show.

2nd. Kell's Ragus All Guns firing for Amicaro. In lovely coat and condition, great head good bone and moved soundly both ways.

Open dog (2,1) 1st. Lazenby and Crawley Tinkave I'm the Man. Super young gentleman in lovely coat, nice head and ears well bodied and good spring of rib. Correct angles front and rear and moved soundly.

Puppy Bitch (2,0)

1st. Bateys Ragus Burning Question nicely balanced baby with a sweet expression. Good bone and sound little legs moved really well , compact solid body.

2nd. Page's Nora Elysain Winflash (NAF) very sweet little black and tan. She shows beautifully for her handler and she has a lovely coat. At the moment she just needs to mature a little and fill out.

Junior Bitch. (3,1)

1st. Hitchen and Lumpkin Kreatin Extra Sweet. My second star! What a charmer she is, full of fun but gets it together when it matters. She has a super head and a wicked expression, you can see what she is thinking.! Beautifully balanced with correct proportions, short compact body, good bone correct front and strong hindquarters. She moves with enthusiasm and not sure how her handler keeps up with her.. she was in lovely coat of good texture. Such a lot to love about her and still only a puppy. Best Junior. And 4th in junior group.

2nd Smiths. Ragus Way Too Smart for Javidel. This young lady moves out really well, sound and steady. Not as compact as winner a little longer in the loin. Lovely bone and spring of rib.

Limit Bitch. (3,0)

1st. Crawley Ragus Silk Gloves. Very smart short and compact. Lovely tail carriage , solid body with great bone, strong head and pleasing expression. Moved soundly.

2nd. Davies and Tinsley Brickin Chocka Moca. B and T a little longer cast so not as balanced look. But a very honest bitch with lovely coat ,correct head and ears and moved OK .

3rd. Flannery and Bennett Lady Lyra at Jacquill.

Open Bitch (4,1)

1st. Crawley. Ragus Loves the Glove Nicely balanced with correct bone and sound movement. Well laid shoulders and good hind quarters. Made a very impressive picture on the move. In lovely coat and had correctly proportioned head and ears.Res. CC

2nd.Stevenson Brickin Miss Unruly. Very sweet little girl. Lovely head and expression and in great coat. Would have liked a bit more substance.

3rd. Flanery and Bennett.Amicaro Hi Kicks at Jacquill.
