NORWICH BLACKPOOL 14 Judge(s): MRS C E CARTLEDGE Norwich Terriers PD (4) 1 BP, Oddie’s Ragus Pistols At Dawn, 9 months, shapely puppy with good coat, well presented, sturdy body, short back, showed well when he remembered to concentrate, very well handled; 2 Stevenson’s Brickin Early Morning, 9 months. I preferred his head & expression to that of 1. Good quality & type, has a short attention span so not always making the most of himself on the move. Good outline & proportions; 3 Hitchen & Crawley’s Ragus Kissing Game. JD (1) A. LD (2) 1 RCC, Crawley & Oddie’s Ragus Cool For Cats, 16 months, smart little dog, good coat, attractive head, keen expression, compact body. Enthusiastic showman who took a bit of time to settle down on the move but once he did went quite well; 2 Armstrong & Lawrance’s Elantiz Mr William, 14 months, well up to size, lovely coat & presentation, masculine head, dark expressive eyes, responded well to his handler standing, strong body. A bit wild on the move today. OD (1) 1 CC & BOB, Crawley, Sweigart & Beale’s Am Ch Ascot Sanspur at Yarrow, 4 years, eyecatching red with a well fitting harsh jacket, shapely body, used his neck to advantage both standing & moving. Impressive silhouette, tail on top, positive confident showman, well muscled quarters. Keen & focused in outlook, expertly handled. Delighted to watch him win the terrier group under Roger Crooks. PB (0). JB (3,2) 1 Stevenson’s Paper Chase at Brickin, 14 months b/t, pretty bitch with quality head, dark eyes, well fitting coat, good silhouette. Bit of a handful on the move but I saw enough when something took her interest. LB (3) 1 CC, Crawley’s Ragus Look Who’s Talkin, comfortable winner, compact body, good ribcage & overall proportions, clean neckline, most attractive head & expression, trotted her stuff well once she got into her stride. Well presented coat; 2 Armstrong & Lawrance’s Elantiz Primrose, 3 years, eager showgirl who moved out well going round. Feminine head, excellent pigmentation, harsh coat, well handled; 3 Kell’s Amicaro Jubilympia. OB (5,1) 1 RCC, Crawley’s Sw Ch Ragus Comfort And Joy, 3 years, typical head. Eyes could be a little darker. Good body & rib, harsh coat but not looking its best today. Good quarters, moved & showed OK; 2 Armstrong & Lawrance’s Elantiz Gwynevere, 2 years, feminine youngster, good coat texture, keen & happy showgirl, pleasing head, keen expression, fit & well muscled. Movement could be a little firmer; 3 Armstrong & Lawrance’s Elantiz Rambling Rosie. LIZ CARTLEDGE |
