NORWICH BLACKPOOL 10 Judge: Mr Barry D Day NORWICH JUDGE BLACKPOOL 10 Norwich Terriers PD (4,1a) 1 Crawley’s Ragus Jazz King, good type with excellent head & real Norwich expression, good body & bone, lovely flow of neck into topline, good bend of stifle, good coat, moved OK behind. Needs to tighten in front. Prefer shade shorter coupling. Showed well & looked his best on move in profile. BP; 2 Crawley & Downie’s Demerlay American Boy, sound moving. Did little to show off virtues but I made allowance for that because of hot conditions. Liked head & expression. Would like to see use ears more, did just enough to get by. Lovely short coupled body, good topline & pleasing angulation, good jacket. Could change places but head of 1 made the difference; 3 Stevenson’s Brickin Page Boy. JD (3) 1 Crawley’s Brickin Ready To Rumble at Ragus, masculine head with good expression. Could do with shade more width between ears. Pleasing neckline & topline, very good rear angulation with neat hocks, good coat, moved soundly; 2 Norrey’s Fleurnor Snap Dragon, another nice one, both typy & sound moving. Little more ruff would enhance head. Good for body & bone, correct topline, good coat. Shade shorter in loin than 1. Didn’t quite have rear angulation of 1; 3 Horsewood’s Barwest Barnaby Rudge. LD (3,2) 1 Birch’s Barwest Barnaby Bill at Kibkiln, compact, typy, nice balanced outline, accpeptable head. Prefer stronger jaw. Liked width between ears with good expression, very good body, topline & pleasing angulation, good coat. Reluctant mover but from what I did see appeared sound. OD (6,1) 1 Crawley & Tobijanski’s Ragus Star Wizard for Janski, quality, lovely for size & type, good compact outline, pleasing head & expression, good body & bone, correct topline, good rear angulation, beautifully presented, moved well. CC, his third, & BOB; 2 Stevenson’s Brickin Top Of The Morning, another sound moving & typy with pleasing head & expression, has most virtues of 1. Found 1 shade better for size & touch shorter in loin. RCC; 3 Thompson-Morgan’s Bellville Creme Brulee. PB (8,4) 1 Stevenson’s Brickin Dream Theme, pretty headed baby with lovely well coupled body & good bone, good topline & angulation, moved well behind. Needs to tighten in front. Looked best on move in profile; 2 Crawley’s Ragus Lookin Rosie, compact, typy baby with pretty head. Prefer stronger jaw. Good body & good coat. Not quite movement of 1; 3 Smith & Crawley’s Ragus Cool Zazz. JB (2,1) 1 Hart’s Ragus Sweet Valentine for Honnismart, pretty headed red with nice big teeth, good eye & neat ears with good width, good body, level topline & well developed quarters, moved OK, OK coat. Never really settled. LB (5,2) 1 Norrey’s Fleurnor Caillan Blaa, quality, typy, good size & balance, good head with lovely expression, good body & bone, nice firm topline & well muscled quarters. Being ultra critical prefer shade more rear angulation. Showed socks off in very hot conditions, looked absolute picture on move in profile. CC; 2 Lazenby’s Ragus Diamonds Only, another nice one with pretty head & good expression, pleasing body & bone, quarters & angulation, good coat, moved OK; 3 Wilson’s Sheltrice High Hopes. OB (1) 1 Crawley & Jones’ Ragus Forever Amber, b/t, good size & type, pretty head with lovely eye & good expression. Prefer bigger teeth. Pleased in forechest with nice body. Would be even better with longer rib cage. Good topline & quarters, moved well. Did not put all in for the challenge, seemed to shrink into herself at vital moment. RCC. BARRY DAY |
