NORWICH JUDGE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 23

PD (1)

1. Haynes’ Ragus Taking Steps with Alantra. Really lovely puppy dog, turned out beautifully in strong red coat, super head proportions, dark eyes giving keen expression, lovely size, showed well and moved true fore and aft.

YD (2)

1. Graves’ Bellville I’m at Pipsacre. A beautiful B & T dog that I have long admired, he has the very best of heads and a superb expression, super bone and feet, lovely lay back of shoulder leading into a good length of rib and short loin, powerful hindquarters, would have liked a harsher coat.

2. Morris’ Bricken Blame The Game. Very nice pale red dog, lovely size and in good coat, on the move a little wide in front.

GD (2)

1. Gretton/Bell’s Elantiz Verde. Very attractive red dog, very well balanced and full of breed type, super reach of neck flowing into good shoulders, ribbing and hindquarters, moved soundly and showed well for his handler, well presented.

2. Stevenson’s Bricken All’s Fine and Dandy. Very masculine dog with a super head and dark eyes giving foxy expression, I loved his size and overall make and shape, would have liked him to carry a little more weight, unlucky to meet 1 as both lovely dogs.

LD (2)

1. Martin’s Ragus Oh Boy. ‘Oh Boy’ what a good name for this super dog, a really nice dog to go over, reachy neck into correct shoulders, level top-line and good angulation, moved out very soundly and showed well for his handler, RDCC.

2. Page’s Fantasia’s Wild Magic (imp USA). Fabulous headed dog with keen expression, lovely coat texture, sadly today he was giving his handler a hard time which made it difficult to assess him on the move.

OD (4)

1. Batey’s Contilly On A Roll. A dog I have loved from first seeing him as a puppy and has filled my expectations, has a glorious head full of expression, balanced all through, good bone and sound movement, has an abundance of Norwich type, delighted to award him DCC, I’m sure his title is not far away.

2. Smith’s Javidel Walk In The Park. Super dog now 6 years old, pity to have met 1, lovely type, in good order, overall very balanced and presented well, a true representative of this super breed.

PB (2)

1. Batey’s Contilly Smoke and Burn. What a truly lovely puppy this is, great bone, excellent head which will only improve with maturity, loved her overall balance and breed type, she was full of fun which I like to see in a puppy, must have a bright future, BP.

2. Horsewood’s Trutillian Summer Division. A smaller bitch who I felt was a little lacking in bone, moved well in both directions and gives a feminine picture.

JB (2)

1. Stevenson’s Bricken Mint Edition. Very nice bitch who is an attractive size, in good harsh coat, moved and showed well, thought she could carry more weight.

2. Mitchell’s Javidel Miss Marple at Swaiefield. Cobby little bitch in great coat, would like a greater reach of neck but nice and short in back, good spring of rib and scores well on breed type.

YB (1)

1. Graves’ Pipsacre Spring Tide. What a lovely young bitch this is, super head and dark eye, well placed ears and great large teeth, good front on the move with short and level top-line, nice textured coat, hope she has a bright future, RBCC.

PGB (2)

1. Haynes’ Alantro Secret Step. Beautifully presented bitch who moved and showed well for her handler, if anything would like a little more reach of neck, good ribbing and tail set.

2. Smith’s Javidel Smart Girls Don’t Talk. Good for size and breed type, would prefer a darker eye but head proportions ok, she is full of character which is so good to see.

LB (2)

1. Armstrong/Egginton’s Elantiz Angels and Demons. My notes say ‘immaculate’, put down so well, best eyes of the day, so correct in size and so very dark giving a lovely expression, well ribbed and short coupled, lovely textured, wheaten coat, BCC & BOB.

2. Gill/Orr’s Kaju Princess Grace. Good harsh coated bitch, would like more reach of neck, short backed, a little large in eye, good ear set, sadly in profile she stands with her hindquarters under her.

OB (1)

1. Smith’s Ragus Miss Moth. Lovely sized bitch, in good harsh red coat, today was heavy around her shoulders which did detract from her overall appearance.
