NORWICH JUDGE BATH 21

I would like to thank Bath Canine Society for the invitation to judge at their annual Championship Show, the exhibitor’s for their entries and for my excellent stewards, Mr & Mrs John, who kept thing moving freely. I was to have judged Norwich Terriers at Windsor in 2020 which, of course, was cancelled, so was very pleased and grateful for Bath inviting me for 2021. As always when judging this breed, temperaments were excellent throughout, a good entry, but sadly there were a number of absentees.

PD (2,1)

1 & RCC, Crawley’s Ragus Spoondrift. Puppy with great promise, well balanced head, well set ears, strong bite, good ribbing to firm loin, well muscled quarters, good tail set, moved out well, outgoing personality.

JD (1)

1, CC & BOB, Crawley’s Michan Smoke N Mirrors. Quality b/t youngster, lovely head, neat erect ears, good muzzle and bite, moderate neck, ribs carried well back, short level topline, correct tail set, well muscled quarters, low set hocks, well presented jacket of good texture, showed with aplomb, loved everything about him.

LD (1)

1 Page & Page’s Contilly Ask No Questions Between Winflash. Well balanced d, good ear set, used well, ample bone, ribs carried well back, compact short loin, low hocks, good coat texture, well padded feet, moved out well.

PB (5,1)

1 CC & BPIB, Lazenby’s Belleville Vintage Vibe At Tinkave. Showy b, very outgoing, well balanced head, neat well set ears, ample bone, well ribbed, super topline, short loin, good tail set, moved out freely, very happy b, never stopped showing, pleased to award her the CC, the others should not be far away.

2 Crawley’s Ragus Clouded Silver Moth. B of good breed type, neat ears, good muzzle and bite, well ribbed, strong quarters, well presented jacket, moved out ok, not the verve of first.

3 Stevenson’s Brickin Definitely Hot.

JB (1)

1 & RCC, Crawley’s Ragus Ruby Tiger Moth. Another quality b, lovely head, well shaped eye, good dentition, layback, well ribbed, short firm loin, good topline held on the move, low hocks, super coat, moved freely but lacked showmanship in the challenge.

LB (3, 1)

1 Batey’s Ragus Burning Question. Active b of quality, neat ears, good muzzle and bite, well ribbed, good tail set, muscle quarters and low hocks, moved out well fore and aft, well presented jacket.

2 Smith’s Ragus Miss Moth. Well balanced head, dark eye, good bone, moderate neck, held a good topline, firm loin, correct coat texture, did not give her best on the move today.
