Windsor 23 Judge

NORFOLK WINDSOR 23 Judge: Mrs R Gee NORFOLK JUDGE WINDSOR 23 I would like to thank the Windsor committee for this lovely appointment to judge my own breed at one of my favourite shows of the year. I had an excellent entry and would like to thank the Norfolk exhibitors for their sportsmanship in my decisions; I’m sure on another day things will change. The heavy rain spoilt our ring, having to cordon off the outside area due to waterlogging. Many thanks to my efficient steward who kept the ring running smoothly. Finally, thank you to the exhibitors for the wonderful picnic following judging, it was a lovely social event. 1 Nash’s Earthtaw Owain The Celt: What a lovely start to the day. A smart B&T male of 13 months, nice in size and shape. Good head with super expression, although I would prefer a little more strength in his muzzle. He has neat ears and lovely dark eyes. He is short backed and compact, enough bone, moved out well, looking great in profile. He was beautifully put down in perfect coat and condition. I was so pleased to see them win the Special Beginner Group; what a way to go out of this class. 1 Nash’s Ralph Of House Nash ShCEx VW: This 8 year old male is a credit to his owner, he is presented in tip top condition. He has a good head with neat ears which he uses to advantage, well covered strong body, level topline which he holds on the move. Well off for bone, great tail and set on. He strides out around the ring presenting a lovely picture. Pleased to see him awarded Veteran Group 2. 2 Macartney’s Nordalset Little Bit Of Sun for Ivrig VW: What a grand old lady of 11years old. B&T bitch, excellent for age, moved and showed well clearly showing she is still enjoying her outings. In great coat and condition. This was a lovely class of two smart young males. 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Playmate: Liked this young male who is mature for his age. Good size, short and compact, well off for bone. Liked his head and expression using his ears well. In good coat and condition, a little unsteady in his movement but I’m sure that will come with experience. I liked his attitude. 2 Tate’s Jaeva Jammie Dodger: Quality dog full of breed type. Loved his head and super expression. Great strength of muzzle, lovely eye with the neatest of ears. Compact body and strong hindquarters moved out well for his new handler. Not the jacket of 1 today. 3 Nash’s Earthtaw Owain The Celt. This was a difficult decision and I was splitting hairs. 1 Stockley’s Nordalset Destiny’s Child: This young dog was out of coat today but preferred his type and size. Not the strongest of heads but he has neat ears and dark eyes, short and typy with good tail set. Moved and showed well for his handler. 2 Ayres-Cousins’ Kinsridge Box Brownie at Viracocha: Bigger dog than 1. Beautiful strong head with neat ears, enough neck, longer cast than winner, plenty of coat showed well for his handler. Two males of different types. Very close decision and the winner was on his best behaviour and out-performed 1 today. 1 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Plum Sauce: Bigger in size than 2. A Red dog with good substance, and bone nice Feet. Attractive head keen expression and dark eye, could have more strength in muzzle, strong neck, well ribbed body and tail ok. In good coat well-trimmed and presented. He put up a good performance today to win CC & BOB. 2 Jenkins’ Kinsridge Cash Point: I think this young man had other things on his mind today. He has good breed type, lovely head with a keen expression and the neatest of ears but I would prefer a darker eye. Enough neck into well placed shoulders. He moved well in profile keeping a level topline but was testing his handler very much mainly leaning into her making assessment difficult. He is just coming into coat and I’m sure these two will change places on another day. Pair of promising red puppies, 1 being more mature than 2. 1 Brackner’s Bruperhat Spirits Gift: Smart short typy young bitch who showed her socks off. Sweet head with the darkest eyes and neatest ears showing a lovely expression. Enough neck, short and compact body. Excellent straight tail going all the time showing great temperament. Moved out well with reach and drive. She was in excellent jacket and well presented. Pleased to award BP. 2 Jenkins’ Kinsridge Brownie Point: Another promising puppy though not as mature as 1. Attractive head with the neatest of ears and an excellent mouth. Good length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Good compact body although I would have preferred her shorter in loin. She moved out well keeping a level topline as she went. Another with an excellent tail. 1 Tate’s Jaeva Puzzle Piece: a lovely B&T bitch out of the top drawer. Just short of 18 months and still a little immature but I liked her head and expression with neat ears, which she uses to advantage. Good to see lovely bone for a bitch with nice padded feet. Good in neck and shoulder, level topline which she held on the move, super tail. Well handled as she makes her young handler work. Well presented in full hard jacket. 2 Cooper’s Settrenda Saucy Style: This bitch has the most beautiful of heads with the correct shaped dark eyes good strong muzzle well set ears which she uses well. Well off for bone, Would prefer a little shorter in back, good straight tail moved out well in good hard jacket. 3 Nash’s Silverlily Of House Nash. One of the best PG classes for a long while, splitting hairs for placings. 1 Stevenson’s Brickin Country Charm: Dark red, well-made bitch with a lovely head. Strong muzzle and lovely shaped dark eyes giving a great expression. Enough neck into well laid shoulders, strong body and well ribbed. Good strong hindquarters which she used to move soundly around the ring. In excellent jacket. 2 Brackner’s Bruperhat Commitment: Different type to the winner being a smaller, shorter more compact bitch. Not the bone and substance of 1 but she has the loveliest of heads with a beautiful dark oval shaped eye. To be critical, I would like more strength in the muzzle. She is a short well ribbed bitch with excellent tail and carriage, moved out well. 3 Hess’ Umbrage Special Delivery. What a smashing class of lovely bitches. My winner just sparkled the minute she entered the ring, hard to keep your eyes off her and was pleased to award her the BCC, her 3rd I believe. 1 Tate’s Jaeva What The Hell: 2 ½ yr old quality B&T bitch. Short and cobby with one of the best heads today. Great ear carriage and dark eyes with a great expression. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Short well ribbed body, lovely bone with great feet, another with a great straight tail. Powered around the ring showing her socks off for her new handler out moving the rest of the class. Well done on your excellent handling skills, bringing out the best in this lovely bitch. She just started to flag in the challenge for BOB, Delighted to award her the CC. 2 Stevenson’s Brickin Dare To Dream: Close up to the winner. She has a great head with lovely expression, dark well shaped eyes and strong in muzzle. Short back with well sprung ribs, excellent hind quarters which she used well. Super tail and set on. Excellent harsh jacket which was well presented. RCC. 3 Eriksson’s Jiffy Goldmine. 1 Atkinson’s Moortop Bobby’s Girl: My winner was a 2 ½ year typy bitch in excellent order today. Her head could be stronger but she has a dark eye, neat ears and a good mouth. Well balanced bitch with strong hindquarters which she used to power around the ring. A very sound young lady In great coat and condition, a credit to her owner. 2 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Citation: This young lady was not with her usual handler and didn’t perform today. She was choking on the move and this made her difficult to assess. Quality bitch with a feminine head, dark eyes giving a pleasing expression. Enough neck, short cobby body but not in the coat of winner. |
