NORFOLK WELSH KC 11 Judge: Mr D Winsley NORFOLK JUDGE WELSH KC 11 Norfolk Terriers 1 Smith’s Javidel May Just have Too, smart youngster, I liked his overall type & balance, good head of correct proportions, dark eye & well placed ears, straight front, good feet & correct shoulders, well made body, nice bend of stifle with correct tailset, moved soundly both ways, in good coat & showed well; 2 Hurrion’s Villassa Done Deal, nice boy. Just preferred balance of 1. Pleasing head & expression, good neck & shoulders, enough forechest & well sprung ribs, strong well made hindquarters, correct tailset, moving well both ways & showed well; 3 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Burning Passion. PD (3) 1 Atkinson’s Moortop No Choice, mature youngster with typical & appealing head, good in neck & shoulders, good spring of rib & level topline, good turn of stifle, well muscled hindquarters & correct tailset, close coat of good texture, moving with a free driving action behind, shows very well. BP; 2 Stevenson’s Bricklin Look Away Now, was a size bigger than 1 & is very typy, well made head & using ears well, good in neck, but I felt was a little heavy in shoulder & wider in front. Good body & hindquarters, moved well behind & showed well. JD (4) 1 Ackling’s Ruby Rueben, just 1 years, of good type, balanced head & good expression, good in shoulder, forechest & straight front, short compact body, strong hindquarters with correct tailset, in good quality coat & showed with attitude, moved fluently around the ring & holding his topline; 2 Green’s Wharfvalley Gold Nugget, I liked this boy’s head & keen expression. Lost out to 1 as slightly wider front. Well made body & strong hindquarters which he knows how to use, good coat, presented & showed well; 3 Newton’s Penaire Makori at Strathinver. PGD (1) A. LD (9) 1 Matell’s Cantab Winning Ways of Cracknor, rich red boy of obvious quality, nice head shape, well defined stop, dark expressive eyes & ears well placed, good neck & shoulder, nicely balanced body with correct tailset, good legs & feet, short hocks & enough bone, moved with plenty of enthusiasm, in good coat & has that ‘terrier spirit’. RCC; 2 Green’s Wharfvalley Diamond Star, unlucky to meet 1 whose expression I just preferred, nice size male, pleasing head with good earset, good front, well made body & hindquarters, correct tailset, moving soundly both ways & showing well, close up to 1; 3 Atkinson’s Wharfvalley Diamond Bright at Moortop. OD (3) 1 Jenkin’s Ch Kinsridge Top Gun, what a very nice male, liked his size & masculinity, nice head with dark eye & well placed ears, good width of muzzle, liked his balance, just a good Norfolk type, well made front, strong hindquarters & short cobby body, correct tailset & good outline standing & on the move, powerful mover both ways & in A1 condition, pity he let his handler down in the challenge for BOB. CC; 2 Thompson-Morgan’s Ch Belleville Blacklace, b/t, smaller type of dog, preferred the head & expression of 1, good body type, nicely balanced & moves well. Just didn’t appear settled very today; 3 Mitchell’s Roxway Direct Line. PB (3) 1 Stevenson’s Bricklin Hop & Skip, very promising youngster, good balance & type, expressive head, using her ears well, just watching everything, correct neck & shoulder, nice straight front, well made mature body, good bend of stifle & correct tailset, level topline, in nice coat & condition, moves soundly with plenty of purpose; 2 Jenkin’s Kinsridge Gung Ho, nice one who is not so finished as 1, pleasing head & expression, straight front & well made body. A little short of coat which made her look a little rangy. Sound mover & steady shower; 3 Newton’s Strathinver Reddy To Star. JB (5) 1 Hurrion’s Villassa All Gold, very showy, nicely balanced with clean outline, pleased me in head shape & expression, good front & correct shoulders, nice body with good spring of rib & enough depth, well made hindquarters, good feet & a nice amount of bone, correct tailset, in good coat & condition, sound moving both ways & showed with attitude. RCC; 2 Gee’s Watercroft Hot Love, I liked this bitch but just felt 1 was better in expression, good head, well placed ears used well, good neck & shoulders, pleasing front, well balanced body, sound hindquarters, in good coat & condition; 3 Mitchell & Phillip’s Tegwani Crystal Ball. PGB (6) Difficult class. 1 Stevenson’s Bricklin War Dance, nice bitch who won this class on head type & expression, good in neck & front, well made body & strong hindquarters, sound mover when she got herself together & showed for her patient handler, in nice coat; 2 Thompson-Morgan’s Belleville Silk Stockings, lost out to 1 on expression, would prefer a better width of muzzle, a little short of coat up front which spoilt her balance. Liked her compact body, well made in front & behind, very active mover & shower, in good body coat; 3 Simpson’s Titanium Farandole for Megalex. LB (4) 1 Phillips’ Blakens Dolly Mixture, b/t who takes the eye as soon as she enters the ring, one just hopes that everything is there, & it was. Liked her size, her typical & expressive head, clean through neck & shoulders, straight in front & well made cobby body, well made behind, correct tailset & clean outline, so sound both ways & in a well presented harsh jacket, showed all out. CC, her third & BOB; 2 Mountfield’s Settenda Sauce Pot with Jaeva, has lots to like about her, very pleasing in head & expression, good overall shape & balance, sound & active mover, let down by not being in the best of coat but this is only temporary. OB (5) 1 Phillips & Tate’s Jaeva Goldilocks, smaller of good type & well balanced, nice dark eye, straight front but could be better in shoulder. Compact & well made body, moved well behind, in good coat & well prepared. Just didn’t appear settled on the move; 2 Hurrion’s Valentines Cherry Crumble, nice & typy, just found her a little longer in foreface than 1. Dark eye & well placed ears, good length of neck, well balanced body with good ribbing, level topline, moved & showed steadily; 3 Cooper’s Ch Settrenda Saucy Sox. DAVID WINSLEY |
